Geniet van een dagtour door de Amerikaanse sectoren van de invasie van de D-Day-Normandië. Een ervaren Engelstalige gids zal u de slagveldsites laten zien en de gebeurtenissen die zich hebben voorgedaan gedetailleerd toelichten. Om deel te nemen aan deze tour, moeten jij en je kleine groep de trein nemen van Paris St Lazare naar Bayeux en na de tour een retourtrein nemen naar Parijs vanuit Bayeux. Deze aangename treinreis duurt iets meer dan 2 uur in elke richting. Houd er rekening mee dat het treinkaartje niet bij de prijs van deze tour is inbegrepen. Terwijl iemand anders het rijden voor je doet, kom je stressvrij en ontspannen aan in Normandië. De tour vertrekt vanaf het treinstation van Bayeux en je gids zal wachten op de aankomst van je trein vanuit Parijs. Deze tour is een perfecte oplossing voor klanten die de Amerikaanse stranden van D-Day willen verkennen als een dagtrip vanuit Parijs!

U krijgt een goed overzicht van de strandlandingen die plaatsvonden op Omaha Beach op 6 juni 1944. Daarna heeft u ongeveer 15 minuten vrije tijd om over het zand te lopen (afhankelijk van de getijdenomstandigheden) waar Amerikaanse troepen landden op D-dag.
De gids leidt je naar de ongelooflijke Amerikaanse begraafplaats en legt veel belangrijke feiten uit over wanneer het werd gebouwd, waarom het zich bevindt waar het is en veel verhalen over de mannen en vrouwen die hier begraven liggen. Je krijgt ongeveer 45 minuten vrije tijd om op eigen gelegenheid te verkennen.
Stop drie is de ongelooflijke Pointe Du Hoc. Deze indrukwekkende site was een doelstelling voor American Rangers op D-Day. Uw gids zal de tijd nemen om u rond de site te leiden en de overblijfselen van de Duitse vestingwerken te verklaren en uit te leggen hoe de Rangers er uiteindelijk in zijn geslaagd om deze ongelooflijke Duitse kustbatterij met lange afstand tot zwijgen te brengen.
We stoppen bij Sainte Mere Eglise om het belang van de 82nd Airborne operatie op D-Day uit te leggen. Op deze locatie blijven we 1 uur en 30 minuten. Gedurende deze tijd krijgt u 1 uur vrije tijd voor de lunch. Houd er rekening mee dat de lunch niet bij de prijs van de tour is inbegrepen. Als je wilt, kun je de hele 90 minuten voor je vrije tijd gebruiken. Je kunt een snelle snack pakken en daarna het indrukwekkende Airborne Museum bezoeken. In het hart van Sainte-Mère-Eglise, tegenover de kerk waar John Steele beroemd werd gevangen, hangend aan de klokkentoren aan zijn parachute. Het Airborne Museum laat je de D-Day beleven en begrijpen, van de invasievoorbereidingen in Engeland tot de gevechten voor bevrijding. Stap aan boord van een zweefvliegtuig en een C-47-vliegtuig met geluids- en lichteffecten voor een totale onderdompeling. Ook vergezel je de soldaten van de 82nd en 101st Airborne Division in de beslissende veldslagen van de landing in Normandië dankzij een hyperrealistische museografie.
Je gids geeft je een gedetailleerd verslag van de landingen door de Amerikaanse 4th Infantry Division voordat je wat vrije tijd krijgt om de vele monumenten die zich hier bevinden te verkennen.

A wonderful activity from start to finish! Super easy pickup from the train station in a small group format. The stops were well planned and thoughtful in their story telling. Our tour guide Irene is excellent and very knowledgeable of everything. The tour is great. However, two of us came down with stomach flu the night before and couldn’t make the trip in the last minute. The rest of us could still make the tour. We kindly asked for refunds of the two unused tickets, even with partial refunds is greatly appreciated by us for their understanding of our unfortunate sickness situation, but they firmly refused.

That said, we did our best to assist by providing documentation that could be submitted to your travel insurance provider, as travel insurance is often designed to cover unexpected situations such as illness. In May 2026 we had an excellent tour of the Utah and Omaha beaches with Irene. She was educational and entertaining at the same time. She answered many quiestions from the group with authority. Amazing trip-squeezed in so many sites, beautiful walks to see exhibits. Cold and windy weather at both low and high tide allowed us to imagine what took place in history. Jordan was so knowledgeable and kind and humorous. Very patient and added a few extra sites to experience along the way.

The tour was great, Mathieu did an excellent job. The best part was the tour was an excellent value - I would highly recommend. My wife and I did four other private tours while in France on this trip and Bayeux Shuttle was the best in terms of quality, coverage and value. Mathieu picked us up at 9:30 ish and dropped us off around 6pm. We paid double for a Versailles tour that was about four hours. We saw Omaha Beach, Point Du Loc, Utah Beach, American Cemetery, German Cemetery, the town of Sainte-Mere-Eglise and Airborne Museum.
