Privé Tito's Village-tour in Old-Timer Yugo-auto

Tijdens deze tour nemen we je mee voor een rit in een Yugo door het prachtige heuvellandschap van het noordwestelijke platteland van Kroatië. Na een uur rijden komen we aan in Kumrovec, het dorp waar Josip Broz Tito, president van Joegoslavië, is geboren en getogen. Kumrovec is nu een museum waar we, behalve Tito's huis, andere boerenhuizen zullen bezoeken waarin verschillende ambachten en tradities worden getoond. Na een rondleiding door het oude dorp rijden we naar een door een familie gerund restaurant voor een hapje en een spectaculair uitzicht op een sprookjeskasteel Veliki Tabor.

We passeren het pittoreske stadje Klanjec dat we vanaf de bovenste weg zullen zien.
We zullen, met een erkende lokale gids, het openluchtmuseum "Old Village" Kumrovec verkennen, waar de Joegoslavische president Tito werd geboren.
We stoppen bij het spectaculaire uitkijkpunt om het kasteel Veliki Tabor te zien en er foto's van te maken.
Stop voor een traditionele snack in een familierestaurant.

Je wordt opgehaald bij het gastenverblijf, als het binnen de stadsgrenzen is (5 km van het centrale plein). Als het gastenverblijf verder weg is, is het ophaalpunt voor de concertzaal van Lisinski.

Teo, our guide also told us he was the owner as well. He has 2 other vintage Yugo’s and one other driver. This is a one-of-a-kind tour as no one else offers this kind of experience. You can tell he really takes pride in his vehicles and the tour. The one on one aspect was also another perk of the tour. And the lunch stop and the tour of Kumrovec were great as well
Another awesome tour done with Teo! Highly recommended and with a nice surprise of going during a celebration. Teo was knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Had lots of fun on this trip!

This is a great tour for anyone interested in the history of Yugoslavia/Tito. Our guide Teo provided us with so much information and was very friendly. Getting to ride in a Yugo was a great experience!
I went on this tour back in Jan 2021 during the pandemic and it was excellent! Antonija was amazing guide, Tito's house and village were historic and fun even though it was a cold snowy day! 5*****
We went on this trip in October 2020 and had a great time with Antonija, the best tour guide ever that knows everything about Tito, Kumrovec and a lot of interesting stories from surrounding villages. We had lunch at Gresna gorica and tried some of the local specialties which Antonija recommended and it was great! Riding in yugo is always a unique experience that I think everyone should try at least once.
I was really amazed during whole trip eventho I live just ~50km away. Wonderfull landscapes filled with different places and followed by joyful and experienced guide Antonia! Or i was just dosed from petrol in the car. Kidding:)

What an amazing tour just an hour drive from Zagreb! A original old timer car, a lot of history, the story of Tito, Yugoslavia, spectacular castles, wine growing hills and scenery, snack in a charming restaurant and an amazing enthusiastic local guide, Antonia! This was the highlight of my trip in Croatia!

We had a great time with Antonija. The experience of riding in one as well as trying to ride it for a little while was surreal. Yugo is experiential in itself and in combination with wonderful destination it really is a wonderful day. Antonija was knowledgeable, not only about the traditions, geography as well as history of the destination, she was also very knowledgeable about the as well as history of the car and Yugo Enterprise itself. The program is highly recommended.
