Wees getuige van het aanbreken van een nieuwe dag op de top van Haleakala (het huis van de zon) een slapende vulkanische berg met uitzicht op Maui aan de oostkant. Diepe canyons en hellingen en ongerept terrein zijn de thuisbasis van endemische Hawaiiaanse Nene ganzen en zeldzame Silversword planten. Je wordt vervoerd in een comfortabele minibus naar 9.740 voet hoogte, dicht bij de top om getuige te zijn van de ultieme zonsopgang; een spectaculaire show van licht en kleuren. Ophaallocaties en -tijden
BELANGRIJK: de toegang is beperkt tot Lahaina aan de westkant van Maui. De verstrekte tourtijden weerspiegelen het begin en het einde van de tour, maar niet uw exacte ophaal- en inlevertijd. Ongeacht of u uw hotel/accommodatie al dan niet heeft opgegeven op het moment van boeken, u dient minimaal (2) dagen vóór uw tourdatum contact op te nemen met de touraanbieder om uw exacte ophaaltijd en -locatie te ontvangen. De reisaanbieder zal u informeren over het specifieke gebied in het hotel/accommodatie waar u moet wachten; bijvoorbeeld "bij de hoofdingang." Zorg ervoor dat je minimaal 5 minuten vóór je ophaaltijd aanwezig bent. Houd rekening met een uitstelperiode van 10-15 minuten, aangezien de chauffeur andere gasten in uw regio ophaalt. Als uw hotel/accommodatie niet is opgenomen in ons ophaalschema, wordt u geadviseerd om elkaar op een nabijgelegen locatie te ontmoeten. Houd er rekening mee dat het bij bepaalde accommodaties verboden is om niet-hotelgasten op te halen en dat we niet ophalen bij privé-accommodaties zoals AirBnB's en woonwijken.

- Neem ten minste 7 dagen voor de tourdatum contact op met de touroperator voor ADA en alle speciale verzoeken.
- Haleakala staat bekend om de snel veranderende weersomstandigheden en dichte wolken en regen komen vaak voor. Als gevolg hiervan is een duidelijk zicht op de zonsopgang niet gegarandeerd en gaat de tour door met regen of zonneschijn. Restituties worden alleen verleend als de tour om veiligheidsredenen wordt geannuleerd.
- De grote hoogte op het topgebied kan gezondheidsproblemen en ademhalingsmoeilijkheden bemoeilijken. Oudere bezoekers, zwangere vrouwen, jonge kinderen en mensen met ademhalings- of hartaandoeningen dienen hun arts te raadplegen voordat ze gaan touren. Loop langzaam en drink water om uitdroging te voorkomen. Als je bent gaan duiken, moet je minimaal 72 uur wachten voordat je aan deze tour begint.

The sunrise was spectacular!!! A once in a lifetime experience. What they don’t tell you on the “what to bring section” is dress warm- pants, gloves, coats/sweatshirt, beanie, a blanket, hand warmers. Some tours provided jackets for their tourists. Polynesian did not- thankfully our guide was willing to share extra items he had with the group. For the price of the tour, warm clothing should be provided. Our guide started the tour with the following statement: “ I’ve been doing this for 10 years. There are dumb questions (he gave examples). Don’t ask me dumb questions.” Who starts a tour with that tone? No one asked him any questions- we were afraid to… We were the first group to the parking lot… the last to leave. He delayed us leaving to let the breakfast place clear out I think. We were given a pack of cookies to eat, but guide said the coffee was missing today. The sunrise part of the tour, looking at the gift shop et. was done at 6:30 & we didn’t eat until 9am!! Granted, it was an hour drive to breakfast- but we could have been there at 8 & back to the hotel earlier. We had a type 1 diabetic in our group- thank goodness they brought enough snacks to make it til 9. Did he even ask or check with us if we had any special needs to consider? No… I would do the sunrise again- but I would try to book it on my own with a park pass. It was too long (2am til 11 am), we were starving, we were cold, the tour guide was grumpy. Not a great experience with this company.
Wonderful service that facilitated a very unique and memorable experience! We were picked up exactly on time at our hotel and then driven to Haleakalā. Alfredo was kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, and funny. When we arrived at the top, there was heavy mist and 30 mile an hour winds (gusts likely to 40). Although we packed heavy layers, beanies, and gloves, we were absolutely soaking wet and cold for the 60+ minutes waiting for sunrise. It was uncomfortable but we were committed. When the sun finally broke through the clouds, the wind died down and the ran stopped. Our viewpoint was perfect and photos amazing. It was worth the minor suffering for the pictures and memories! In addition to several layers, warm hats and gloves, I HIGHLY recommend packing ponchos or a heavy duty raincoat AND a dry set of clothes to change into afterward. That would have made it more comfortable for sure. The breakfast was delicious and very welcome after being so cold and wet. I highly recommend this experience and service. I suggest the company provide ponchos as part of the admission. Aloha and Mahalo!
It was a lifetime memorable experience of watching sun rise from Haleakala. Our tour guide and van driver Preston was very nice, explaining various details of Maui.
Watching the sunrise over the clouds of Haleakala was an experience of a lifetime. We enjoyed the ride to the summit because of the knowledgeable, punctual and a professional guide. I Highly recommend this tour for everyone who is planning to visit Maui
Alfredo or Al Pacino was the best tour guide ever. He made us laugh and taught us history of Hawaii. We had so much fun. The length of the visit was perfect. We got to enjoy the time there and still have more time for other adventures. The crowd was good and full of nice people. Overall would recommend, and especially with Al Pacino.
Alfredo was an amazing guide. He was attentive and accommodating. His positive attitude and sense of humor made challenging weather conditions more manageable. Dress warm!!!
