Verken de Great Outer Great Barrier Reef in luxe en stijl met Calypso. Het speciaal ontworpen vaartuig neemt u mee naar Agincourt of Opal Reef. Beide worden beschouwd als de belangrijkste locaties van het Great Barrier Reef. Snorkelen is de gemakkelijkste manier om het rif te ervaren. Probeer een introductieduik, geen ervaring nodig. - Het is niet raadzaam binnen 48 uur na uw vlucht te gaan duiken. Alle deelnemers moeten een vragenlijst over hun gezondheid invullen voordat ze mogen duiken. Als u een chronische medische conditie hebt (astma, hartproblemen enzovoort), mag u misschien niet duiken, dus vraag uw dokter om advies.
- Extra duiktochten kunnen aan boord worden geboekt en betaald (afhankelijk van beschikbaarheid). Maximaal drie duiktochten per dag.
- Kinderen jonger dan 12 jaar mogen niet duiken
- Alle duikers die aan een gecertificeerde duik willen deelnemen, moeten bewijzen dat ze een duikbrevet hebben
- Kinderen dienen te worden begeleid door een volwassene
- Als het regent op de dag van de trip, gaat de tour nog steeds door. Bij annulering door Calypso wegens slecht weer, met name storm, kunt u een alternatieve datum kiezen of volledige terugbetaling vragen
- Annuleringskosten kunnen van toepassing zijn indien minder dan 24 uur van tevoren wordt geannuleerd voorafgaand aan het vertrek

Calypso Reef Cruises were fantastic! From the moment we stepped on board, the team were friendly, attentive and made sure everyone was properly fitted with the right gear before getting into the water. The atmosphere on board was relaxed and welcoming, which made the whole day feel easy and well looked after. The tour visits three different Outer Reef sites, giving you plenty of time to experience different parts of the reef throughout the day. Morning tea and a really great lunch are included. There’s also the option to purchase photos taken by the crew during your time in the water. It was a fantastic day out on the Great Barrier Reef and an experience we would highly recommend.
Irene, Pam, Miles as well as the and the entire group were outstanding. Pam and Miles did the instruction for the Introductory Dive, and lead our two groups for the actual Instructional Dive. One of the true highlights of our Australia trip.
Absolutely fantastic trip — I would 100% recommend it! We did a Discovery Dive with Pam, who was amazing. As first-time divers, she made us feel completely calm, safe, and at ease throughout the experience. Thanks to her guidance, we thoroughly enjoyed the dive and felt confident in the water. The trip was excellent value for money, and the crew worked incredibly hard to make sure everyone had a great experience. We had the best day and can't thank the team enough!
Me and my partner had an amazing snorkel trip with Calypso! We had 3 different snorkel sites with around an hour at each one. In between we were provided with drinks and snacks. The buffet style lunch was excellent. The tour was very informative and Kate- the marine biologist did and great job of explaining all about the Great Barrier Reef and its wildlife and was really helpful with the snorkelling aspects- even giving us a reef tour. The highlight was definitely seeing a Minke whale, it came right up to us as we were snorkelling! It was magnificent. What a day
Our experience with Calypso was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The entire boat crew was excellent, going above and beyond to look after everyone and constantly checking in to ensure we were comfortable and doing okay. We felt incredibly safe in the water the entire time, and they provided all the top-notch gear we needed for a seamless day. A huge highlight was having a dedicated marine biologist on board; it was fantastic to learn so much about the coral and the ecosystem, which added so much depth and context to what we were seeing underwater. It was a perfectly run, beautiful day on the water, and I cannot recommend this crew highly enough!
The tour was well-organized and we got to see 3 different areas of pristine coral reef during the day. Lots of fish and beautiful coral, even though it was a cloudy/windy day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The boat itself was a good setup - it had a wide back step for people to ready up their gear before gently immersing themselves in the water. I've done other tours where you're expected to jump off the boat, and this one is definitely not that, which is great! I loved the skipper that was on my boat on Monday, 5/25. She was a pleasant soul to chat with about anything and everything that was outdoors in the area.
A two-hour speedboat ride from Port Douglas. I went to Opal Court. I am very satisfied to have been taken to three very beautiful points in the open ocean. The weather on 5/1 was cloudy and it was cold just to wear a jellyfish-proof suit, so it might be best to have a thin, warm coat inside. By the way, there were no jellyfish!!! The tour staff were all very kind and we enjoyed snorkeling freely.

Amazing experience with Calypso and the whole crew! We visited three different reef sites to see the corals, and we had a guided tour led by a marine biologist who was fantastic at explaining everything. She also helped me a lot when I felt a little nervous about swimming in the ocean. Thanks to her and the entire crew, I had an amazing experience. One of my friends did the scuba diving and had a great experience. He felt very safe and well supported by the guide, who explained everything clearly and made sure he was fully prepared before the dive. Definitely one of the best tours during my visit to Cairns! I would highly recommend it, especially if you’re someone who doesn’t feel very confident swimming in the ocean. The crew makes you feel safe and comfortable, so you can fully enjoy the experience without letting your fears hold you back.
