Mijn naam is Gerry Grealish, ik ben een lokale Nationaal gekwalificeerde gids en eigenaar van Tour & Taste Galway. Ik ben hier opgegroeid en houd van Galway en het westen van Ierland. Ik neem je mee op een tour door de middeleeuwse stad Galway en verken de geschiedenis en cultuur met behulp van eten en drinken als een manier om het verhaal te vertellen. Ik neem je mee naar mijn favoriete plekjes. De tour begint in de buurt van de historische Spaanse Boog met de lokale gids die u door de straten van deze bruisende universiteitsstad voert. De tour duurt ongeveer 3,5 uur met een maximum van 12 personen op tour, waarbij verschillende locaties worden bezocht, eindigend met een bezoek aan een traditionele pub. Privérondleidingen zijn ook beschikbaar.

This was an awesome tour! Gerry is very knowledgeable and he makes sure everyone is happy with what food they have. Little history and a good amount of food and drink. We loved walking around Galway

Excellent tour! The food was delicious. Our guide had selected good places for us to sample the good as we crisscrossed the west end and shopping area.

Gerry was a very knowledgeable, personable, and amazingly fun tour guide! A ton of delicious food and an enjoyable walk through the streets of Galway! My menu choices included the BEST clam/fish chowder; delectable mussels at our 2nd stop; Murphy’s ice cream and then, saving the BEST for last, an unrivaled Irish coffee! We had lots of fun with Gerry, learning about Galway & eating some great food. The seafood chowder was amazing as was the beef stew & mussels. Highly recommend this food tour.

We recently did the food tour with Gerry and it was such a great experience with amazing food, wonderful atmosphere and the best tour guide! If you truly want a personalized tour and not have to think about where to go or what to do and just relax and enjoy, do this!!!! You won’t regret it.

Absolutely fabulous way to send an afternoon in Galway . Gerry’s passion and knowledge of Galway’s history is second to none. Not only was this walking tour extremely enjoyable but we managed to eat our way round Galway’s food hot spots.It was set at a pace at which we were comfortable. We walked from food location to food location to try another piece of Galway’s finest fayre whilst Gerry filled us in on the history of the area and the wider area as well.Gerry was very sociable and really good craic and of all the walking tours and food tours we’ve ever done this was definitely the best!

Just spent an amazing afternoon with Gerry on the Taste & Tour Galway and can't recommend it enough. It is something special when your guide is also the owner of the company. Just be forwarded these are not little samples of food but nearly full sized portions. Come with an apitite, you'll leave full, informed and happy.
