Normandië is zeer rijk aan geschiedenis, dus je kunt jezelf in 1944 in de schoenen van een GI op het strand van Omaha bevinden. Aarzel niet.

De eerste Amerikanen die voet aan wal zetten in Normandië werden geparachuteerd in Sainte Mère Eglise. Je ontdekt alle geheimen met je deskundige DDAY-gids. Deze nacht van 5 op 6 juni 1944 was lang en verdrietig. (niet inbegrepen) Je kunt het beroemde Airborne Museum bezoeken.
Het eerste strand van Normandië dat door de Amerikanen werd betreden op de dag van de landing in Normandië. De mannen van de 4th Infantry Division zullen het eerste vijandelijke vuur tegenkomen, maar beginnen heldhaftig aan de bevrijding van Europa. (Niet inbegrepen Mogelijk bezoek aan het Utah Beach Museum)
Een van de meest riskante manoeuvres, maar ook de meest statistische, werd gegeven aan het 2nd Battalion of Rangers onder bevel van Col Rudder. De kliffen waren niet de beste plek voor een troepenlanding, maar deze was onvermijdelijk en je zult het ontdekken dankzij je gids.
Dit 8 km lange strand staat over de hele wereld bekend als het toneel van tragische veldslagen. De sterren waren op 6 juni 1944 niet uitgelijnd om de geallieerde troepen veilig te laten landen. Je gids zal je de reden voor dit "Bloody Omaha" -strand onthullen.
Het is met een ander oog dat u deze begraafplaats ontdekt. Alle informatie die je tijdens deze dag hebt verzameld, zorgt ervoor dat je door de gangpaden van een begraafplaats loopt met een immens gevoel van ontluikend of groeiend respect.

Kate was a wonderful guide- so knowledgeable about WWII history in the area! She knew facts and dates and places, but seasoned it with personal, true stories of people who lived in Normandy at that time. At one point she had us in tears. We enjoyed our day immensely and would highly recommend a guided day with Kate.

We had an excellent experience with Arthur, a truly top notch guide. We were picked us up at our hotel outside of town in a new very comfortable car. Arthur was very knowledgeable and engaging. He had wealth of interesting details about the battle of Normandy and Allied invasion. And we enjoyed interacting with him. He took us to great spots that weren’t crowded but had incredible views of the beaches. Definitely recommend GoldBeachCompany and Arthur!

We did a 2 day private tour with Gold Beach company. The tour included Utah and Omaha beaches on day 1, as well as the american cemetary, Sainte-Mere-Eglise and Pointe-du-Hoc. The second day included Gold and Juno beaches, Batterie de Longes-sur-Mer, and lunch in Arromanches-les-Bains. The second day also included a Calvados tasting which we requested. Each day included a trip to one of the many museums in the area, and we were able to choose the museums which interested us most. Our guide was Adrien, and he was great!! He was very knowledgeable about the whole area, and was easily able to customize the trip to our preferences. Also, Gold Beach company was very responsive to my questions before the trip. They were very easy to work with. I highly recommend Gold Beach Company, and Adrien.

Great visit to all of the ww2 sites in Normandy. Kate was tremendous. She is knowledgeable and passionate. This was my 3rd time touring with her and she was as enthusiastic as the first time I toured with her
