We brengen meer tijd door in het regenwoud dan welke andere tour dan ook! Dompel jezelf onder in een regenwoudervaring als geen ander. Begin de dag op een geheime locatie aan de Mossman River voor onze unieke River Drift Experience voor een verfrissende ontsnapping in de buurt van Port Douglas. Trek en zweef door de weelderige paden en heldere beekjes van de Mossman. Leer de geheimen ervan, zwem in alle rust en drijf rond in de omhelzing van het regenwoud Na een welverdiende lunch kunt u genieten van een traditionele Kuku Yalanji-rookceremonie in de Mossman Gorge; je wordt gereinigd van kwade geesten en er wordt traditionele bodypaint uit het regenwoud aangebracht. Tijdens deze interpretatieve wandeling van 1,5 uur verken je het Daintree National Park in een rustig tempo en krijg je een dieper inzicht in dit adembenemende regenwoud. Een Daintree-avontuur dat je niet mag missen!

Lunch Traditionele Kuku Yalanji rookceremonie; je wordt gereinigd van kwade geesten en krijgt traditionele bodypaint uit het regenwoud. Verken het Daintree National Park in een rustig tempo, deze interpretatieve wandeling van 1,5 uur geeft je een beter begrip van dit adembenemende regenwoud
Rivier drift snorkelen Als je van de natuur en het water houdt, dan is dit de perfecte tour voor jou! Stap in een oud regenwoud, stap in het koele, kristalheldere water en drijf mee met de stroming terwijl je het leven onder het wateroppervlak verkent. Kijk hoe vissen in en rond de rivierstenen schieten en houd je ogen uit voor af en toe een schildpad. Deze gezinsvriendelijke tour is een perfecte manier om koel te blijven in de hete tropen en is een geweldige introductie tot snorkelen voordat je naar de riffen gaat. Kleine kinderen kunnen op grote riviersleden de rivier afzakken.

Backcountry Bliss Mosman River Drift Experience has long been a dream of mine and it didn’t disappoint! Our Guide Aidan shared his knowledge of everything rainforest and I learnt so much. Both Aidan and Tia ensured we felt the magic of this place, from the water ( so pure), the ancient trees, wildlife and connections to the First Nations people. Both my husband and I are 62, myself very cautious and my husband a pure adventurer. We both absolutely felt the magic of this place, loved the walk up river, the drifts with and without our sleds, all we learnt and the cuppa and biscuit at the end. This was a wonderful day with swimming, hiking, lunch, and, especially, a super-fun river float. On the float the river flow is all class 1, so small rapids that were a kick but nothing scary for a swimmer of moderate ability. After a nice lunch (great chicken Caesar salad) there were two opportunities to swim on the hike, one by a little waterfall. I was glad I did both since they were VERY refreshing. Also I want to give a shout-out: We all know that enthusiasm is contagious. So is joy. Bridget, who accompanied us on our float was laughing and fun while also caring for us. She added to the day! P S. In the past I have had people ask for positive reviews and to have their name mentioned and that did not happen here.

We booked this excursion during our time in Australia whilst on Honeymoon. I am not the biggest fan of water but Vincent and Tia were sooooo reassuring and explained everything so well I absolutely loved this experience. It was very relaxing just floating down the river and the trek through the Mossman Gorge was very pretty to do!!

Fantastic day out! Picked up from our accommodation in Port Douglas. Very enjoyable river drift experience. Afternoon visiting the Mossman Gorge. This included a trip to the Indigenous Heritage Centre there before exploring the rainforest itself. Even found time for a swim in the gorge. Much needed given the humidity and heat. Our tour guide, Josephine, was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects but especially enthusiastic about all things nature. We wanted copies of some extra photographs to add to our memories - the office could not have been more helpful in obtaining them. We wanted a different type of day and this most definitely did that! We did the river drift- picked up from our accomodation in Port Douglas and transport to the start of the tour. Was fabulous, from start to finish, informative and fun. Only complaint - finished too soon! Would recommend to anyone who is looking for something to do for half a day. We will be back!

We had a really good half-day on the Mossman river with Back Country Bliss, using small inflatable rafts to float down the river. It’s real fun. Our guides were Jai and Sam and they were excellent. Although I can imagine it being a bit tame for more adventurous types, it was perfect for us. and would be ideal for a family with children over the age of 10 who were good swimmers. The river depth was perfect for us, but I heard that sometimes after some rain, the activity is cancelled if the river is too fast flowing. As well as the river experience, it was amazing to be in the rainforest and to have an explanation about all the trees and the plants, including the toxic gympie gympie. We also saw lots of butterflies including many Ulysses.
