Dagtour van Galway naar Aran Islands Inisheer, Doolin, Cliffs of Moher

Deze onvergetelijke dagtour vertrekt om 9.00 uur vanuit Galway, waarbij u per bus langs de schilderachtige Wild Atlantic Way en door het rotsachtige kalksteenlandschap van de Burren naar het charmante dorpje Doolin reist. Vanaf daar neemt u de express ferry naar Inisheer, het kleinste en meest traditionele van de Aran eilanden. Verken een 10e-eeuwse kasteelruïne, een verzonken kerk, een scheepswrak en een rustig strand. Wandel over de rustige boreens van het eiland of huur een fiets of pony & trap voor een meer meeslepende ervaring (extra kosten). Na je eilandavontuur keert de veerboot terug naar Doolin en vervolgt met een spectaculaire cruise onder de torenhoge Cliffs of Moher, een werkelijk uniek uitzicht op een van Ierlands meest iconische natuurlijke bezienswaardigheden. Liever niet cruisen? Je kunt uitstappen bij Doolin Pier en wachten op de groep. Geniet vervolgens van een traditionele Ierse pubmaaltijd (niet inbegrepen), verken vervolgens een uur de top van de Cliffs en bewonder het uitzicht. We keren terug naar Galway via de prachtige kustroute en komen rond 19:30 uur terug.

We stoppen bij het pittoreske vissersdorpje Doolin om te lunchen.
U krijgt gratis toegang en heeft een uur de tijd om te genieten van ontspannende wandelingen langs de nieuwe kustpaden. Ook kunt u het ecologisch verantwoorde bezoekerscentrum bezoeken, waar u de Atlantic Edge kunt ervaren: een avontuur op een klif in virtual reality.
Een prachtig uitzichtpunt langs de Wild Atlantic Way, bekend om zijn dramatische kalksteenformaties en weidse uitzichten op de Atlantische Oceaan.

We had Dave as our driver/guide, he was really helpful, funny and shared lots of facts and history with us along the way. The drive to doolin and back was really scenic, and Inisheerin was really fun to explore. Dave was really helpful arranging the bike rentals. The Cliffs of Moher were an amazing experience. Dave added a couple extra stops along the way, we fed a donkey and got to view the cliffs from another viewpoint. The tour is worth it!!!
Amazing day we were fortunate to get great clear weather. Dave our tour guide is best in the game. Super welcoming, knowledgeable, funny, very smooth and safe driver with a great music play list and commentary. Great job and thanks for a fantastic day out.
The buggy ride was perfect for me. I got to see the island without over exerting myself by walking or biking. I loved that there were different options as my friend is way more athletic than I am and was able to bike the island. I loved the view of the cliffs from the ferry and we even saw some Puffins! Dave was a great guide, very knowledgeable and pointed out great views.

Good tour, our guide Patrick was entertaining and knowledgeable! My only complaint was that the order of activities was listed incorrectly on the description where lunch was not until after the cliff ferry tour. We didn't eat until after 2pm local time, so my entire group was starving!
Tommy was a great guide. He was very personable ,knowledgeable and kind. It was unfortunate that the weather didn’t cooperate but Tommy made the best of it. I would highly recommend this tour.
It is very beautiful, but for those who get sick of boat and bus it is good to know that it is a tour where it will happen. I thought the agency could have warned so I would have taken medicine.

The tour takes place on the Atlantic Ocean, where sea conditions can naturally be unpredictable, and this is something that can affect any boat excursion. For that reason, we generally expect guests who know they are prone to motion sickness to take the usual precautions, such as bringing appropriate medication. Our drivers are as accommodating as they can be when guests feel seasick, however seasickness unfortunately is something nobody can control. Many of our previous guests have also mentioned the Atlantic sea conditions in their reviews, so this is information that is already available to prospective visitors. That said, we appreciate your suggestion and will consider making this point even more explicit in our tour information to help future guests prepare. Our guide Patrick was very educational and funny. We had a large group so it was always made clear to us how important our timing was to make sure we saw everything
We had a awesome driver on our tour. He was excellent at story telling and very informative. Value for money tour. Dress with water resistance jacket. The Atlantic can get a bit rough so be prepared. The day is going to be a long one so take snacks if you travelling with kids.
