Voor het ophaalproces : We bieden gratis ophalen en wegbrengen bij hotels in district 1, 3 en 4, of we kunnen u ontmoeten bij het Saigon Opera House als ontmoetingspunt *Hoe deze tour werkt Voor de rondleiding : Ons team wordt geïnformeerd over de ophaallocatie van uw hotel, dieetbeperkingen en speciale verzoeken. Als je ophaaladres niet in District 1, 3 of 4 ligt, nemen we contact op via WhatsApp om een handig ontmoetingspunt bij het Saigon Opera House te regelen. De totale loopafstand is ongeveer 2,5 km, met onderweg veel lokale eetkraampjes. Het is een zachte en plezierige wandeling geschikt voor iedereen (absoluut veilig voor kinderen) *Het menu kan enigszins worden gewijzigd, afhankelijk van de dag en tijd en de beschikbaarheid van lokale eetkraampjes
Op de tour : Uw Gids zal altijd stipt zijn en 5 minuten voor aanvang van de tour bij uw hotel (of ontmoetingspunt) aanwezig zijn. Daarna gaan we met de taxi naar het hart van District 3 om de tour te beginnen. Hieronder vindt u het menu met eten en drinken inbegrepen in de tour : 1. "Bánh Cuốn" - Een delicaat Vietnamees gerecht met dunne, gestoomde rijstbroodjes gevuld met gekruid varkensvlees, paddenstoelen en aromatische kruiden, meestal geserveerd met een bijgerecht van dipsaus. 2. “Chuối Nướng” - Saigon’s beste culinaire verborgen juweeltje, Gegrilde bananen verpakt in zijn bladeren gemengd met zoete en zoute mix zijdezachte kokosmelk. 3. "Bò kho" - Vietnamese runderstoofpot met glazen noedels, langzaam gaar met hele sjalotten (natuurlijk zoet), wortels en kruiden in een rijke, smaakvolle bouillon *geliefd bij Mark Wiens (exclusief aangeboden op deze tour)
Na het verkennen van District 3, maken we een korte wandeling naar Ho Thi Ky, de grootste groothandel bloemenmarkt in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, die bloemen levert aan de stad en verschillende zuidelijke provincies Op deze markt blijven we proeven van: 4. “Bò nướng sả” - Khmer geheim recept voor citroengras-gegrild gehakt rundvlees. 5. Vietnamese pizza - Een goede combinatie van gesmolten boter, kaas, ei en Vietnamese worst 6. Geniet en drink Saigon bier 7. “Bò lá lốt” - Een populair Vietnamees gerecht bestaande uit gekruid rundergehakt omwikkeld met geurige betelbladeren We leren ook hoe je juicht als een Vietnamees, ervaren het lokale leven in het oude doolhof en delen verhalen met onze foodiegidsen *Er zijn veel streetfood opties op deze markt, en we hebben de beste alvast voor je uitgezocht. Zou je ooit raden welke Bánh Mì locals elke dag eten? Ja, we laten je de authentieke zien (niet Huynh Hoa of een andere dure versie) na een bezoek aan deze markt. Terug naar hotel : We zetten u af bij uw hotel (hetzelfde als het ophaaladres), of u kunt een ontmoetingspunt kiezen bij bars of pubs in district 1, 3 en 4. Op verzoek kunnen wij u na de rondleiding ook een lijst met eten en adressen bezorgen.

Emma was our tour guide. We were very lucky to have her. Emma was very energetic, knowledgeable, professional, personable and engaging through out the whole tour. We all had a great time and tasted some wonderful local food. But the tour would not have been the same without Emma. She was just a lot of fun to hangout with.
Kelly and Andy’s street food tour was more than just a way to show tourists the best local places to eat. They are true ambassadors for Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam. Not only did we get a taste of the local cuisine (10 magnificent dishes in total), but we also got a taste of the local culture in a way that only a native of this beautiful country could help us discover. Even a brief, torrential downpour halfway through the tour didn't dampen the experience. Kelly kindly bought us all ponchos and guided us to a dry place, while Andy waited and hand-delivered our food afterwards. Such a fantastic food tour! Kelly picked us up from our hotel, and then we walked across to our first stop. We made a total of 6 stops with 4x mains, 2x desserts, 3x snacks and 1x drink. Most dishes were local, unique and new to us, and all super delicious. Kelly also shared some cool facts around the neighbourhood. highly recommend if you’re new to Vietnam and want to try dishes other than Pho and Banh Xeo.
My wife and I spent a delightful afternoon with our guide Emma, she was informative, attentive and safe, which was greatly appreciated in the chaotic neighborhood traffic, we did the 1:00pm tour which included more than enough food to satisfy even the hungriest for both lunch and diner. There’s no way we could have ever have found these local spots.

Absolutely loved our tour with Emma and Andy. They were both friendly and chatty and very happy to take us around. The food was delicious and plenty of it (even a full bahn mi if you want!). Highly recommend doing this walking tour, you will feel welcome and taken care of and full of amazing food.

I got to try a great variety of delicious local foods and visit places around Ho Chi Minh City that I probably would not have discovered on my own. This excursion time was wonderful. We had a good tour guide, "Kelly." She explained everything wonderfully and let us participate in the delicious Vietnamese and culinary highlights. The whole time we were with the locals. This excursion tip is worth its money, and if we had more time, we would definitely repeat it. We can only warmly recommend this. We were gifted a beautiful time beyond the tourists.
A food tour is a must in Vietnam as it’s the only way you get to experience all the local places and foods that you wouldn’t know what or how to order. This one was excellent. Kelly and Andy, our guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. We got caught in the pouring rain and they were so thoughtful to get covers and reorganise things so that we could continue comfortably. The quality and variety of food was perfect. 10 foods is a lot, but it’s well paced and they order smaller portions so that it’s manageable. Make sure you miss breakfast!
Brian and John took us to amazing local spots we never would have discovered on our own. The food was incredible and introduced us to new flavors we loved. Their energy was fantastic and they were eager to explain and share stories behind the food and the neighborhoods we walk through . Plus, Brian went above and beyond by surprising me with a cute birthday cake! Highly recommend them.
