Theeplantage wandelen in Munnar- (door Munnar Info)
Beschrijving
Dit is een rondleiding met gids over het dorpsleven, die ongeveer 2 tot 3 uur te voet wordt verkend. De tour begint vanuit Old Munnar door te wandelen op weg naar Lakshmi Tea Estate, waar je de frisse lucht kunt voelen met de schoonheid van groene theeplantages met een grote verscheidenheid aan andere bomen en planten. Terwijl je door de plantages loopt, zie je onderweg een rivier stromen en drie verschillende tempels en ook de Chokanad Theefabriek is te zien. Vervolgens loopt u via een smal weggetje naar de CSI Church Munnar, die meer dan 100 jaar oud is. De kerk is altijd open voor bezoekers. De tour eindigt bij de Munnar CSI Church.

Gids brengt de gast per trek naar het plukveld. Vervolgens wordt de gast door het veldpersoneel ondergebracht in het afgebakende theeveld met een getrainde theeplukker om hen de theepluktraining te geven en te helpen met hun reis in het veld.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour: Mari, out guide, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, we learned a lot about tea, flowers, birds and lichen. We got a detailed and very interesting explanation of the whole process from leaf to cup. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed the morning walk in the tea plantation and then learning how tea is made in the factory. Mani was really passionate about the topic and it was great doing the tour with him!

The tour was great. Our guide was very informative. Explained everything nicely. Didn’t rush us which made the tour more pleasant. Takes amazing pictures as well

We had a wonderful tea tour today with our guide Mari. He impressed us with his extensive knowledge about tea production and shared many fascinating insights that we wouldn’t have learned otherwise. His calm and friendly manner made the whole experience very relaxing while still being highly informative. It was clear that he is very passionate and knowledgeable about his work. Samy was our guide for a 4h trek to the tea plantations. It provides many explanations about the fauna, flora, harvesting work and the process of making the different teas as well as life in the valley. We spent a wonderful morning with him, we thank him for sharing his knowledge and love for his region with us, as well as for the snack at the summit. This will remain the highlight of our visit to Munnar.

Very interesting walk with our guide King Raja. Lots of information about the different teas. We loved the excellent samosa & tea stop at lunchtime at the top of the hill ! Amazing views
