Reis van Jerevan naar Tbilisi en bezoek onderweg de pareltjes van Noord-Armenië. Deze unieke tour combineert zowel tour als transport, zodat u het meeste uit uw tijd haalt. Geniet 's ochtends van vers gebakken gebak van een bakkerij in Aparan. Bezoek twee bezienswaardigheden die op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staan, beginnend bij Sanahin met zijn serene en rustige omgeving. Vervolgens naar Haghbat, genesteld in de toppen van de Debed Canyon tussen weelderige groene velden. Geniet van een door een familie georganiseerde traditionele Armeense BBQ-lunch. Geniet van de oude fresco's van de kerk in het fort-klooster van Akhtala. U komt Georgië binnen en komt aan in Tbilisi.

Van Yerevan naar Gntunik duurt het anderhalf uur, waar we 's ochtends genieten van versgebakken gebak van een bakkerij in Aparan.
Op weg naar het Sanahain-klooster passeren we de hoogste berg van Armenië. Met zijn vier toppen is de berg Aragats 4.096 meter hoog. Midden op deze prachtige berg bevindt zich ook een schepper aangezien het ooit een actieve vulkaan was.
Deze UNESCO-erfgoedlocatie werd gebouwd in 966 na Christus en was met zijn serene en rustige omgeving een van de belangrijkste culturele, religieuze en educatieve locaties. Gebouwd ter ere van Gurgen en Smbat stond Bagratuis Sanahin altijd onder de bescherming van de adel. Verken de prachtige bouwwerken van het Sanahin-klooster en leer de legendarische geschiedenis ervan kennen.
Genesteld in de toppen van het Debed Canyon Haghpat-klooster is het eerste UNESCO-werelderfgoed in Armenië. Gebouwd in 976 na Christus, is de constructie nauw verwant aan het "zuster" klooster Sanahin. Verken het pittoreske kloostercomplex, bewonder de klassieke Armeense muurschilderingen, leer de romantische geschiedenis van Sayat-Nova kennen en nog veel meer.
Proef de beroemde Armeense BBQ in een lokaal huis met het mooiste uitzicht op de Debed Canyon. Leer meer over het lokale dorpsleven en geniet van de lokale zelfgemaakte gerechten.
Het Akhtala- of Pghndzevank-klooster is beroemd om zijn iconische 13e-eeuwse fresco's in klassiek Byzantijnse stijl. De fresco's van het Akhtala-klooster zijn uniek voor heel Armenië en vormen de grootste showcase van Byzantijnse kunst buiten het Byzantijnse rijk. Leer de geschiedenis achter het klooster en zijn adembenemende fresco's. Ontdek meer over de lokale legendes van kopermijnwerkers en beroemde mensen.
We zullen de grens tussen Armenië en Georgië oversteken bij Bagratashen.
De eindbestemming is de prachtige hoofdstad van Georgië, Tbilisi. Nadat we de grens zijn overgestoken, rijden we zonder te stoppen rechtstreeks naar Tbilisi. De tour eindigt in de buurt van Envoy Tbilisi, gelegen in de oude binnenstad.

We needed a transfer, and choosing with Envoy was the absolute best decision. Instead of spending hours just stuck inside a car, it was wonderful day trip filled with fantastic sightseeing stops. Like our other Envoy experiences, it also had a delicious lunch at a local family home. It is the perfect way to combine the necessary transit with exploring the country. Highly recommend!

This was an excellent way to see some more of Armenia while also getting from Yerevan to Tbilisi. Our guide, Ida was excellent : knowledge and great company. The stops along the way were all interesting. The Armenian family lunch was sumptuous. The driver was very competent. All in all a great day.

Best option to transfer from Yerevan to Tiblisi. Despite the cloudy weather we have seen magical places, had nice food and the guide has made the difference. Friendly, prepared and never boring.

The tour was Tbilisi to Yerevan. We saw 3 important monasteries. Ended in the Envoy hostel in Yerevan. The luch was amazing and very abundant. The guide SITA was excellent! Definitely a great value!

Just had an excellent trip from Tbilisi down to Yerevan with Envoy guided by Edyoz. Everything was taken care of. We stopped at about 5/6 towns visiting ancient cathedrals and monasteries… our lunch was something special -at a private family in a small town. The food was delicious and plentiful. We then stopped for a quick sweet treat before reaching the city centre of Yerevan. Highly recommended 👍

It was great, I took it from Tbilisi to Yerevan. Beforehand i wanted to see Debed canyon but there aren’t really tours from Yerevan going there and this tour is a great way to see it. You’ll also get to bond with the others on the tour, meaning you’ll have friends when you arrive in the new city
