Deze reis is uniek... Als u naar een onbewoond barrière-eiland met wit zand, warm water en veel beschietingen wilt reizen, is onze veerboot naar Shell Key vanaf de boothelling van Fort De Soto een geweldige keuze voor u en uw gezin ! Onze veerboot vaart dagelijks in de lente en zomer en bijna elke dag in de herfst en winter. Deze trip van 20 minuten biedt grote kansen om dolfijnen, zeeschildpadden en zelfs zeekoeien te spotten! We spotten vaak zeevogels op de rit van en naar Shell Key! Shell Key is ook de thuisbasis van een groot natuurreservaat, waar bijna de helft van het eiland is geblokkeerd om de inheemse zeevogels een deel van het ongestoorde strand te geven. Kom naar buiten en geniet van een mooie dag vol plezier in de zon! Voor kampeerliefhebbers bieden we een overnachtingservaring op Shell Key! Het enige wat je nodig hebt is je "camper" ferryticket, een kampeervergunning van Pinellas County en al je kampeerspullen om een epische nacht onder de sterren te beleven! Dit is een ongelooflijk unieke kans om te kamperen op een afgelegen eiland.

We had a great day- the Captain and Kyle were awesome and made the trip fun. The boat was full but there was enough room for everyone. Making the necklaces for the kids (and adults) on the way back out of shells that were found on the Island was a very nice touch! Would definitely recommend!
A beautiful sunny day on Shell Key is hard to beat! We’re so glad you had a great experience on the Shell Key Ferry from Fort De Soto in Tierra Verde and that the captain and Kyle helped make the trip fun from start to finish. It’s okay to bring a little cooler with food and bring plenty of drinks. Current is strong close to the beach make sure you stay close to any kids in the water.
Very crowded shells are everywhere but just small white normal shells way to many boats and pwc going by constantly and several folks were camping there
Traveled with grandson and husband to Shell Island for shelling. Captain Greg and First Mate Sierra were friendly and provided interesting information about the area and what to expect. Uneventful Ferry ride. Sierra made free necklaces for the kids with a shell they found. Great idea and meaningful keepsake for them. We thoroughly enjoyed the outing.

No Bathrooms, Had to park in the back of the parking lot. Had to walk for ever to get from where we were dropped off and North side of the Island, then back.
Kyle was nice and good ride Good beach Easy we saw dolphins and shells helpful fun good day good swimming spot
My husband and I took this trip for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing. We found so many shells and had a blast the whole time.
The ferry was simple, quick, clean, easy. Shell key didn't have as many shells as expected. Ferry was $40 per person and for some reason they do still request tips although the service didn't go beyond ferrying from point A to B.
