Als u wat tijd wilt doorbrengen op een prachtig ongerept eilandparadijs, is de veerboot naar Egmont Key State Park vanuit Fort De Soto een geweldige keuze voor het hele gezin! Maak je klaar voor een dag vol plezier in de zon.Onze ferry boot vaart dagelijks vanaf de Fort De Soto Bay Pier in het voorjaar en de zomer en bijna elke dag in de herfst en winter. De veerbootrit naar het eiland is ongeveer 45-60 minuten en biedt grote kansen om dolfijnen, zeeschildpadden en soms zelfs lamantijnen te spotten! We spotten vaak zeevogels op de rit van en naar Egmont Key Island aan boord van de Hubbard’s Ferry, onze grote blauwe boot. Eenmaal op het eiland (3 uur), Egmont Key biedt grote beschietingen, zwemmen, en mogelijkheden voor avonturen. Waaronder Fort Dade, een fort dat dateert uit de Spaans-Amerikaanse oorlog om te verkennen. Egmont Key is ook de thuisbasis van een grote populatie van bedreigde inheemse gopher schildpadden! Snorkelen wordt apart verkocht op de dag van de reis en is niet altijd gegarandeerd. Afhankelijk van waterkwaliteit, weer, roofvissen.

The co-captains were great. Zip and Colin. They gave us good advice, provided a pleasant trip to and from the key, and the key itself was well-worth visiting. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Even better than the kayak trip we took to Shell Key, though that was great as well.
There's something special about making the trip across to Egmont Key and having plenty of time to experience the island for yourself. Zip and Collin were amazing Captains! We saw dolphins and manatees! The snorkeling was a lot of fun and the beach time was great! Would definitely recommend to all ages . They even let my granddaughter drive!

We had such a fun day exploring Egmont Key and visiting the historic lighthouse. It was our wedding anniversary and we had been married at a lighthouse in Wildwood, NJ. It was fun taking the trip to get another lighthouse pic to celebrate. Our capt. Robin and first mate (I should have written the review sooner but I think maybe her name was Bre?) were great. We didn’t have the most amazing weather but luckily Mother Nature held off the heavy rain until after we were docked. The crew handled the weather like the pros they are and kept us entertained. We often have guests visit us at our Florida home and I am sure we will book again when we are looking for something different to do with them. We will likely try the fishing next!

What a fun and beautiful day! We had a great experience on the ferry over (our crew Captain Zip and Colin were both great); had fun snorkeling for the first hour and then a gorgeous walk through the island and swimming in the beautiful gulf for the last couple of hours. On the return ferry, we saw dolphin! We highly recommend this excursion.

We went on the Egmont Key Ferry trip as part of out 25th Anniversary vacation. It was wonderful. The guides (Zip and Colin with Hubbards) were awesome! They were very friendly guys and made it a lot of fun. The Key was beautiful and a lot of fun to explore...and the water was amazing. Definitely recommend! ,

We had a great time exploring the island, lighthouse, old fort & walked the trails. Paused under the palms through a pop-up shower. That drew out many gopher tortoises. Back on the beach we watched as a couple manatees swam past. Played in the water for a good while, then relaxed on the beach, shelling for the remainder of the afternoon. Captain Zep & first mate Cody made sure that we had the opportunity for dolphin viewing while enjoying a first class play list.
Enjoyed our trip to Egmont key. Weather was great, boat ride was fun, saw dolphins & manatees, captain & co-captain were informative, helpful & fun!! We hiked the trails & enjoyed hanging out on the beach, almost like having our own private beach!! Saw some dolphins from the beach, collected some good shells. Very fun & relaxing time. We highly recommend!!!! Bring plenty of water, it was hot when we were there. They sell snacks & drinks on the boat that are quite reasonably priced! Bring anything you might like to use on the beach especially an umbrella if you have one, they do have umbrellas on the boat you can rent and again reasonably priced, I believe $5. Thanks again for the fun time!!

Fun beach day and our captain and crew were exceptional. We got to see several dolphins on our way back. And 3 manatee that swam close to our area. Overall the trip was excellent from start to finish. FYI bring some kind of shade. The crew on the 11am: 6-19-26 provided exceptional service.

This was a great, smooth ride to Egmont key! Having 3 hours to exlpore the island and enjoy the beach was more than enough time. The crew, Robin & Tim are amazing. The offered great history/information about the area, took the time to slowdown so we can admire dolphins and manatees, and most importantly, brought us back safely. I highly recommend this ferry to Egmont.
