Boek een dagwandeling in het Rau Forest Reserve, vlakbij de stad Moshi in Tanzania
Beschrijving
De boom wordt gebruikt door de traditionele genezers uit de nabijgelegen gemeenschappen voor rituelen en medicinale doeleinden met behulp van de schors van de boom. Sommige mensen geloven dat de boom kan worden gebruikt om de boze geest weg te jagen. De boswandeling omvat ook een bezoek en indien geïnteresseerd deel te nemen aan ons behoudsinitiatief om ofwel 30-45 minuten door te brengen in onze boomkwekerijen water te geven en jonge zaailingen te beheren of wat bomen te planten om het bos te beschermen. Vanaf de rand van het bos in het zuidelijke deel, kan de wandeling worden uitgebreid naar de rijstboerderijen waar de lokale boeren een irrigatiesysteem bewerken tot meer dan 3000 ha rijstvelden.

Peter was an amazing guide and picked us up at our hotel and even brought us back again. He told us all about the different animals, trees and plants whilst the forest walk. He is so funny and his interest for wildlife is addictive and we loved to hear about his stories. He has a lot of experience and we would recommend going on a tour with him anytime. The forest tour was great. It was really nice to get out of the city buzz for a few hours and take some time to explore around the forest, rice field's and see the monkeys! Peter was a really good guide, he knew a lot about the forest, different trees and animals and the lifestyle of the farmers. Very much recommend :-)

The Rau Forest Hiking Tour was really nice! We saw lots of monkeys and special kind of trees and fruits. We also really enjoyed the Rice fields, it was wonderful! You could walk between the fields. The guide Peter has lots of knowledge and is really kind. He is very flexibel and willing to help you. He picked us up at our accomodation. We would definitely recommend this tour to others!
