Maak je klaar voor een onvergetelijk avontuur door het zuiden van de Dominicaanse Republiek. We beginnen bij de indrukwekkende duinen van Las Calderas, een paradijs van goudkleurig zand dat lijkt alsof het van een andere planeet komt. Deze tropische woestijn, uniek in het Caribisch gebied, nodigt u uit om de uitgestrektheid ervan te verkennen, schitterende foto's te maken en over de glooiende heuvels te glijden op een zandboard. Daarna gaan we naar het prachtige El Derrumbao-strand. Na een korte wandeling komen we aan bij een spectaculaire snorkelplek. Hier duikt u in het heldere, kalme water om de onderwaterwereld te ontdekken. Je ziet van alles, van felgekleurde vissen tot enorme scholen vis die perfect synchroon zwemmen. Het avontuur gaat verder met een bezoek aan de Iguana Parador, waar u de dieren kunt voeren en deze ongelooflijke wezens van dichtbij kunt bewonderen. Ter afsluiting van de tour verkennen we de zoutmijnen, waar het beroemde roze water zich bevindt; een natuurspektakel dat rechtstreeks uit een droom lijkt te komen.

Nadat we de duinen verlaten, gaan we richting El Derrumbao-strand. Daar maken we een wandeling van 15 tot 20 minuten naar de snorkelplek, waar uw wateravontuur begint. Tijdens deze ervaring kunt u de lokale zeefauna observeren, van kleurrijke papegaaivissen tot indrukwekkende scholen van duizenden vissen.
We komen aan bij de ingang van de duinen, waar de gids je een toegangsarmband omdoet en je je sandboards geeft. Vervolgens beginnen we aan een wandeling van 10 tot 15 minuten, waarbij u foto's kunt maken van het adembenemende landschap van de Grote Dominicaanse Woestijn. Daarnaast krijgen ze de mogelijkheid om met de planken over het zachte, fijne zand te glijden.

Jonathan Tineo @djtineo was a great tour guide. He is knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and is very cool! He recommends well and gives you time to enjoy the activities. He was also our photographer and shared the pictures with us. At the end of the excursion, he dropped us back off at our Airbnb which was very nice.
Had a fantastic experience-easily the best part of my trip to the Dominican Republic overall. Jonathan did a great job as a guide and host and his passion for showing parts of the country not well explored by tourists was admirable. If you ever need a break from the hustle and bustle of Santo Domingo, please consider this tour-the natural beauty of the Bani area can't be overstated.

Excellent experience all around with an excellent guide
Everything went exactly as planned and the entire experience was smooth from start to finish. The visit to Dunas de Baní was incredible — the landscape truly feels like a desert, and the short hike to the dunes was enjoyable with plenty of opportunities to take amazing photos. Sandboarding was a lot of fun, and the guides made sure everyone felt comfortable and prepared. After the dunes, we headed to El Derrumbao Beach, where we took a short hike to the snorkeling spot. The walk was easy and scenic, and the water adventure was definitely a highlight. The snorkeling experience was beautiful, with lots of marine life to observe, including colorful fish and large schools swimming around us. The guides were organized, friendly, and everything ran on time. Overall, a well-planned activity that delivered exactly what was promised — highly recommended for anyone looking for adventure and nature in one experience.
I loved this tour. We visited uncrowded places, which made the experience much more special and quiet. We were able to enjoy each place without crowds and connect better with the environment. I definitely recommend it.
Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgable! Mostly I enjoyed feeding the Iguanas some romain lettuce. Fun day!
It was a fantastic experience. Jonathan was a wonderful guide. Very informative and a pleasure to be around. He was timely with his pick-ups and drop-offs. The beaches were gorgeous, and it was a magical experience seeing all those fish while snorkeling.Sandboarding down the dunes was a rush, and the view from the top was gorgeous. Do be mindful that if you go to the dunes, you’ll get sand literally everywhere. Highly recommend.
I am a Spanish professor, and I booked this trip to Santo Domingo as a way to relax and have some time to myself before the school year started. However, because I can't sit still, I booked this excursion, and I'm so glad that I did! I was able to try something new and exciting (the sand boarding), use my Spanish, relax in the ocean, and eat some delicious local cuisine. Thank you so much for a wonderful time! I can't wait to come back to Santo Domingo.
