Dunguaire-kasteel. Gebouwd door de O'Flahertys c. 1500, Aughnanure Castle ligt in een schilderachtige omgeving dicht bij de oevers van Lough Corrib. Het kasteel, dat op een vrijwel rotsachtig eiland staat, is een bijzonder goed bewaard gebleven voorbeeld van een Iers torenhuis.
Poulnabrone Dolmen, gelegen op het hoge Burren kalkstenen plateau, is een van de meest iconische archeologische monumenten van Ierland en is de tweede meest bezochte locatie in de Burren na de Cliffs of Moher. Het is het oudste gedateerde megalithische monument in Ierland.
Verken oude Ierse ringforten en wees getuige van de toonaangevende herdershondendemonstraties van The Burren, die bezoekers van over de hele wereld trekken! (Gesloten tussen november en februari)

Een verbluffende chauffeur naar huis via de Burren Coast-weg met het prachtige "maanachtige" Burren-landschap aan de ene kant en de wilde Atlantische Oceaan aan de andere kant, door pittoreske Ierse dorpen zoals Fanore en Ballyvaughan. Stops voor foto's zijn mogelijk indien onze gasten dit wensen.

We had an exceptional day on our tour. It was a sensitive day for us as we were scattering our daughters ashes that day and our driver was very respectful. He had great information on the area and shared all his experiences. We were able to work the day to fit our needs and he helped fill our gaps.
The actual tour was ok and informative but our guide DC was not very personable. He never asked our names and we spent about 7 hours with him on a private tour.
This was an excellent tour and I could not recommend it enough! We had Hugo as our tour guide and he was the best. So knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We had a few stops that we requested to see and Hugo made it all work for us. Don’t hesitate, just book! You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back to see more of Ireland with Hugo!
Our family of six enjoyed the day with Christian. He shared a lot of insights about the area and Ireland. We made stops at places we never would have found on our own. It was especially nice for my husband to get a day off from driving and the kids loved watching the sheep dog demonstration. Even with the rain it was a great day.
This was an AMAZING experience - definitely a highlight of our trip to Ireland. Initially, I wasn't sure about booking a private tour, but this experience was worth every penny and more. We saw SO much in one day - and we were so impressed with our driver and guide (Bogdan). He was knowledgeable, helpful, professional - and really tailored the tour to make sure we got the most out of it. He also was experienced and knew how to make sure we timed things so we weren't in crowds (which was nice) and he gave us such a great history lesson. Plus, he was patient and accommodating with lots of stops and great photos along the way.
Was a pleasure touring the Irish coast with Brogdon. Not only was he timely and courteous, but he is very knowledgeable about Irish history and answered all of our questions! For each of the stops, he built a great story that made the time fly by! Highly recommend this tour and will use them again if/when we return!
Fergus was a wonderful, interesting and gracious private driver/guide that drove us in his very comfortable car from Galway to Killarney. He was very accommodating and advised on our itinerary for the day with great local insights. We felt safe (both on the crazy Irish roads and as women traveling solo) and he was so professional and friendly. 100% recommend.
By far our favorite day in Galway. Booked via GetYourGuide. Fergus was an outstanding guide whose knowledge of the area's history and great local recommendations made the beautiful scenery even more memorable. From the Cliffs of Moher, the sheepdog demonstration, to lunch in Doolin and the scenic stops along the coast and countryside, every part of the tour was fantastic. An experience we’ll always remember and highly recommend to anyone visiting Galway.
The cliffs were fogged in but the countryside was beautiful. Loved the sheepdog demonstration. Driver Bogdan was awesome. Had a great lunch and enjoyed a cave and bird of prey exhibit. Great to have a driver to ourselves and we could stop whenever we wanted.
John was an amazing guide! We were so comfortable with him and fit in so much in just a short time. We were only in Galway area for one day and it was just a perfect way to spend it. He gave us enough time to spend in each place and we hit about 5 or 6 different places and enjoyed. It was misty to see the cliffs well unfortunately but still beautiful from what we could see. Would recommend to all my friends and family. Thanks so much!!
