Ontsnap aan de stadslichten en ervaar de Pinnacles op hun magischst tijdens dit zonsondergang-tot-sterren avontuur langs de koraalkust van West-Australië. Ontworpen om de drukte te vermijden, combineert deze tour episch kustlandschap, oude landschappen en onvergetelijk sterrenkijken. Reis vanuit Perth naar het noorden naar schilderachtige kustuitkijkpunten zoals Guilderton Beach Lookout, waar witte zandduinen samenkomen met de turquoise Indische Oceaan. Afhankelijk van de omstandigheden kunt u het inheemse bosgebied van Nilgen Nature Reserve verkennen of genieten van een ontspannen wandeling bij Hangover Bay, met kansen om zeeleven voor de kust te spotten. Op slechts 1,5 uur van Perth ligt onze eerste stop in de badplaats Lancelin, waar u de benen strekt en geniet van een spectaculair uitzicht over het grootste netwerk van torenhoge, sneeuwwitte zandduinen van West-Australië, dat prachtig contrasteert met de turquoise Indische Oceaan. Vanwege de tijdelijke sluiting van de stranden van Lancelin en de uitkijkpost vanwege aardverschuivingen en erosie, is onze alternatieve stop Guilderton voor een schilderachtig uitzicht op het strand.
Ongeveer 1,5 uur na vertrek uit Perth maken we onze eerste stop in het kustplaatsje Lancelin voor een snelle beenstrekking en een mooie uitkijk. De torenhoge, sneeuwwitte duinen van Lancelin staan bekend om het grootste netwerk van zandduinen in West-Australië en vormen een verbluffend contrast met het sprankelende turquoise water van de Indische Oceaan daarbuiten.
Het Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre, gelegen aan de ingang van het Nambung National Park, biedt fascinerende inzichten in de geologie, de wilde dieren en het Aboriginal erfgoed van de Pinnacles. Met interactieve displays en een prachtig uitzicht is het de perfecte uitvalsbasis voor het verkennen van dit unieke woestijnlandschap.
De Pinnacles zijn opvallende kalksteenformaties die oprijzen uit het gouden zand van Nambung National Park. Deze natuurlijke pilaren, gevormd over duizenden jaren, creëren een surrealistisch woestijnlandschap, met vormen variërend van gekartelde spitsen tot afgeronde zuilen. Hun griezelige schoonheid maakt de Pinnacles een van de meest iconische en gefotografeerde natuurwonderen van West-Australië.
Hangover Bay, in de buurt van de Pinnacles in Nambung National Park, is een rustige kustplaats waar de Indische Oceaan gloeit onder levendige zonsondergangluchten. Het is de perfecte plek om te ontspannen, met zachte golven, zacht zand en een sereen einde van een dag van verkenning tijdens een heerlijk picknickdiner.
Nambung National Park, de thuisbasis van de beroemde Pinnacles Desert, toont een prachtig landschap van oude kalkstenen torenspitsen die oprijzen uit gouden zand. Het park ligt langs de koraalkust van West-Australië en biedt ook uitzicht op de kust, inheemse dieren en levendige wilde bloemen in het voorjaar.

Onze terugkeertijd naar Perth varieert afhankelijk van de tijd van het jaar, tussen 21:00 en 23:00 uur om ervoor te zorgen dat we de beste zonsondergangen en sterren zien.

Quite a long ride but the final destination was definitely authentic and worth the time. Besides the main attraction, there was also plenty of other activities such as a pre-organized buffet at the Pinnacles parking lot and stargazing. Our tour guide, Anneliese, was very nice, informative, and equally as enthusiastic as every other tourist, so the overall trip felt even more enjoyable because of that. What to consider: the ride to the desert might take a long time, so it's best to bring along 1-2 700ml bottles of water (despite refilling stations at included pit stops) and to consider the weather, so as not to be under/over-prepared in terms of clothing.

Amazing experience band our guide Alisa was awesome. The bus ride was scenic and smooth, really enjoyed the informative tapis by our guide which really brought the spots to life. Although we couldn't quite see the the stars since it was a cloudy might but we did manage to see a few kangaroos which Kore than made up for it.

A great tour and experience, the tour guide Alessia was friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. The stop at Guilderton was perfect and the stop at Nilgen lookout was interesting. The Pinnacles desert at night is unique experience. The food and wine was great.

This tour was absolutely amazing & we would like to thank Annaliese (sorry, not sure of spelling) for sharing her wealth of knowledge on the Perth & surrounding areas. Our day was totally made when two kangaroos hopped on by, as we were walking out of the Pinnacles Desert. The picnic dinner that Annaliese prepared was very generous & much appreciated. My guide, Eren (who wore a unique hat with badges and had her hair in braids), was professional, cheerful, and had a great voice. I was so satisfied with her guiding style and itinerary. I could be fully immersed in my own journey even though there were many people. The pickup bus was convenient, and the dinner was also great!! I highly recommend this tour with her :)

Nice new vehicle and polite guide. We stopped at a small coastal town for a rest break and were advised to buy water from the general store as it was not provided. The second stop at a burnt out wildflower meadow seemed a pit pointless as the only thing to see was charred plants and there were no toilets at this stop. When we reached the pinnacles the guide pointed towards the discovery centre and the path towards the limestone formations. She did not accompany us and instead began setting up our picnic next to the car park. I noticed other tours had driven into the reserve as I was walking around: Dinner was simple supermarket salads and deli meats. There wasn’t enough room for everyone to sit a table and some of us ended up perched on a cold concrete fence to eat dinner: The star gazing was good and the guide was able to point out the planets and constellations. It was not as dark as it could have been as we were next to the carpark with people constantly coming and going.

A wonderful experience. This was a mother's day gift from my children. The bus was neat and clean and not overcrowded. Erin was our driver and tour guide. She was knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. The stop off at Guilderton was beautiful. The Pinnacles experience was enjoyable and after Erin's informative talk there was plenty of time to enjoy the 'museum' and wander the Pinnacles at your own pace. This was followed by a delicious dinner under the stars and despite the clouds, stargazing too. I highly recommend this tour.
