the excursion was cancelled, rescheduled for another day after too many messages (with unclear, strange and late replies) and then cancelled again. In the end, the person in charge of the boat tour told us that we had to cancel the excursion with Viator if we wanted our money back. We replied that he should be the one contacting Viator, because he was the one who wanted to cancel the excursion.
Hello, First of all, we would like to sincerely apologize once again for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, we were unable to operate the tour due to circumstances beyond our control. The Douro River was closed by the authorities because of the Air Invictus air show, making navigation impossible. We did our best to reschedule your tour for the following Tuesday, but unfortunately it was not possible. Your full refund has already been processed through Viator. Although it may take a few days to appear in your account, the refund has already been issued. We also shared the refund confirmation with you, including a screenshot for your reference. We truly regret that we could not provide you with the experience you were expecting and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on board in the future under better circumstances.
We had the best time with Afonso and Carlota on our boat trip. Everything was spot on from start to finish. They were both super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the trip. The views were beautiful, and the boat had everything we could have asked for to make the experience comfortable and fun at the same time. Highly recommend! :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Outstanding Douro River Experience This was one of the highlights of our time in Porto. The host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere from start to finish. The wines were excellent, the snacks were fresh and thoughtfully selected, and the commentary provided just the right amount of history and local insight without ever feeling overwhelming. Seeing Porto and the surrounding bridges from the water offered a completely different perspective of the city and made for some unforgettable views. The boat was comfortable, the pace was perfect, and the entire experience felt personal rather than touristy. If you’re visiting Porto and want a memorable way to experience the Douro River, I highly recommend this cruise. We would absolutely do it again. 🍷⛵🌉🇵🇹
