Uw tour begint vanaf uw ophaallocatie, waar u uw chauffeur en gids voor de dag zult ontmoeten. Daar beginnen we onze reis naar de noordkust en reizen we door de glooiende landbouwgronden van County Antrim.
Een van de meest bezochte plaatsen in Noord-Ierland, de verbazingwekkende Carrick-a-Rede-touwbrug waar je een brug kunt oversteken die een kloof van meer dan 23 meter hoog overspant. (Let op: het oversteken van de touwbrug is afhankelijk van de tijd die je aan wal hebt. De Carrick-A-Rede touwbrug kan soms gesloten zijn vanwege weersomstandigheden of reparaties. Er is een wandeling van anderhalve kilometer van de parkeerplaats naar de Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge als u slecht ter been bent, kleine kinderen heeft of een kinderwagen gebruikt die geen onverharde paden aankan. Een ontspannen lunchstop in het Causeway Hotel, direct naast de Giant's Causeway. Geniet in je eigen tempo van een hapje en een warm drankje voordat we verder gaan langs de kust. Lunch is op eigen kosten.
Old Bushmills Distillery: Bushmills Whiskey Distillery maakt al sinds 1608 prachtig ‘water des levens’ en is daarmee de oudste nog werkende distilleerderij in Ierland. Bezoek de proefruimte om te proeven.
We vervolgen deze prachtige dag met een fotostop bij de ruïnes van Dunluce Castle.
Een van de meest populaire natuurfenomenen in Noord-Ierland, de Dark Hedges werden gebruikt als decor voor de populaire tv-serie Game of Thrones. Het was de beroemde King's Road in seizoen 2. De hagen werden in de achttiende eeuw geplant door de familie Stuart. Het was bedoeld om indruk te maken op bezoekers die de ingang van hun huis, Gracehill House, naderden. Twee eeuwen later blijven de bomen een prachtig gezicht en staan ze bekend als de Dark Hedges.

We had an amazing day visiting the giant’s causeway with our tour guides. We arranged to be picked up at the cruise terminal and our guide (John Paul) was waiting for us as promised. Amazing!! Murat was the one of the best tour guides we have had. We are French from the Marseille Region. We had booked a private tour for a Riad trip on the coasts around Belfast. Our English was very limited. We found in our guide Murat a caring accompanist, really attentive to show us the most remarkable sites in just 6 hours and make us enjoy a fish and chips like we never tasted before. Very good driver on narrow roads and not counting on his time to allow us to leave with wonderful photos and an encounter with an exceptional person by his kindness and availability. Murat is definitely the person not to be missed for a stopover in Belfast or even further afield as it can organise road trips all over Ireland. This is part of a future project.

Murat was our wonderful guide. He met us off our cruise ship and manged to cram a load in a small amount of time. First stop Dark hedges then the Bushmills distillery. From the distillery we went onto the Giant Causeway where Murat wheeled my husband to the shuttle bus made sure we were both on, when we arrived back up he appeared with an umbrella for my husband to hold as it was pouring, we then went and had a tea and coffee in the hotel. We had an awesome time at the giants Causeway, what an amazing place. From there we went to Dunluce Castle, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and to the Titanic museum. Every time we stopped Murat helped my husband out of the car and into his wheelchair. He even pushed him around for me. We had a fantastic afternoon. Thank you Murat for making us feel special and looking after us so well. You were very knowledgeable about the area.

Our experience with our tour was the equivalent of flying first class. The entire day was first rate and our guide and driver Francis was warm, knowledgeable, and hospitable. Of all the tours we’ve done, this one by far was the most memorable! The cruise directed excursions were all very sanitized.
