Vang de hoogtepunten van de vierde stad van China, Tianjin, tijdens deze privérondleiding van 9 uur vanuit Peking met een bullet-trein. Je bezoekt Porcelain House, het eigenzinnige museum van porselein dat feitelijk is bedekt met het spul, de koloniale architectuurzone Five Great Avenues, het reuzenrad Tianjin Eye, Ancient Culture Street en lunch in de keuken van Tianjin.

U kunt op elk moment van 08:00 tot 09:30 uur vertrekken - uw privégids haalt u op bij uw hotel voor de korte rit naar het treinstation Beijing South. Reist u met een kogelentrein, het duurt ongeveer een half uur om Tianjin te bereiken - ook al is het 85 mijl (137 kilometer) van Beijing.
Bij aankomst wordt u overgebracht naar een geschikt voertuig: een bus, minibusje of auto met een privéchauffeur of, voor groepen van drie of minder, een taxi. Je eerste stop is Porcelain House, een Franse koloniale villa uit 1920 in de stijl van duizenden stukken oud porselein. Naast het verbazingwekkende exterieur, is het 5.000 vierkante yard (4.200 vierkante meter) interieur de thuisbasis van een museum van porselein en antiek, inclusief spectaculaire marmeren gravures, kristallen en halfedelstenen uit de verzameling van de eigenaar, Zhang Lianzhi .
Ontdek vervolgens meer van het internationale verleden van Tianjin met een bezoek aan Five Great Avenues (Wudadao), een gebied met meer dan 2000 villa's in tuinstijl gebouwd door bezettende mogendheden in de jaren 1920 en 1930. Misschien wilt u een rit met een paardenkoets door het gebied maken (op eigen kosten) om de architectonische pracht op zijn best te vangen. Je gids zal je kennis laten maken met de keuken van Tianjin tijdens de lunch in een lokaal restaurant: zoals het de vierde grootste stad van China betaamt, is het eten van Tianjin beroemd in heel China.
Na de lunch bezoekt u een mijlpaal van de moderne Tianjin: het Tianjin-oog. Dit reuzenrad van 120 meter lang is gebouwd over de Yongle-brug: het is officieel het eerste en enige observatiewiel dat boven een brug wordt gebouwd. Elk van de 64 passagierscapsules kan 8 passagiers vervoeren, wat een maximale capaciteit van 768 passagiers per uur oplevert, en duurt 30 minuten om een rotatie te voltooien. Geniet van een spectaculair uitzicht dat zich uitstrekt over wel 40 kilometer in de verte vanaf het hoogste punt.
Je laatste stop is Tianjin's Ancient Culture Street, de nummer één winkelbestemming van de stad voor traditionele Chinese goederen. Naast de Tianhou-tempel en het schoenenmuseum zijn er bijna 100 winkels, waar waren verkocht worden van borduurwerk en kalligrafie tot theeserviezen, zeehonden en beeldjes, evenals Tianjin-specialiteiten. Vanaf hier keer je terug naar het treinstation van Tianjin en stap je met je bullet-trein terug naar Beijing. Uw gids brengt u terug naar uw hotel en arriveert tussen 16.00 en 17.30 uur.

⸻ We are extremely pleased we did this day trip. The guide was able to showcase the city to us, and the thoughtful planning made the experience both enjoyable and memorable. The itinerary involved quite a bit of walking, which requires a good level of fitness. It was assumed we were up for it, and thankfully we were able to complete the journey and spend hours exploring. The guide’s extensive knowledge was impressive — that we were shared fascinating historical insights and architectural details that we greatly appreciated. We also enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant. The recommended dishes were absolutely delicious. By the time we left at 7pm, the light show on the buildings along the river also started. The fast speed train is also another enjoyable experience.

The trip from Beijing to Tianjin was amazing..Everything was perfectly organised by our guide Maggie..she took great care of us and made sure that we see everything included in the tour..since my husband is a vegetarian she made sure that he eats comfortably..the European and the Chinese streets were great and the Tianjin eye was also very good..all in all thanks to our tour guide Maggie who communicated well in English and made the trip a success 👍🏻
