We beginnen bij Mossman Gorge National Park, het zuidelijke deel van het Daintree Rainforest. Uw gids deelt zijn kennis van de lokale flora en fauna met u en beantwoordt al uw vragen. Dit is een gemakkelijke terugwandeling van 500 meter, meestal langs promenades. We genieten van een heerlijke Morning Tea in het Mossman Gorge Visitors Centre. Uw keuze uit plunjerkoffie of Daintree-thee met een traditionele demper, geserveerd met jam, honing en room.
Vervolgens gaan we langs de Captain Cook Hwy door de gemeente Mossman en langs de rietvelden naar het Daintree Rainforest.
Bij de Daintree River beginnen we aan een schilderachtige Wildlife Cruise op zoek naar slangen, prachtige vogels en natuurlijk de machtige zoutwaterkrokodillen. Op de terugweg in de middag steken we de Daintree River over aan boord van de beroemde Daintree Ferry en genieten we van het prachtige uitzicht op en neer de rivier.
U zult genieten van een begeleide wandeling langs een promenade in het Daintree National Park. Met een overvloed aan flora en fauna te ontdekken, krijgt u een echt begrip van hoe het Daintree Rainforest leeft. Dit is een gemakkelijke 650m terugkeer promenade.
Voor de lunch gaan we naar het On The Turps Restaurant in de Heritage Lodge. Geniet van een heerlijke lunch op bestelling in dit openluchtrestaurant genesteld in het regenwoud langs de Cooper Creek.
Na de lunch bent u van harte welkom om te genieten van een verfrissende duik in Cooper Creek. Deze prachtige regenwoudkreek is gemakkelijk te bereiken via een pad vanuit het restaurant en vrij van krokodillen. Ontspan en geniet van de rust.
Het is nu tijd om richting Cape Tribulation te gaan, het gebied dat bekend staat om het gezegde waar het 'regenwoud en het rif' elkaar ontmoeten. Je hebt tijd voor een wandeling langs het strand of naar het uitkijkpunt, een gebied doordrenkt van geschiedenis dat wordt uitgelegd door je deskundige gids.
Op de terugweg naar de Daintree River stoppen we voor ijs op smaak gebracht met lokaal geteeld tropisch fruit. Een echte traktatie tijdens uw vakantie!
En een stop bij de Alexandra Lookout om te genieten van het prachtige uitzicht op het regenwoud en een prachtig uitzicht dat zich in de verte langs Cairns uitstrekt.

Informatie over ophalen Wij zorgen voor pick-up rechtstreeks van uw Port Douglas accommodatie. Als alternatief kunt u ons ontmoeten bij Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas of Club Mossman. Selecteer uw gewenste ophaallocatie bij het boeken, of neem minstens 24 uur voor uw tour contact met ons op als u uw gegevens wilt bijwerken. Ophalingen beginnen in de Port Douglas CBD vanaf 7 : 25 uur. Zorg dat u tegen deze tijd klaar staat voor uw accommodatie. Afhankelijk van onze planning kunnen we enkele minuten later bij u op locatie aankomen. Belangrijk : Wij bieden geen pick-ups van Cairns.

Great taste of the Daintree and cape tribulation. Very much looked after by Andrea on a well paced day out seeing lots of crocodiles, some rainforest walking and finishing off with ice cream.
This tour is amazing! Andrea’s knowledge and passion for the history, the indigenous culture, the flora & the fauna in this beautiful part of the world is contagious and leaves you wanting to learn more. Daintree Rainforest is beautiful, and you should see it if you're in the area, but maybe not this tour group. While the overall day was wonderful, there were a few things that kept this experience from being five stars. Our guide, Kim, was extremely rude to my family and me, constantly pointing us out from the group as Americans and even asking us our political stance on current events. This made my family and me very uncomfortable with our guide. I am sure many of his comments were made as jokes, but they did not land with us. He constantly mentioned his views on politics, hippies, and Papua New Guinea, as well as details about his personal life. I was expecting to learn more about the rainforest than I did. He also said that it is okay to drive drunk in the rainforest, since there are no cops up there. No one found that joke funny. For the amount we paid, I was hoping to get more time in the actual rainforest. While I understand that the rainforest itself is far from Port Douglas, I was hoping not to spend most of the day in the small van, and yet it was. Not a complaint, but something other travelers should know. The river cruise was the best part of the day, as we were not with Kim. The guide for the river cruise was excellent, and was the most I learned about the rainforest the entire day. He was great at spotting crocs and telling us about them and their home. I wish the cruise had been longer than it was. The food was okay. The coffee/tea experience was wonderful. However, lunch was served very early for me, before noon, which was not ideal. The ice cream was wonderful, but note that it was not included. The best parts of this tour were definitely the cruise and time in the forest; my family especially liked Mossman Gorge. Cape Tribulation was also beautiful. The natural beauty of Daintree is the only reason that my review is as high as it is. However, Kim's rude jokes and comments that made us feel uncomfortable were really unacceptable. Definitely see the Daintree Rainforest, but reconsider if this company is right for you.

The Daintree was incredible! Our guide, Dale, was very knowledgable and friendly. Wildlife is hard to spot in the rainforest, so seeing the Boyd Forest Dragon was extra special. Truly a beautiful place and the croc sighting exciting as well.

A fantastic day! Our guide Peer was absolutely brilliant, his knowledge was outstanding, we learnt so much about the Daintree Rainforest and the whole ecosystem. We had the best experience. Our guide, Cam was amazingly knowledgeable and charismatic. We had various sightings of animals, birds and insects. I think we managed 7 sightings of Cassowaries. Our mourning tea that was provided was lovely. Made up of Daintree tea and scones (with jam and cream). On our river cruise we sighted a five metre crocodile named Scooter. Lunch with about five different choices was amazing. The Barramundi was delicious . Take your bathers for a swim in the most clear and inviting looking swimming hole after lunch. The Daintree and Cape Tribulation has to be seen to be believed, totally amazing. What better way to end the day by calling in to grab some delicious ice cream.
