Het belfort dateert uit de 13e eeuw. Dit opmerkelijke gebouw is 83 meter hoog. Het belfort is beschermd als werelderfgoed. Wie de 366 trappen beklimt, wordt beloond met een adembenemend uitzicht over Brugge en omgeving. Elke 15 minuten is het mogelijk om naar het geluid van de beiaard met de 47 klokken te luisteren.
De benedenkapel is een mooi voorbeeld van romaanse architectuur. De kapel heeft gewelfde gewelven. Binnen is er een bas-reliëf dat de doop van Christus toont. Het relikwie van het Heilig Bloed bevindt zich in de bovenste kapel. De bovenkapel werd in de negentiende eeuw opnieuw ingericht in neogotische stijl en is indrukwekkend.
Het paleis van de heren van Gruuthuse heeft drie prachtige torentjes. Deze weerspiegelen de rijkdom van het gezin. De familie Gruuthuse verdiende een fortuin met de verkoop van "gruut", een kruidenmengsel waarmee ze bier maakten. In de 15e eeuw werd "gruut" vervangen door hop. De familie kon nog steeds belasting heffen op elk vat bier dat in de stad werd verkocht! Dit is duidelijk als we de schoonheid van het stadspaleis bewonderen!
Wat u hier ziet, is "onwaarschijnlijk". Iedereen is verbaasd als ze het voor het eerst zien! Een "ondergrondse pijpleiding" brengt het bier van de brouwerij naar de bottelarij buiten de stad. Wat een goed idee! Ja, het hielp om zware vrachtwagens uit het stadscentrum te weren.
Een oase van stilte omgeven door witte huizen. Dit opmerkelijke stukje werelderfgoed huisvestte begijnen, geëmancipeerde lekenvrouwen die een vroom en celibatair leven leidden. Tegenwoordig wordt het begijnhof bewoond door 5 nonnen van de Orde van Sint-Benedictus en alleenstaande vrouwen.
De Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk domineert de skyline van de stad. Het is letterlijk het ‘hoogtepunt’ van de Brugse steenhouwerskunst. Onder de vele kunstschatten bevindt zich een prachtige Madonna met Kind uit Carraramarmeren. Het beeld is gemaakt door Michelangelo. Het kaartje is ook inbegrepen. Mis dit meesterwerk niet!

The guide was very informative and was able to walk slowly with us which was great since I walk very slowly. My only criticism was that it was supposed to be a tasting of artisanal chocolates that was not included in the tour. So if you’re expecting that, maybe that won’t happen
The private tour with Anne was a lot of fun. Anne is a very friendly tour guide with a lot of knowledge about the city, its history and chocolate and pralines. She took a lot of time for us, a great introduction to getting to know Bruges! Clearly recommended!

The walking tours did not stop to give you the information about the site or allow time for pictures and to take in the area. We just moved on to the next and the time on your own was confusing because the walk was not clear on the sites to see
Ann is a thoughtful guide, who showed us Brugges in an original and unusual way on foot for more than 2 hours. Small breaks to enjoy chocolates, drink a local beer and eat a waffle allowed us to enjoy and soak up life in Brugges. Ann shares anecdotes and stories of Brugges with great love. Very attentive and intentional. Recommended.

Ann is a fantastic guide / we went by bike We visited the Triennial by bike , went for lunch , then another trip along the artworks, but in the meantime we also visited surprising and historic places and gave us professional explanations ! .....recommended...
Ann seemed a little shy at first. But once she saw there was interest, she got on her feet. She has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of facts, of artists and fait-divers. She has contacts with chocolatiers (Dumon, explanation of Persoone) artists (from TraumA de triennale Brugge, David De Graef - air-brush - in one of the most beautiful places in Bruges). She guided us through Bruges with an eye for the top attractions but especially to get the lesser-known attractions from under the dust. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you Els and Rik
