Een reeks historische tuinen uit verschillende perioden en hun paleisachtige gebouwen, sommige uit de Nasrid-periode.
Het zijn de woningen die de verschillende sultans uit de Nasrid-periode voor zichzelf en hun hofhouding gebruikten. Er zijn drie hoofdgebieden, onafhankelijk maar met elkaar verbonden: Mexuar, Palacio de Comares en Palacio de los Leones.
De oudste locatie en daarom de eerste die werd gebouwd. Deze omheining beschermde niet alleen de sultan, maar bevatte ook een hele miniatuurstad waar de koninklijke dienst en de wacht van de sultan gehuisvest waren.
Het mooiste paleis uit de Spaanse renaissance werd midden in het Alhambra gebouwd als symbool van de overwinning van het rijk dat het laatste moslimkoninkrijk op het Iberisch schiereiland versloeg.
We mogen een bezoek aan het Palacio del Partal, waaraan het zijn naam ontleent, niet missen, en de vijver ernaast aanschouwen, en de Torre de las Damas, de enige overblijfselen die ervan bewaard zijn gebleven.

Marta was a great guide and we enjoyed the slow paced friendly walk. We were a small group so plenty of time to chat and take pictures. It was hot but we took breaks and didnt feel rushed at all despite the crowds.

Lots of walking. Almost 5kms. Bring lots of water. Guide was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent, knowledgeable guide, amiable, attentive to needs, open to questions, very pleasant experience. However, we bought tickets in Canada, were charged in American dollars but were not informed of this fact. Annoying, costly and underhanded. Will not use your service again.
The Good: The guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the history and workings of the Alhambra. The Bad: Admin is really scrambled. At least two tour members were turned away at the entrance because their tickets were misprinted, and at least one at the Nasrid Palaces because their ticket printed with a completely different, earlier time slot than everyone else’s. The tour ticket can be refunded but some people organize a trip to Granada mainly or solely because they want to see the Alhambra, so something like this can be devastating for them.
