Onze onvergetelijke reis langs de Georgische militaire weg naar de majestueuze berg Kazbek omvat alle MUST SEE-bezienswaardigheden van deze route die u moet zien. Onze eerste stop is op het uitkijkplatform boven het Zhinvali-reservoir. Vanaf daar is er een prachtig uitzicht op dit enorme reservoir gevuld met helder blauw water. Hier praat de gids over het Zhinvalskoye reservoir, iedereen bewondert het geweldige uitzicht op het azuurblauwe water en maakt foto's.
Het volgende punt op de route is het Ananuri-fort. Dit oude fort is gebouwd op een heuvel boven het stuwmeer. Op het grondgebied van het fort zijn verschillende tempels. Een van hen is de Tempel van de Hemelvaart van OLV van de 16e eeuw, acteren. De tempel is bedekt met ongewone bas-reliëfs en inscripties gemaakt door steen te snijden. En van binnen zijn bewaard gebleven delen van de fresco's. Ook in het fort zijn er twee meer oude kerken van Guvtaeba van de 16-17e eeuw. en Mkurnali. De vestingmuur, tempels en torens zijn echt heel interessant, behalve op het grondgebied is er zelfs een middeleeuwse gevangenis in de vorm van een diepe stenen put. Uiteraard zal onze gids u alles vertellen wat momenteel bekend is over de geschiedenis van deze bezienswaardigheden en alle vragen beantwoorden.
Nabij het dorp Pasanauri zullen we een van de wonderen van de natuur zien - de samenvoeging van de witte en zwarte Aragvi. Op dit punt komen de twee kanalen van de rivier de Aragvi samen en, zonder menging, stroom gekleurd in lichtgrijze en donkere kleuren. Het ziet er heel ongewoon en geweldig uit. Dit zeldzame en verrassende natuurverschijnsel op deze plaats kan bijna op afstand worden waargenomen.
We rijden door het winterskigebied - Gudauri en stoppen dan bij het monument, dat onder de mensen de Friends of the Nations van Georgië en Rusland wordt genoemd. Dit observatiedek, gebouwd in 1983, met een panoramische muur met mozaïeken bevindt zich op een hoogte van 2395 m boven de zeespiegel - dit is het hoogste punt van de pas. Het monument werd gebouwd ter ere van de honderdste verjaardag van de ondertekening van het Verdrag van St. George tussen Georgië en Rusland. Dit is een ideale plek om de bergen van de Grotere Kaukasus te fotograferen en te bewonderen.
Als we de Cross Pass passeren, gaan we verder en stoppen bij de volgende prachtige plek. Hier kunnen we de travertijnrots observeren met onze eigen ogen. Het bestaat uit hetzelfde materiaal waaruit stalactieten in grotten ontstaan. Water verrijkt met mineralen en stroomt nu over deze rots, glinstert en geeft het zo'n aantrekkelijk en adembenemend uitzicht dat het onmogelijk is om het te weerstaan en het niet met je eigen handen aan te raken. En hier, aan de andere kant van de weg, in een kleine depressie, klopt een narzanbron, waar je echt natuurlijk Narzan kunt drinken!
Nu gaan we naar Stepantsminda - een bergdorp dat vernoemd is naar St. Stepan, die ooit de stad en zijn inwoners heeft gered van een dreigende lawine. Alle leden van onze groep moeten beslissen wie naar de kerk van de Gerget-drie-eenheid wil gaan en wie hier in een van de plaatselijke restaurants op hen zal wachten. Deze vraag komt voort uit de reden dat de klim naar Gergeti niet erg comfortabel is. Het kan alleen worden bereikt met minibusjes die door lokale bewoners worden aangeboden. De weg is erg hobbelig. Maar toch is het de moeite waard om dit te doen, want omhooggaan naar het Gergeti-klooster is het hoogtepunt van onze geweldige reis. Van de kerk van de Tret Gerget, is er een adembenemend uitzicht op de stad Stepantsminda, de majestueuze bergen eromheen en natuurlijk de Kazbek berg. Glacier - The Bride (zoals de lokale bevolking het noemt) geeft Kazbegi een kijkje ... Ik zal waarschijnlijk niet schrijven over hoe de piek van Kazbek eruit ziet. Kom, ga naar de Gergeti-kerk, adem de zuiverste berglucht in en bewonder al deze schoonheid!

Such a gorgeous tour, guide aza is incredible if you take a million gorgeous emotions here alone
We took a one-on-one tour. The driver-guide Zaza picked us up from the hotel, talked about Georgian history and sights on the way. Quite quickly and comfortably got to Kazbek, Zaza helped us to find a proven carrier from Stepantsminda to the monastery, and afterwards recommended a great and inexpensive restaurant for lunch with a view of the mountain. The tour itself is very interesting, with many picturesque places. Great guide and tour!

This tour takes you to incredibly beautiful places in the region, mountain, river, lake. Along the way, there were a lot of observation platforms, incredible mountain serpentines and a lot of beautiful places where our guide, Zaza, kindly stopped and gave recommendations on where to best take a photo and where to approach, what to see in more detail, as well as where not to poke and where not to buy something. The tour is quite long in time, but the road on the route is excellent and comfortable transport. I want to thank the organizers for the quick answers to all the questions and for the organization of the tour itself, and it was especially nice to spend the day with a beautiful guide, Zaza thank you. We were on a tour along the Georgian military road and on an excursion to Mtskheta and Tbilisi with guide Zaza! It's just a guide from God!!! Absolutely, Georgia has conquered its beauty! The trip was planned in advance, for a long time they chose the firm where to take the tours, so as not to lose... Eventually, what was feared happened! In Hop On Hop Off Tbilisi chose two excursions - to Vardzia and Kazbegi. First we had Vardzia 09.11 - the tour starts at 8.30, the company's office is still closed - we did not receive the promised water on the site (it was not very comfortable, as the first stop was in 3 hours). We had a very small group - 3 of us, so we had a guide for both driver and tour guide. The guide originally outlined the tour format - you ask, I answer. Tourists come to listen, not sit around and make up questions. Okay, things happen, found something to ask, dialogue was there. Well, we think we're going to Kazbegi tomorrow, and it'll be more interesting. Oh, we were wrong! There were 4 people on Kazbegi 10.11 - all the guys are young, with burning eyes, want to hear and see! Once again, we were given a guide driver in one bottle. The first hour of driving was just silent. I'm sitting there thinking, well, we'll probably get out on Military Road and the story starts. Half an hour goes by - the cabin is quiet, the guys are watching a movie on their phone, the "miracle tour guide" is not shy of us, put on an earpiece and on the whole way he was riding in it. Very hospitable! You know, I can write verbatim all those 10 sentences that the guide told us all the way: "It's a reservoir," "It's a fortress where rich merchants lived," etc. Really? Is it called a tour??? "On the way, the guide will tell and show you all the sights along the way, as well as general information about Georgia, Georgians and their traditions, customs and history."(c) -> this is what the website promises. In reality received: -"We've come to the fortress, you have half an hour, so go for a walk." (the guide himself is sitting there sticking his phone). I had to fit in with an English-speaking group to get any information about the fortress, the people who lived there. Moving on, silent again... I couldn't take it anymore, and I said, well, tell me something, just a little bit. The answer is, um, well, tell you what. Asked for a few facts about a Georgian wedding. Live, the Trists ASK to tell you something!!! I felt like a monkey who was just taken for a ride and came out to take a photo on command. The final point of the trip is actually the cherry on the cake. We arrive at the foot of the mountain, where the temple of the Gergetian Trinity stands (at the time we didn't know that this was the final point of the trip), the guide waved to us - there's the church, you'll walk for 15 minutes and go. We wandered silently ourselves along the road (the guide was standing talking to some man at the time), 15 minutes ended and we drove. We drove about 1 km and I decided to specify where we were going next, guide - well, home in Tbilisi. My mood dropped below the baseboard, to say the least. I read in the description of the excursion that will be climbing the mountain, I voice this guide - in response to the gorgeous phrase: "What didn't you say before? Well, I'll take you back now." Eventually we decided to drive back and still climb the mountain to the church - drive all the way to just wander at the foot?! You know, the views from there are amazing!!! After a trip up the mountain, with a grudge in the shower we're going home, the second couple asked me to drop off at an inexpensive cafe somewhere to eat. On the site it is described as "Lunch takes place in one of the restaurants by agreement of the group and guide" - in reality we were brought to a gas station where they bake buns made of layered dough, guys, in Georgia, we are taken to the gas station to dine in layers??? Well, in general, it was no longer possible to be upset, they scored, bought chocolate and decided to somehow save the situation. The girl opened Wikipedia and all the way back to Tbilisi we had a gorgeous tourist guide who read a lot of interesting facts about Georgia, Tbilisi (our local "guide" even commented on something, because it was interesting), and upon arrival back, he didn't even say goodbye - that's the kind of Georgian hospitality. Money paid and drive silently. The feedback was long, but I hope the administration will hear all the comments and take some action! By the way, the second couple who came with us also bought the good reviews of the tripadvisor. So, if you eat out of season when there are no large groups - this firm does NOT RECOMMEND from the word ENTIRELY!!! Ah yes, there is a route to Stepantsminda with Tbilisi for only 10 GEL (photo is current on 10.11.2019) Why pay more?!

Friends, I rarely write reviews. But she decided to write it. I'm a very demanding person and many things matter to me. I'll be brief. One of the most important things I realized. Georgia needs a good guide if you want to really learn about the country and get answers to your questions (and believe the questions will be many), because surrounded by such natural beauty and power, you want to learn more. On the trip to Kazbeg, we had:1.great company, we were all from different countries. 2.wonderful weather, good transportation. 3.incredible guide -Kaha (believe me in 4 days changing 3 guides, I know what I'm talking about)... The tour was informative, with a visit to many places that were simply astonishing. In four hours on the road, I've learned more about Georgia than two tours before. Okay, well, I think that's enough! Better to try once than to hear a hundred times. I recommend the organization company, the guide is definitely Kakha, but you will fall in love with Georgia yourself! And we will definitely come back)))

When you asked for any other tour for 18/08, we wrote you that you can come to one of the most popular and must-see tours Tbilisi MTSKHETA Jvari. But you refused again.
