Hoogtepunten: Fietsen door het bos, Ervaar het lokale dorpsleven van de Chagga-stam rond Moshi, Bezienswaardigheden Mt Kilimanjaro op savannegebied. Deze rit neemt je mee door fascinerende Moshi-dorpen (platteland). Je zult zien hoe lokale mensen hun kleine stukje land kunnen beheren om het hele jaar door voedsel voor hun families te produceren door middel van gemengde landbouw. Je rijdt door rijstvelden, suikerrietvelden, bezienswaardigheden Colobus apen in het bos van Rau en Mt.kilimanjaro en komen aan bij een oud treinstation dat vastzit in de tijd. Touroverzicht: duur 4 tot 5 uur, niveau: beginner, pad; asfalt- en grindweg, totale afstand: 20 km. Routebeschrijving: We rijden door het TPC-suikerrietplantagegebied op vlak terrein en gaan vervolgens naar het zuiden langs rijstvelden, moskeeën, kerken en stoppen bij de lokale markt in een nieuw landdorp. Je reis brengt je naar het gereserveerde Rau-bos waar je kunt genieten van bezienswaardigheden Colobus-apen voordat je naar onze eindbestemming gaat op een oud treinstation dat sinds de kolonietijd met Duitsland is gebouwd

Pas op voor colobus-apen in de boomkronen met hun lange pluizige staart. Rij door rijstvelden, spot Colobus-apen in het bos van Rau en arriveer op een oud treinstation dat op tijd vastzit. • Pad: off-road & verhard • Hoogtepunten: Fietsen door suikerrietplantage, Prachtige natuur, Fietsen door rijstvelden, Rit in het bos, Colobus-apen te zien.
Hoogtepunten: fiets naar de stad Moshi, bezoek de lokale markten (mbuyuni-markt) en de vismarkt (Manyema-markt) bezoek het oude treinstation en de historische klokkenstad in het stadscentrum langs de grote hindoe-tempel en de Afrikaanse cadeauwinkel (Mama Africa-winkel)
De Kilimanjaro-regio is de thuisbasis van de hoogste berg van Afrika. De Kilimanjaro-berg en het platteland van Moshi-dorpen zijn de beste plaatsen voor sightseeing vanuit de verte, aangezien er geen hoge gebouwen of bomen in dit savannegebied zijn. Hoogtepunten: fiets door de Karanga-rivier, het suikerrietveld van de Rau-rivier Tpc, het rijstveld langs de kleine dorpjes, huizen, moskeeën en grote Lutherse kerken gebouwd door Duitsland tijdens de kolonietijd.

It’s one-day cycling at west Kilimanjaro. Professional guidance and equipments, phenomenal views and animal encounters, and diverse landscapes and village environments. It’s definitely a fulfilled day with a lot of joys. Looking forward to exploring other areas with Bike 2 Kili!

I chose the 25km route with the guide Alpha. I am not professional in cycling but I also really enjoyed the trip. We passed by rice farm, maize farm, sugar cane farm and villages. The views are very beautiful and peaceful. And the guide is very friendly and professional. My bike broke down on the half way, but Alpha fixed it in short time. He is also very patient and friendly, and always happy to help me take photos. And always check on me as well. Good experience!

Well worth it! Saw amazing sights that otherwise wouldn't have. Easy riding, mostly flat. Alfe was a great guide, always felt safe. Good value for $.

I had a wonderful tour with Alpha. It allowed me to see a side of Moshi that I would never have been able to experience on my own or while driving. We visited villages, local life, and farms, and I particularly enjoyed the forest. The total tour lasted about five hours and covered 35km. I'm not a regular biker, and I did it after trekking Kilimanjaro in 32°C heat. The path was mostly flat, with a total elevation difference of 130 meters. I highly recommend it!

It’s a great idea to take this tour — it allows you to visit the villages around Moshi, get some exercise by biking, and the staff is very friendly. We finished with an excellent traditional Tanzanian meal.

Had an amazing experience exploring the surroundings of Moshi with Alfa. We visited villages, sugar cane crops, rice farms, and the forest. Everything was great, including the very good bike and great food. Highly recommended activity for anyone who wants to see more than a safari and a hike on the Kili. Thanks again Alfa 🙏🏻

I did the bike tour before hiking Kilimanjaro, hoping to get a bit of a sense of local life. I had a wonderful guide who was knowledgeable, keen and spoke very good English. We cycled through the sugar cane plantation (with a quick stop to sample some sugar cane and look at the view from a lookout tower), a couple of villages (including rice fields), by some baobab trees (tasting their fruit), the forest reserve (seeing colobus monkeys and baboons), back along a railway, through a busy market, finishing off with lunch at a local restaurant. The guide was excellent at providing context for what I saw. The bike tour was a worthwhile experience.

I enjoyed this biking tour around Moshi and the surrounding farmlands, and the traditional lunch at a local restaurant at the end was a good final touch. My only complaint is that no pick-up time was organised for me, so a driver turned up unexpectedly at my hotel, despite me sending a message the day before to explain that no one had arranged a time and please contact me.
