Geniet van een dag weg van de stad en ervaar de grandeur van de prachtige wonderen van de Sichuan-regio op deze tour van een volledige dag naar de Qingcheng-berg en het Dujiangyan-irrigatiesysteem, die beide op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staan. Bewonder de tempels en zalen in het dichte bamboebos en de grotten van de Qingcheng-berg waar u een boottocht en wandeling met uw gids zult maken. Bewonder de bouw van het Dujiangyan-irrigatiesysteem, dat in 256 v.Chr. is gebouwd en heeft geleid tot aanzienlijke irrigatie- en landbouwontwikkeling in de regio.

Ontsnap aan de drukte van Chengdu en geniet van de natuurlijke schoonheid van de provincie Sichuan tijdens deze dagexcursie. Je eerste stop is de Qingcheng-berg. Naast de ongelooflijk weelderige omgeving en afgelegen rust, beschikt de berg over een aantal goed bewaarde taoïstische tempels. Maak een boottocht over het Yuecheng-meer en kijk vanaf de kabelbaan neer op het groene bos. Volg later je gids om de berg op te wandelen en onderweg verschillende tempels te bezoeken, zoals de Jianfu-tempel, uit de Tang-dynastie, of de Tianshi Cave, voltooid tijdens de Qing-dynastie en waar ooit een beroemde taoïstische meester lesgaf. Neem hetzelfde pad terug naar de voet van de berg.
Na de lunch in een lokaal restaurant (inbegrepen), geniet je van de rit naar het Dujiangyan irrigatiesysteem. Gebouwd in 256 voor Christus om irrigatie en overstromingsbestrijding in de regio te bieden, is de Dujiangyan een van de grootste waterbouwprojecten van de Qin-dynastie. Bekijk de vissenmonding, vernoemd naar zijn conische kop die lijkt op de bek van een vis, en leer over de belangrijke rol die het in het systeem speelt. Het gebied Dujiangyan heeft ook een prachtig landschap en vele culturele overblijfselen en historische bezienswaardigheden. Bezoek de Two Kings Temple en de Dragon-Taming Temple en bewonder de stijl van traditionele Chinese architectuur en de ingewikkelde ontwerpen van oude beelden. Wandel door de tuinen van Lidui Park en zie hoe technische meesterwerken goed samengaan met het natuurlijke landschap van het park.

We had this experience with Silvia as our guide. Her enthusiasm and knowledge made the whole trip much more enjoyable and interesting than it would have been otherwise. Also, her availability to suggest local landmarks can't be fully appreciated until you experience her. She directed us for instance to the local Tea Market and Embroidery museum & helped us to acquire beautiful local manufacture. If you book this, ask for her. Five stars aren't enough, she deserves twice as many.
Stunning scenery - I love snow covered mountain views (I was fortunate that it was a sunny winter;s day). Add in the birthplace of Taoism and the associated temples - altogether making a great start to the day (I could have spent all day there). Add to that the interesting history and engineering of the irrigation system. My guide was very friendly and added to the day. A great day out.
This package was way way over priced, it took only a short car ride distance to reach the place of interest, and the prices of the entrance tickets for the 2 places of interest i visited were pretty low too, less than US$15. And the lunch was taken at a local resturant, agaian the cost was less than US$20. And yet the total package cost was about US$250 which was way way over priced. When I checked with a few local travel agencies, it costs only about 200CNY. I strongly advise foreign visitors to review your plan before signing up the packages offered.
It’s very disappointed to hear that! How can a private day tour with private car transportation, private English speaking guide tour, entrance fees and lunch included cost 200 CNY? I know that there are local Chinese shopping tour groups you can join for free, even 200 CNY is too much, but without buying enough amount of goods the guide recommended, it’s not possible for the group to leave the shopping place, too many sad stories we heard from news. We offer high quality private tour, we hate those deceptive tricks, just arrange total different tours from the 200 CNY tour you mentioned. Let me list the costs: 1. Private car for one day: how much you think will be: 2. Private English speaking guide for a day: how much you think will be: 3. Entry fees of Mt. Qingcheng and Irrigation Systems: 90+90 =180 CNY 4. Ferry boat at Mt. Qingcheng: 5 CNY 6. Cable car at Mt. Qingcheng: 70+60=130 CNY 7. Lunch: 150 CNY (20 US$ as you said) 8. Our service charge: how much you prefer to pay? Obviously, 200 CNY is absolutely impossible, how can you trust those lies from those local agencies? Ten times 200 CNY is not enough, think about it again, my friend!
The guide Wells had very good english, and he and the driver were very attentious. I didn't last any time buying tickets to boat and cable car. Mount Qingcheng is very interesting, the birth of Taoism. And the Dujiangyan irrigation system is impressive. Wells explained to me the clever system built some centurires ago and still working. The lunch was very good. I liked the trip but would not do it again because of the cost benefit, mainly because I was traveling solo.

Great trip. Guide spoke excellent English and could understand our questions and answer them with context. He was considerate in his pacing and concerned for our safety. There are many many steps and the trip description should advise travelers that this is a strenuous activity. The irrigation site was beautiful with outstanding landscaping. The tour itself was OK and many of the monuments were left aside in order to have a lunch.It took also more than the predicted time,which left me no time to visit the monuments at Chengdu.So for people that can speak some Chinese and want to do sightseeing I would recommend to go there by themshelves. They would manage to see more and walk around in the mountain,whose natural environment is comparable to Emeishan. But for people like me that like flirting with girls, this tour is ideal. Silvia,although not so beautiful, will let you have a nice dating feeling that you will remember for days.She also arranged for me a driver to drive me to the train station next day.
The views were amazing and I was lucky to be able to visit with good weather and a good guide. My guide Leila was friendly and very knowledgeable. Could tell that she's passionate about her job as she explained the significant of each location. I had a good time chatting with her and she even helped me get a bracelet at a nearby coffee place.
