Alberto planned an amazing boat tour for our family. Everything was taken care of and we just arrived and made memories of a lifetime in Porto. He also gave us a tour of the city and amazing recommendations to check out during our day.

This boat tour was the highlight of our visit to Porto. Alberto was the perfect guide and his boat is beautiful. It easily accommodated the 6 of us and could probably comfortably handle 8 or 10. He had great recommendations for food and activities and gave us the highlights while also letting us just enjoy the views and each other’s company. His assistant served us drinks and we covered all 6 bridges and out to the Atlantic. Highly recommended!

Our evening began with us stuck on a bridge and missing our original boat tour with another operator. As we stood at the marina looking pretty defeated, Alberto noticed us and kindly offered us spots on his boat, which was leaving within minutes. Now, my mom always taught me not to talk to strangers….. but when the stranger has a boat and you’re stranded at the marina, sometimes you take the chance. And wow, was it the best decision of our trip. Alberto was incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and an absolute pleasure to spend the evening with. We were treated to delicious local wines and snacks, and when the evening cooled down, blankets were thoughtfully provided to keep us comfortable. The green wine was especially memorable, an absolute treat! What could have been one of the worst days of our trip quickly became one of the most unforgettable, all thanks to Alberto. He truly turned the entire day around. I’d even go so far as to say that a trip to Porto would feel incomplete without a sailing experience with Alberto and OPO Boat Tours. Thank you again for the memories we’ll cherish forever!

Best part of our trip to Portugal! Alberto (the captain) and Camillo (the chef) hosted a luxurious excursion down the Duoro River. The boat was new and pristine and the tour was beautiful and informative. Truly nothing could compare with how we were pampered

We had a wonderful river cruise with Alberto and his crew. Delicious cocktails. Fabulous views of Porto and Gaia and the bridges. His warmth, hospitality, and history made the excursion so special. The cruise is so relaxing. Bare feet lounging on comfy cushions on the bow of the boat, taking in the amazing vistas. What could be better? Can’t wait to try the sunset version when we return.

I cannot recommend these guys enough. This is our fourth tour with Alberto, and every time we have guests in town, we always book a tour with him, and every single time it is everyone’s favorite day of the trip. Alberto and Mr. Camilo know even before we do what we’ll need to be comfortable, and enjoy our trip. They offer blankets just as it gets cooler out by the ocean. If you book the food and wine option, there’s always a new course or drink just at the right time. Alberto owns the company and does all the tours himself. He’s such a wonderful person to spend time with, and having grown up in Porto, knows so much about the area, the history, the architecture of the area, and is a genuine and incredibly kind person. He has two boats, one a little bigger than the other. Both are very comfortable, and always in great condition. Additionally, as an LGBT+ family, we have always felt nothing but respected and cared for with Alberto and his team. We don’t even think about it with them. We always look forward to the blissfully relaxing and gorgeous days on the water with OPO Boat Tours. You won’t regret it!

Review: Fantastic private boat experience along the Douro River. The views of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia were spectacular, especially passing under the iconic bridges and seeing the Dom Luís I Bridge from the water. The cru, boat was comfortable, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying the scenery. It’s a wonderful way to experience the city from a completely different perspective. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Porto, especially for a romantic outing or special occasion. Truly memorable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
