Het Koninklijk Paleis van Turijn verdient een bezoek, al was het maar om je op dezelfde plek te bevinden waar het lot van Italië werd beslist! In het huis van Savoye, de eerste koningen van Italië, wordt u geleid door een deskundige en gepassioneerde gids door de koninklijke appartementen, prachtig ingericht en gemeubileerd. Bewonder de prachtige Royal Armoury, een grote verzameling wapenrustingen, tentoongesteld in de Galleria Beaumont en de koninklijke appartementen. In 2 uur in het gezelschap van je gids leer je te veel over de koninklijke familie, de Italiaanse uificatiegeschiedenis en de Heilige Lijkwade!

Je gids ontmoet je bij de ingang van het Koninklijk Paleis en leidt je tot 1946 door de geschiedenis en architectuur van het huis van de Savoye, koningen van Italië.
Je ziet het prachtige Rotyal Armory, dat een grote collectie wapens en renaissance en oosterse wapenrustingen bevat, tentoongesteld in de Galleria Beaumont
Een interessant detail van het Koninklijk Paleis is dat het verbonden is met Cappella della Sindone. De innovatieve architect Guarino Guarini heeft het ontworpen om met één verdieping te worden verhoogd, passend bij de hoogte van de pastorie van de Duomo, die rechtstreekse toegang biedt vanaf de Royal Apartments. Dit is de laatste stop van je tour.

To say we were on time, would to say that we were 10 minutes, late, but not our guide, Francesca. She was standing there awaiting our arrival and after introductions and a couple of quick interest questions, we were off. Francesca did a great job communicating, keeping us on pace and coordinating with other tours to get us in and out without delay. Her passion we truly felt and more so when she got to see the latest addition to the collection in the royal palace. Her excitement was contagious and it stayed with us throughout the tour. We cannot recommend this tour with Francesca enough.
Carlotta was a great guide, a real historian, fun, energetic and very local. The tour last 2 hours and is comprehensive without being laborious

Eugenio, our guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate. He helped bring to life the history of the Savoy royalty, the architecture, and the context of the paintings and relics. The Holy Shroud is not exposed. You will see the beautiful chapel and the box where the shroud is kept.
