Beschrijving
We rijden door het Tpc suikerriet plantage gebied met zijn kleine boerderijen en huizen. Je fietst langs scholen, moskeeën en kerken. Uw reis neemt u mee naar de nabijgelegen rijstvelden, waar u een stop maakt en als u dat wilt, de veldwerkers een helpende hand kunt bieden. Nadien zul je beter begrijpen hoeveel hard werk in één zak rijst gaat. Verrijkt met deze intense ervaring bezoeken we een lokaal gezin voor de lunch. Rijst is een van de belangrijkste componenten van maaltijden in Tanzania en je krijgt de kans om het thuis te proeven in een traditionele maaltijd genaamd Pilau. Laat u verwennen door de gastvrijheid van de lokale familie terwijl u op hun veranda zit en een maaltijd en gedachten over het leven met hen deelt. Vol brandstof ga je verder met de fietstocht door het Rau-bos, een natuurlijke schoonheid net achter de stad Moshi. Pas op voor colobus-apen in de boomkronen met hun lange donzige staarten.

Je zult het gevoel hebben dat je op een filmset uit de jaren 1900 zit en nog steeds de bruisende energie kunt voelen die deze magische plek ongeveer honderd jaar geleden had. Met een beetje geluk heb je het beste uitzicht op Kilimanjaro terwijl je een koud Kilimanjaro-bier drinkt uit de bar van het station, reflecterend op het ongelooflijke avontuur van vandaag. Onze gids neemt je mee terug naar je accommodatie, waar je je benen en armen kunt strekken na een dag op de ruwe wegen van Tanzania.

We had a great bike ride with George. Going by bike was a great opportunity to see the beautiful countryside of Moshi. George was very informed and told us a lot about Moshi. We had a great time and would recommend this tour!
Roy was a fantastic commentator and tailored our tour to our needs. The bikes were great. Our guide, George, was knowledgeable, flexible and his pacing was perfect.We rode roughly 40km visiting several sights. We highly recommend this company and this tour. It exceeded our expectations!

Do you love biking and exploring new places? If so, you might want to check out Kili Bike Adventures, a company that offers bike tours in Moshi and Kili. I had a blast riding with them, and I saw so many things that I would have missed otherwise. I recommend them to anyone who wants to have a fun and adventurous day in Moshi. Roy, the owner, was professional and helpful. He arranged a bike ride that suited me and my transportation. He gave me all the details and made me feel comfortable and excited. George, my guide, was friendly and informative. He explained everything along the way, took hundreds of pictures, and showed me some of the local delicacies and fruits. The bike ride was amazing and rewarding. I rode through sugarcane plantations, rice fields, forests, villages, wildlife (Colobus monkeys, Blue monkeys, birds), and culture. I learned a lot and I enjoyed every moment. Roy and George were great hosts and gave me a t-shirt as a souvenir. I am grateful and I want to ride with them again.

We had the pleasure to do the tour bike with George. He was great and explaining everything about sugar and rice plantation, and Moshi people. We stop for lunch in Rau Forest and it was very nice. The view of green plantation around worth the ride. They have more tours exploring KiIi but we did not have so much time but I'm quite sure it's amazing. I higly recommend these guys. 👍

We went a whole day on a bike tour with Kili bike. It was great. We saw the beautiful forest, Moshi ,and the rice fields. We did the cycling tour, which is a loop of roughly 25 km that goes through the Rau forest and along the rice fields. Afterwards we were treated to a very nice lunch in the forest. Highly recommended

What an absolute unique experience with Kili Bike Adventures! We didn't really know what to expect when signing up for the tour and were rewarded with an incredible bike ride. It was like cycling through town with your local friend. From visiting a local inventor and his self made production side, helping out in a rice field to plant the rice seedlings to cycling through the mystic rau forest, the entire trip felt like an incredible adventure! Said is very easy going and really made us feel welcome. We had a super fun day with him and couldn't recommend his tour enough. He's very knowledgeable and the bikes were very high quality and super well maintained.
Very nice ride, good bikes, we were followed by a photographer on a motorcycle who took photos of us throughout the ride and who sent us all the photos by email afterwards, free of charge. Super nice!
We went on the Rau forest biking tour with George and had an incredible time. The bikes are top notch, no rust or broken parts as you normally find it on rent-a-bikes on holidays. Best part was to cycle through the villages and seeing rural tansanian every days life (rice fields, harvested sugar cane, people washing clothes in river etc). But of course Rau forest and the monkeys were also worth going there. Felt save and well taken care off all the time!
My mom, girlfriend and myself booked the Forest bike tour on 13 July, and it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! First of all, the tour itself was very nice. You get a good grasp of Moshi, visit the main interesting places and learn a lot about the history. Secondly, the organization is run very smoothly by Roy, who can answer all your questions and needs. Thirdly, and undoubtly the best part of this trip, was our guide George. We can't stress this enough: George is really wonderful. He knows a lot about his town and country, but more than that: he guides you with passion and pride. It's a pleasure to listen to George and you see he sincerely enjoys this. He is also very friendly and relax (hakuna matatta). My mom had some issues with the weather and distance, so he made sure to do frequent stops. Towards the end, he even carried her bike and we walked a bit so she could relax. Overall, the tour and its crew deserves nothing less than 5 stars, and we highly recommend booking a tour when you visit Moshi, no matter your age, you will not regret. Finally, thanks again to George, you're amazing!
