Dit is een ervaring die je leven en de manier waarop je denkt zal riskeren. Het neemt je mee in het hart van de township om het leven van The Amaxhosa te ervaren. De oorspronkelijke Knysna Township Tour werd 26 jaar geleden gestart om de grotere gemeenschap te helpen. Wij ondersteunen kleuterscholen en uw deelname is hard nodig en wordt zeer gewaardeerd. Samen zorgen we voor verandering, bevorderen we onderwijs en bieden we ondersteuning aan onze mensen in de Townships. Kom Wandel door de straten, praat met de lokale bevolking, bezoek de crèche, schoenmaker, kapper en slager met je lokale Gids, bekijk de Sangoma en bezoek in een echt RDP-huis. ● Sommige locaties zijn mogelijk niet beschikbaar in het weekend of doordeweeks ● U bent van harte welkom om de school te steunen met benodigdheden, kleding of voedseldonaties. Standaard tour zonder lunch Tour + Xhosa lunch kan worden geregeld. Volwassenen 12 jaar +/ Kinderen 3 jaar - 11 jaar / Baby 0 - 2 jaar Min 2 volwassen reizigers per reis of als slechts 1 reiziger betaalt voor 2

Deze ervaring biedt een unieke kans om jezelf onder te dompelen in de cultuur en levensstijl van de Township mensen in Zuid-Afrika, in het bijzonder de Xhosa mensen. Je wordt begeleid door een Afrikaans township, wandelt over stofwegen en ontmoet de lokale bevolking om meer te leren over hun tradities, overtuigingen, religie en geschiedenis. Hoogtepunten zijn onder andere het ontmoeten van een Sangoma (traditionele genezer) en eventueel het proeven van Xhosa-bier en kruidenremedies, een bezoek aan een crèche (kindercentrum) en interactie met de kinderen, die je een serenade kunnen geven met liedjes. Je bezoekt ook het Sanlam Center, verkent lokale winkels en probeert vetkoek, een traditionele snack. Deze educatieve reis zal een nieuw perspectief bieden op Zuid-Afrika en begrip en steun voor de gemeenschappen bevorderen.

Superb tour with a very personal touch. The guide was very knowledgeable and engaging and gave us a real taste of South Africa
Having been into Soweto with a guide it was a much nicer experience to see what the people of a township can do with support from the government. Our guide, a local, showed us some great views of Knysna and talked about life in the township, how people get to own the houses etc. He fed the local dogs who were really friendly, took us to the local store and round the newly built "shopping centre"(great to see investment into the township). We went to the kindergarten and the children were so lovely, very polite, very friendly wanting to high five, have hugs, sing and dance and show off what they had learnt. They were so inquisitive about camera, watches etc and we had a good chat with the teacher even though she was on her own that day. Then off to one of the safe houses for a cup of tea, some Xhosa singing and trying some phrases and playing drums. And finally a quick stop at the guides house on route back to town. Don't worry about being a tourist going to look at the people in a township. Your tour money goes to support the community and the people know and appreciate that.
Great Trip beyond the scenes into one of the townships. A lot of Information was provided by our Guide in good spoken English. It was amazing for us as parents and also for our children. We arrived very Late at the meeting point, but the Guide was relaxed. We visited a kindergarden die to time restrictions. We absolutely recommend this tour.
We were picked up neatly on time and guided through the township. A visit to a traditional medicine woman was included. Special encounter. Also visited a kindergarten. The children sang to us at the top of their lungs. Very touching. The guide lives in the township himself and could therefore tell all about it and no question was too crazy. Really very educational and definitely recommended!
This tour will offer you an understanding of how a township operates. It was wonderful to meet some of the people that live and work there.

Religion .tradition and educational..and you will also visit the Creche ( weekdays) you will interact with children there and being get treated..also visit the Sanlam Center with all the shop and try out some vetkoek . We had a great Guide (Syd) who introduced us to the township and its Community , Telling us about the professions of the people and Their own businesses. The children at the Kindergarten were lovely and excited to See us. It is a nice gesture if you bring some chips or pastry but the Guide will also assist you in buying the sufficient amount and make a Good selection the kids Like. There is a Great feeling of Hope and happiness the children express , which was nice to See. For lunch we were taken to a small restaurant , with a spectacular view owned by a trained Chef, who cooked a delicious lunch !! We wish all the best to the Community and Hope to come back.
