Tijdens deze tour geniet je van het prachtige landschap van twee van de Discovery Points op de Wild Atlantic Way, plus geniet je van een boottocht onder de Cliffs of Moher, afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden. Ervaar twee van Ierlands topattracties - de Aran Islands (Inisheer) en de Cliffs of Moher - op één dag tijdens deze tour vanuit Galway. We brengen u per boot van Doolin naar Inis Oirr (Inisheer) waar u 2 uur op uw gemak het eiland kunt verkennen. Op de terugweg zeilen we vanaf het eiland om onder de adembenemende Cliffs of Moher - afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden. We zullen dan genieten van de Cliffs of Moher vanaf de top door een bezoek te brengen aan het Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience Centre

Tour voertuig vertrekt: Merchants Road, Galway buiten het Kinlay Hostel om 09:00 Gelieve 15 minuten voor vertrek aanwezig te zijn.
Op weg naar de veerhaven in Doolin passeren we Dunguaire Castle.
Houd bij het passeren van de haven in Kinvara het traditionele zeilschip Galway Hookers in de gaten.
We slaan rechtsaf bij het pittoreske dorpje Ballyvaughan en gaan de Wild Atlantic Way op.
Het gletsjer-karstlandschap van The Burren is overal om ons heen terwijl we ons een weg banen langs de kustweg.
Op de terugreis naar Galway passeren we Lisdoonvarna, de thuisbasis van het wereldberoemde jaarlijkse Matchmaking Festival.
Onze veerboot vertrekt vanaf de pier in Doolin.
Eenmaal op het eiland heb je 2 uur vrije tijd om op je gemak te verkennen.
Je tour van vandaag omvat ook een stop van 1 uur op de top van de Cliffs of Moher. Toegangsprijs is inbegrepen in de tourprijs.
Kijk uit voor wat geharde surfers als we het strand van Fanore passeren.
De vuurtoren bij Black Head werd in de jaren dertig in gebruik genomen om schepen te helpen bij het navigeren door de rotsachtige kustlijn.
Corcomroe Abbey, gebouwd in de 12e eeuw, wordt beschreven in de Jewel of the Burren.

The day trip was a great way to explore Cliffs of Moher. The drive was amazing and we really enjoyed exploring the island. Alan was our guide and he was absolutely terrific! He managed the time really well, gave us all the relevant information, and shared a lot of stories that helped us understand the history of the country and of the places we visited/towns passed through. Would highly recommend this tour!

A good long day that was definitely worth it. Phil did a great job narrating the tour. And taking the ferry from Doolin makes all the sense in the world. Great views of the Cliffs of Moher on the return ferry trip.

The guide was perfect, very accommodating, and provided a lot of information and anecdotes throughout the trip. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, which made the day a little less interesting, but we were still able to see the cliffs. The time on the island was a bit long for our taste, but the rest of the day was very interesting.

This was a great experience! I highly recommend it, the bus ride was comfortable even when traveling with an infant. Our tour guide Des was lovely and informative. We opted for the horse and buggy ride around the island which was an additional 15 euro and SO worth it. I do however recommend dramamine for the ferry if you get the slightest bit seasick, the ride under the cliffs is incredible but may make you sick from the waves.

Our tour of the Galway to Aran Islands & Cliffs of Moher Day Tour & Cliffs Cruise with** Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours** was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Ireland! From start to finish, the day was incredible. The scenery was breathtaking, and seeing the Cliffs of Moher in person was something we’ll never forget. Seeing the cliffs from the ferry was amazing! Then getting to walk around on top of the cliffs made the tour even better. The Aran Islands - we went to Inisheer- was equally spectacular and gave us such a wonderful glimpse into the beauty, history, and charm of Ireland. A huge part of what made the experience so special was our tour guide, **Alan**. He was fantastic — knowledgeable, friendly, entertaining, and genuinely passionate about Ireland. Alan shared interesting stories and information throughout the day while making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. He also knew exactly where to go and when, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the sights and take in the incredible views. He is also an excellent driver! Some of those roads were tight for a tour bus. I can’t recommend Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours and Alan highly enough! If you’re visiting Ireland and considering a tour of the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher, book this one. You will not be disappointed. Phil was our driver/guide for the day, and he was fantastic. Knowledgeable, funny, and informative. We drove from Galway to the ferry in Doolin, crossed to Inisheer, Took a horse carriage tour, where you saw the amazing stone walls, and a shipwreck. On the way back the ferry went by the Cliffs of Moher. Beautiful. Back to the bus, then drove to see the Cliffs from the top. Again, Beautiful. Stopped at a pub on the way back. It was a full, fun day, made all the better by Phil.

This tour was a really great mix of experiences all packed into one day. The bus ride had some interesting history along the way, and we got super lucky with perfect weather. Once we got to the island, some people went with horse-drawn carriages, but we rented bikes instead, and honestly, that was the best way to get around and see everything if you’re up for it. A couple of tips: 1. Before you get on the ferry, definitely grab a crêpe from the food truck, about a 3-minute walk from the dock. Totally worth it. 2. Try to get back to the ferry about 15 minutes early so you can grab a seat on the top deck for the ride back. The cliff hike was also gorgeous and a perfect way to wrap up the day. Overall, it was an awesome experience and one of the highlights of our trip.
