8:00 uur: we halen je op bij je hotel om de Cu Chi Tunnels Half-Day Tour te starten. We komen aan in Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Dinh of Ben Duoc). Daarna kijken we naar een propagandafilm, een oorlogspropagandafilm die laat zien hoe lokale guerrillastrijders "American Killing Heroes" waren (een korte introductievideo die laat zien hoe de tunnels werden gebouwd). Vervolgens brengen we het volgende uur door met het verkennen van het doolhof van tunnels in Cu Chi. Ook te zien zijn verschillende mantraps en de overblijfselen van een Amerikaanse tank, evenals talloze bomkraters gemaakt door bommen van 500 pond die zijn afgeworpen door B52-bommenwerpers. Je kunt ook met echt geweer schieten voor extra geld (alleen voor 18-plussers). Om 14.30 - 15.00 uur komen we aan in Ho Chi Minh City en eindigen we de Cu Chi Tunnels Half-Day Tour.

She explained the history of the Cu Chi Tunnels in a way that was both informative and easy to understand, while also sharing interesting stories and local insights that made the experience even more meaningful. We had a fantastic half-day tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels. Our guide, Bunny, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience both interesting and enjoyable. She shared lots of fascinating information about the history of the tunnels. The tour was well organised, and everyone in our family had a great time. We spent a morning with Bunny going through the Cu Chi Tunnels and learning about the Vietnamese resistance as well as the effects of Agent Orange. Being in the actual jungle where fighting took place, experiencing the heat and humidity and jungle noises, gave us such a great understanding of what fighting during that time must have been like. Bunny was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many stories of her country and its past. Such fascinating stories that opened our eyes to a complete Vietnamese history. Would highly recommend this tour, especially Bunny! We did the tour after spending an afternoon at the War Remnants Museum which was very helpful. Thank you Bunny!
