Verken Omaha Beach en krijg inzicht in de rol van Amerikaanse soldaten in de Tweede Wereldoorlog tijdens deze middag D-Day landingstour vanuit Bayeux. Bezoek belangrijke bezienswaardigheden uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog, waaronder Omaha Beach en de Pointe-Du-Hoc met een Gids, en leer over de omstandigheden waarmee de Amerikaanse soldaten in de strijd werden geconfronteerd. Wandel tussen de soldatengraven op de Amerikaanse begraafplaats en hoor verhalen en anekdotes uit de slagvelden van de Tweede Wereldoorlog.

Je gids geeft je gedetailleerde informatie over de missie van de Amerikaanse Rangers en legt de fascinerende overblijfselen uit van de vele Duitse bunkers die we samen zullen zien. Je krijgt dan ongeveer 25 minuten vrije tijd om het zelf te verkennen.
De gids zal je leiden naar de ongelooflijke Amerikaanse begraafplaats en veel belangrijke feiten uitleggen over wanneer het gebouwd is, waarom het zich daar bevindt en veel verhalen over de mannen en vrouwen die hier begraven liggen. Je krijgt ongeveer 30 minuten vrije tijd om het zelf te verkennen.
Je krijgt een goed overzicht van de strandlandingen die plaatsvonden op Omaha Beach op 6 juni 1944. Daarna heb je ongeveer 15 minuten vrije tijd om door het zand te lopen (afhankelijk van getijdencondities) waar Amerikaanse troepen landen op D-Day.

- Als u met kinderen reist, houd er dan rekening mee dat iedereen een zitplaats nodig heeft. Het is een wettelijke vereiste, dus zorg ervoor dat u een zitplaats reserveert voor elke persoon die deelneemt aan de tour. Het is verboden om baby's op schoot te vervoeren. Geef tijdens het reserveren de leeftijd van het kind aan en wij zullen indien nodig een autostoeltje voor u regelen. Wij accepteren geen kinderen jonger dan 4 jaar.

This tour was great! Perfect amount of time at each stop. Our guide Matthew spoke great English. He was very knowledgeable on the history of the region. Would recommend!
On this half-day excursion from Bayeux to three of the sites closely associated with D-Day, there was never a dull moment. Irène proved to be a very well-read, helpful, and entertaining driver and tour guide. Due to the simultaneous departures of other providers from the same location, there was a small parking bottleneck in the center of Bayeux. Arriving on time is therefore highly recommended if you are traveling by car in Normandy yourself.

Gives overview of D-Day at primarily Omaha beach. Our guide, Irene, was fantastic. Not only knowledgeable, but spoke with great clarity. The tour itself is well managed and mostly worked around heavily congested area. Bring water with you.

Very fast and efficient way to see some Normandy highlights in about 4 hours. Not much time to take it all in at a leisurely pace, but if you want to say you saw it and experienced it, it’s perfect.

The guide was incredible. She really wanted to provide you with as much information as possible, not just in regard to the tour but also about the surrounding area. I have come away richly informed about a key event in WW2. It was as emotional as it was interesting.

This was a phenomenal tour! Our guide, Rethro, taught us many things we did not know about D-Day and World War II. He was also fun, kind, easy to talk to, and kept us in the shade and out of traffic as much as possible. Our entire family loved this tour and Rethro!
