Onze tour is de enige windpark tour op een privé windpark. Wij zijn het eerste commerciële windpark in de San Gorgonia Pass. We bieden een historisch en toekomstperspectief vanaf de vroege jaren 1980 tijdens de Wind Rush tot vandaag. Wij dekken duurzame energie inclusief wind-, zonne- en batterijopslag.

Ga mee met een begeleide golfkartocht op een privéwindpark. Leer meer over de geschiedenis van windturbines en hoe ze werken. Begin uw tour met een video in het tourcentrum. Vervolgens neemt een gids de gasten mee op een elektrische golfkar rond ons eigen windpark. We maken een reis terug in de tijd naar het heden. Leer over de successen en mislukkingen van uitvinders en ingenieurs aan het begin van de "windrush" in de jaren 80 tot de moderne strakke ontwerpen die we vandaag zien. Hoor hoe de boerderij is gestart door één investeerder en hoe het is uitgegroeid tot een energiecorridor. Kom van dichtbij bij een werkende moderne turbine zo hoog als het Vrijheidsbeeld. Zie echt werkende windturbines van meer dan 400 voet hoog. Leer meer over de werking van windturbines en hoe ze bijdragen aan het elektriciteitsnet. Van beginners tot ingenieurs, iedereen zal de tour verlaten met een beter begrip van hoe deze hernieuwbare energie snel onderdeel wordt van onze energieoplossing. Deze tour is leuk voor het hele gezin.

We have always seen the giant windmills off of I-10 near Palm Springs. Have always been curious about them. Today we got to see them up and in person. The tour starts with a 15-20 minute video about the windmill farm and the inner workings of the windmills. Bill was our tour guide and took us on a golf cart tour of the property. Was very informative and everything we could have hoped for in a tour. We also got to talk to a scientist (doctor) on property. Total length of tour was about 1.5-2 hours.

Tom’s passion got us excited about the history and functionality of this Palm Springs landmark. The windmills had always been a mystery to me since I was a small child, passing them on frequent trips to the desert with my grandparents. Finally learning how the wind turbines work - and how important they are to our everyday lives in ways many people take for granted - was fascinating. It’s an experience I won’t forget and one I’d recommend to everyone visiting the area.
