Onze reizigers houden van onze kleine groepen gelijkgestemde mensen. We bieden plaats aan maximaal 11 passagiers. Onze gids is gekwalificeerd en goed geïnformeerd over de natte tropen en biedt persoonlijke en interactieve ervaringen. De tour biedt uitgebreide informatie over cultuur, natuur en geschiedenis en biedt tegelijkertijd een breed scala aan landschappen en interactieve ervaringen. Een Daintree River Cruise van 1 uur om het diverse ecosysteem te leren en te verkennen. De kans om de ongrijpbare krokodil, de vele vogels en andere soorten dieren in het wild te zien. Een heerlijke lunch uit de Australische keuken wacht in het Daintree Tea House voordat we onze reis naar het oudste regenwoud ter wereld voortzetten. Bij Mossman Gorge genieten we tot 3 uur van deze buitengewone biodiverse omgeving van flora en fauna. Tijdens een interactieve reis met onze gids door het regenwoud leer je over de cultuurgeschiedenis en de betekenis van de flora en fauna in deze regio. Het is een tijd om je onder te dompelen in en verbinding te maken met deze buitengewone levenservaring.

Een schilderachtige tocht naar het noorden langs de Great Barrier Reef Drive biedt een adembenemend uitzicht over de koraalzee voordat u Port Douglas bereikt. Je gids neemt je mee op een schilderachtige rit door deze populaire kustplaats via de hoofdstraat en omhoog naar het uitkijkpunt Flagstaff Hill voor een perfect uitzicht op het 6,5 kilometer lange strand. Als u uw gids voortzet, wijst u op de pittoreske landschappen, de kapel en het mariene vooruitzicht voordat u nieuwe bezoekers ophaalt die zich bij ons voegen vanuit Port Douglas.
Aangekomen voor onze Daintree River Cruise genieten we van een verfrissingsstop voor ochtendthee aan de Daintree River. Voorzieningen zijn beschikbaar. Geniet van huisgemaakte lekkernijen geserveerd met thee en koffie. Na de ochtendthee gaan we aan boord voor de cruise van 11.00 uur op de Daintree River. Als je uitkijkt naar wat opwinding op het water, kun je visactiviteit zien, de ongrijpbare krokodil die langzamer boven het water uitsteekt of zich koestert langs de rivieroevers. Mogelijk kunt u ook de vele vogels, kasuarissen en waterdraken observeren terwijl we langs de Daintree-rivier varen. Je gids geeft je diepgaand commentaar op het gedrag en de waarnemingen van wilde dieren terwijl je meer te weten komt over dit buitengewone ecosysteem. Een avontuur voor iedereen om te genieten van geweldige mogelijkheden om te fotograferen en te ontspannen terwijl u geniet van deze 1 uur durende cruise over de Daintree-rivier, waarbij u de natuur en de omringende schoonheid van dit buitengewone riviersysteem observeert.
Na uw cruise geeft uw gids u een mooie rondleiding door Daintree Village voordat u aankomt bij het Daintree Tea House voor de lunch. Geniet van een à-la-cartelunch van restaurantkwaliteit uit de Australische keuken terwijl u dineert in de Daintree. Geef bij het maken van uw boeking eventuele speciale dieetwensen door.
Aangekomen bij het Mossman Gorge Cultureel centrum gaan we naar de shuttlehalte om aan boord van de bus te stappen die ons de kloof in brengt. Je gids geeft je een volledige introductie in de regio en blijft belangrijke geschiedenis en kennis van de lokale bevolking delen. Het lagere gedeelte van de kloof is volledig toegankelijk voor alle leeftijdsgroepen en niveaus. Terwijl je gids je meeneemt langs de promenades, blijft hij interessante feiten delen over de biodiversiteit van het regenwoud en de dieren in het wild, waarbij hij wijst op specifieke planten, zaden en bushtucker die dit ecosysteem bloeiend houden. Misschien wilt u zich dieper onderdompelen in dit eeuwenoude regenwoud door ervoor te kiezen om te gaan zwemmen. Als je de bovenste delen van de Mossman Gorge verder wilt verkennen, neemt je gids je mee voor deze extra trekking om de diepere delen van het regenwoud te verkennen. Houd er rekening mee dat de bovenste regio op gemiddeld niveau is ingedeeld en geen mobiliteitstoegang biedt.
Op de terugweg richting Cairns maken we van de gelegenheid gebruik voor een laatste stop bij Rex's Lookout met uitzicht op de koraalzee. Een geweldig uitzicht op de kustlijn die de bergen omhelst, is een geweldige foto. Ook een populaire stop om paragliders te bekijken op een goede heldere dag.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ophalen van Port Douglas ongeveer 9.15 uur Houd er rekening mee dat we rechtstreeks ophalen bij alle hotels, zorg ervoor dat u handmatig de naam van het hotel waar u verblijft in Cairns toevoegt. Wacht 10 minuten voor de geplande ophaaltijd in de lobby van de receptie.

From pickup to dropoff our family of 7 had a wonderful day on this tour. We saw many crocodiles in the Daintree river, swam in the majestic Mossman Gorge and drove through the buzzing Port Douglas., Simon explained the unique vegetation in an interesting and engaging way. We enjoyed learning about the indigenous story of the areas we visited and Simon’s love of the area shone through. The day was at a comfortable pace and, being a small tour Simon was able to adjust times at different places so we could experience the day to its fullest. We travelled with 2 young children and Simon catered the information to them and they really enjoyed their day. Definitely recommend this tour. A & A

We had a wonderful day! Karlos was a great guide and full of so much knowledge. You can tell that he really enjoys his job and is very approachable and happy to answer any questions. Even though a schedule needed to be kept, the day felt very relaxed and not rushed which was all down to the way Karlos approached the itinerary and the group. The homemade cake before the 1 hour Daintree river cruise to search for crocodiles was a much appreciated added touch and so delicious! The small group added to the personal experience and we enjoyed the day from beginning to end. The tour was absolutely amazing - very engaging and full of beautiful places. We went on a river cruise where we saw crocodiles, walked through the tropical rainforest, and even swam in the river! We also learned a lot of interesting and useful facts about Australia, and overall had a fantastic time. Our guide, Simon, was very attentive, answered all our questions, and even recommended a few great places to visit outside of the tour. Simon made the trip feel like you were out with an exceedingly knowledgable friend who was willing to take time to ensure you made the most of the day. It was at our pace rather than his but we still saw and did everything on the itinerary with very personal details added. Our elevenses (morning tea) were included - the drink of your choice with his grandma’s recipe home made fruitcake (luckily there was enough for 2 servings each). Bruce (!), our river cruise guide was Simon’s friend and again very knowledgable (we saw 2 crocodiles). Our trip into Mossman’s Gorge followed a meal of our choice (included in price) and we learnt so much about the rain forest plants and fauna and how they all have their part to play in the ecology of the rainforest - we even saw Ulysses butterflies - so beautiful. My husband swam in the river - a beautiful spot and so peaceful. All in all a brilliant day out.

Everything about this tour was perfect! If you appreciate really understanding everything you are seeing, the history, flora/fauna and enjoy a good yarn, then you will not be disappointed. This is a small group tour and as such it is not a ‘bus tour’ with photo stops. There was an element of flexibility throughout the day, depending on our groups ability, interests and the prevailing weather conditions. All done to provide the best possible experience.
