Voor het ophaalproces : Uw gidsen komen naar uw hotel in district 1, 3 of 4 om u op te halen met de motor, of we kunnen elkaar ontmoeten bij het Saigon Opera House als ontmoetingspunt. U wordt bestuurd door een goed opgeleide en veilige chauffeur met een motorongevallenverzekering tot $5.000. Deze tour is veilig voor alle leeftijden
Eerste stop : We bezoeken een kokossapkraam om te genieten van een verfrissend kokossap doordrenkt met ananas of pittige kumquat jam terwijl we de andere gasten en gidsen leren kennen. Daarna gaan we naar de 2e stop om papajasalade te proberen, oorspronkelijk aangeboden in onze tour sinds 2018. Het bevat lange strengen dun gesneden groene papaja, geroosterde pinda's, zwarte beef jerky, een prachtige toevoeging van gesneden Vietnamese koriander, en tenslotte een handvol extra knapperige beignets en gebakken garnalen crackers op de top.
Nu gaan we naar het hart van District 3. Voor de derde stop proberen we gegrilde bananen gewikkeld in hun bladeren en geserveerd met zoete en zoute zijdezachte kokosmelk, een creatie aangescherpt meer dan 20 jaar door onze leverancier. *soms staat de Eigenaar niet veel fietsen tegelijk toe vanwege het verkeer, dus we kunnen het kopen en naar de 4e halte brengen
Er gaat niets boven Saigon Bo Kho (onze 4e stop) : stoofpot van rundvlees in zuidelijke stijl met glazen noedels, langzaam gaar met hele sjalotten (van nature zoet), wortels en kruiden in een rijke, smaakvolle bouillon *geliefd bij Mark Wiens (exclusief aangeboden op deze tour)
Ho Thi Ky is de grootste groothandel bloemenmarkt, gelegen in District 10, Ho Chi Minhstad, die bloemen levert aan de stad en sommige provincies in het zuiden van Vietnam. Op deze markt proberen we Khmer-stijl gegrild rundvlees, Vietnamese pizza en Saigon-bier. We leren juichen als een Vietnamees Zou je ook ooit raden welke Bánh Mì locals elke dag eten? Ja, we laten je de authentieke zien (niet Huynh Hoa of een andere dure versie) na een bezoek aan deze markt.
Zoals we al zeiden, zal er veel eten komen op deze tour, dus we hopen dat je nog wat ruimte hebt voor Bánh Xèo in Chinatown, dat op 3 km afstand ligt van Ho Thi Ky Market (district 10). Bánh Xèo is een hartige Vietnamese crêpe, heldergeel en knapperig, gevuld met garnalen, varkensvlees en groenten, en geserveerd met zoete chilisaus en ingemaakte zoete saus om te dippen. Daarna bezoeken we een oud appartement in District 10 voor Chè, een traditionele Vietnamese zoete soep, of romige vlaai.
Terug naar hotel : We zetten u af bij uw hotel (hetzelfde als het ophaaladres), of u kunt een ontmoetingspunt kiezen bij bars of pubs in district 1, 3 en 4. Op verzoek kunnen wij u na de rondleiding ook een lijst met eten en adressen bezorgen.

It was an excellent experience. I’ll do it again when I’m back with friends so they can also experience it. Our guides Levi and Alex are college students who speak excellent English. They are young, enthusiastic and very obliging. Great value for money.
We had an absolutely fantastic food tour by bike with Top Notch in Ho Chi Minh City. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! A huge thank you to our wonderful guides Kelly, Kevin, Michael and Nam. They were all friendly, energetic, knowledgeable and incredibly attentive. We felt completely safe riding through the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City, and they made the whole experience relaxed, fun and enjoyable. The food was amazing, and we loved being taken to local places that we would never have discovered on our own. Our two favourites were Bò Kho and Bánh Xèo — both were absolutely delicious! 😋 We also really enjoyed learning about the local food, culture and way of life from our guides along the way. What really made the tour special, though, was the guides. Kelly, Kevin, Michael and Nam were fantastic hosts — their enthusiasm, humour and genuine hospitality made us feel like we were exploring the city with friends rather than simply joining a tour. If you are visiting Ho Chi Minh City, we highly recommend Top Notch’s bike food tour. It’s a fantastic way to see the city, eat great food and experience the local culture from a completely different perspective. Great experience from start to finish. As a solo traveller it was a great way to meet people, experience authentic Vietmanese food and also see the city. The four guides that I met were fantastic, very friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommend!
The experience is wonderful. you get to go to places only local knows and enjoy motorbike riding thought the street of the city. Our guides, Kelly, Harry, Kit and Levi are all extremely cheerful and caring for us. Definitely recommend for people who love eating street food.
Emma and Will are very serious, dynamic, and professional. They are excellent drivers, very attentive, careful, and confident. Jeanne: It was my first time riding a motorbike, at 70 years old, but Emma reassured me and I really enjoyed it. They treated us to delicious meals, juices, and desserts (10 in total). We brought back a banh mi made with whole-grain fresh bread to the hotel; it was my favorite of the 10. We highly recommend them! John & Jeanne from France.

I had an excellent time. The dishes were delicious, varied, and allowed me to discover many authentic flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. I also really appreciated the explanations, the anecdotes, and the discovery of the city throughout the walk. My guide was very friendly, attentive, and professional. We did the Top Notch Street Food Motorbike Tour with Emma and Will and it was a highlight of our trip. They drove safely, explained every dish, and took us to proper local spots — coconut water with pineapple and kumquat, papaya salad, grilled banana with sticky rice, bò kho, bánh xèo, bánh mì, then Ho Thi Ky for bánh tráng nướng, lemongrass beef, cookies, juices and flan. A huge thank you for looking after my wife so well. She is vegetarian and they adapted the stops without fuss so she could enjoy everything too. Friendly, organised and genuinely proud of the food. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, authentic, and traditional, and they took us to local spots we never would have discovered on our own.
