Nationaal Park Plitvicemeren is een van de meest bezochte parken in Kroatië en is uitgeroepen tot het mooiste nationale park van Europa. Het park bestaat uit 16 meren die met elkaar verbonden zijn door beekjes en watervallen. Maak een wandeling langs de paden en promenades en omring jezelf met adembenemende natuur hoek. Ontdek verder, op weg naar de meren, het dorp Rastoke en zijn watermolens uit de 17e eeuw. Met deze eendaagse ontdekking van deze twee schoonheden die de moeite waard zijn om te bezoeken, zul je elk moment ten volle beleven!

Dit sprookjesachtige kleine watermolendorp geeft je het eerste inzicht in het historische Kroatië, maar ook een voorproefje van wat er in Plitvice te wachten staat. We zullen hier genoeg tijd doorbrengen om rond te kijken in het dorp en wat foto's te maken voordat we teruggaan naar het busje richting het nationale park.

Het park staat sinds 1979 op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO en bestaat uit 16 meren die verbonden zijn door beekjes en watervallen. - Neem indien mogelijk sportkleding en comfortabele gesloten/wandelschoenen mee... veel wandelen!
- Je gids staat de hele reis voor je klaar en begeleidt je door het park.
- ca. 8,5 km lopen is de lengte van de wandeltocht in het park (hoogseizoen). Je ziet alle hoogtepunten en maak je geen zorgen, er zijn geen grote hellingen, dus het is een aangename wandeling.
- Een deel van het park kan beperkt zijn en is afhankelijk van het weer.
- Deze tour werkt nog steeds onder alle weersomstandigheden.
- Houd er rekening mee dat van 1 november tot en met 31 maart alleen de lagere meren kunnen worden bezocht en dat afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden de trein en de elektrische boten niet rijden.

The PLITVICE lakes National park is a must visit while in Zagreb. The turquoise hues of the water and the flora and fauna in the park offers a unique experience for nature lovers. The tour was well paced - though any amount of time would not to enough to enjoy all that the park had to offer- and our guide Martina was very professional and mindful of our limitations and needs during the rather long walk.

Marko was a knowledgeable and funny guide. He set very clear expectations so we always knew to expect. He was also very patient with our large group. We visited Plitvice Lakes first. It was a lot of walking with a few steeper climbs on trails or boardwalks, but worth every step. Marko timed our arrival at one of the lakes and we got to see the water in a beautiful torquoise colour. We then visited the small town of Rastoke, which gave us a nice break from a long day. Definitely try the ice cream shop with their various topings. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you're going with Marko.

Great experience. Croatia has done a nice job of making this National Park very assessable. Lots of walking through beautiful waterfalls. Our guide Dado was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing this wonderful part of Croatia.

It was a very pleasant trip; we chose the option in a small group of up to 8 people, and that was absolutely the right decision. At a comfortable pace, allowing enough time for photos and to enjoy the surroundings, we took a longer route through the park. The tour guide drove well, shared many interesting and practical insights, and took great care of the group the entire time.

Fantastic experience. I was concerned about spending 10 hours on a tour, but the day went so fast and the waterfalls were well worth the distance. The bus was comfortable and the AC was good. Sara and Marko were great guides and kept us on track

We went on a beautiful sunny day and our tour guide (don’t remember his name but stared with a “D”) started us at the second entrance and that paid off with little waiting time compared to starting at at the other starting point. Our group had 7 and our guide was fun and interesting and answered all our questions and our group (from around the world) asked a lot of random questions. Highly recommend the small group tour! Long day but worth it!
