De eendaagse tour naar de Poas-vulkaan is zeer compleet omdat deze inclusief vervoer, entreegelden en een heerlijk ontbijt en lunch is voordat je terugkeert naar je hotel. Het vertrekt meestal vanuit de stad San Jose en op weg naar de vulkaan zul je veel natuur en prachtige landschappen kunnen observeren, tijdens de tour naar de plantages leer je hoe Costa Ricaanse koffiebonen worden verbouwd, waar je kunt proef ook het eindproduct met een rijke smaak. El Poás is de vulkaan met een van de grootste kraters in heel Midden-Amerika, waardoor het een van de belangrijkste toeristische bestemmingen in Costa Rica is. Op deze plek kun je contact maken met de natuur en genieten van het heerlijke koude weer. Na het bezoek aan de vulkaan ga je verder naar de La Paz Waterfall Gardens, een natuurreservaat Genoemd naar de vijf watervallen en de prachtige vegetatie die in de plaats bloeit.

Als we de berg beklimmen, zul je een verandering in temperatuur en vegetatie opmerken; je krijgt onderweg de gelegenheid om koffieplantages te zien, evenals varen-, bloemen- en aardbeienboerderijen, waardoor een prachtig scala aan kleuren en beelden ontstaat. Vervolgens bezoekt u een restaurant in de omgeving voor een heerlijk ontbijt.
Na de koffietour gaan we verder naar Poas Volcano National Park, waar een merkbare verandering in temperatuur en uitbundige vegetatie van het nevelwoud te zien is. De Poás-vulkaan is een actieve stratovulkaan van 2708 meter lang. De krater van de vulkaan is meer dan een mijl breed en 1050 voet diep. Het is sinds 1828 40 keer uitgebarsten, inclusief april 2017. Bij de vulkaan heb je tijd om te genieten van de indrukwekkende hoofdkrater met zijn zwavelfumarolen, en een wandeling te maken op een pad naar de prachtige Botos-lagune terwijl we meer te weten komen over de verschillende ecosystemen in het park.
Na Poás gaan we verder naar La Paz Waterfall Garden, waar u kunt genieten van een lunchbuffet (beoordeeld met 4 Forks door de Costa Rican Tourism Council) met meerdere selecties van traditionele Costa Ricaanse gerechten en nog veel meer. Bij La Paz Waterfall Gardens gaan we door wandelpaden omgeven door weelderig tropisch regenwoud. Hier zullen we stromende witte rivieren, spectaculaire watervallen, vogels, vlinders, apen en kolibries waarderen. Er zijn ook educatieve dierententoonstellingen om van te genieten, zoals de volière, het vlinderobservatorium, de kolibrietuin, Serpentarium, Jungle Cats-tentoonstelling en de kikkertentoonstelling. Dit is absoluut een tour waar natuurliefhebbers van alle leeftijden van genieten.

Jose Diaz was an incredibly kind, and informative tour guide able to clearly communicate in both English and Spanish. It was an absolute pleasure experiencing the Poas volcano and the coffee plantation. He also kindly let us stop for a bit at the Starbucks location, Alsacia. The booking process was very easy as well. The Poas volcano was originally closed when we planned our trip, so when we found out it had re-opened we called around 7pm, and they were able to have the entire tour arranged within the hour for a tour the next day at 8am. We would definitely recommend this agency and would travel with them again. Pura vida!
This tour gave us a little taste of Costa Rica and was well done. Rodger was our guide and was knowledgeable and friendly and made it a really fun day. He was on time and we always knew what we were doing next.

The guides were superb. It was all good. The volcano, coffee fields, and waterfalls. Surprisingly the waterfall aspect was quite physically intensive. I am 78 years old and it was a challenge for me. And I’m an ex airborne Ranger
We had a fantastic first day visiting the 3 places... 1. DOKA - Coffee plantation along with our breakfast. 2. Poas Volcano - although it was cloudy so we didn't get the best view (that's down to weather conditions) 3. La Pas Waterfalls & Gardens - we saw some many beautiful birds and animals, you need a few hours here then finished up by see the various waterfalls. We also had lunch here. We had an early start of 7.30am and didnt get home until 6.45pm but it was certainly worth it with our excellent guide.
This is a second tine we hired Sky Solutions and as predicted it was incredible! Roger was so knowledgeable and very helpful. He picked us up in Belen and dropped us off at Playa Hermosa. We stopped a few times to show us some fun spots. He answered all our questions and told us a lot of interesting facts about Costa Rica. At the end of our stay in Costa Rica he picked us up and took us to a coffee plantation, Volcano and stopped along the way to show us more interesting places. You could tell how passionate he is about his country and proudly talked about all the cool stuff! My friends are already planning to come back and definitely use Sky again! What a great experience!
