My tour to Margaret River was one of the highlights of my Australian trip. Lincoln and Rusty were great guides.

Our Margaret River trip was only three days long but we managed to fit in a lot of sights and quite a few tastings of wine, chocolate, coffee and honey. What made the trip so special was the McLeod family’s personal touch. Having lived in the region for three generations their tour was a genuine insight into the wonderful Margaret River and surrounding communities. Thanks again Neil and Rusty for a great tour.

Our 1st visit to WA, we thoroughly enjoyed our small group tour of Margaret River. The entire three days were carefully curated to give us all a great experience with locals who are knowlegeable and passionate. Thank you to our guides Neil and Josh who went above and beyond. What a wonderful way to experience the Margaret River area over 2 nights/3 days. Neil and Rusty were such generous leaders with their knowledge and care of our group. Always punctual, the itinerary ran smoothly from our Perth hotel pick throughout the entire tour. Cafe/restaurant choices always served excellent food which was arranged early so there wasn’t unnecessary waiting at each venue. Our group of 10 got along well, 6 of which were family, with our bus being comfortable for long and short trips. The 3 vineyards on our tour each offered a different accent on the wine process. Hearing the backgrounds/history of the growers made the tastings feel a real paddock to glass experience. Loved the lighthouse tour, the spectacular coastline and lunch at the ‘last eatery before the Antarctic’. I would highly recommend joining a McLeod tour, you definitely need the 2 nights to begin to appreciate the Margaret River area. We look forward to returning one day and if not hope this review brings you to this exceptional part of Australia and onto a McLeod Tour. I recommend this 2 night tour for mature adults wanting to experience the Margaret River with passionate local guides familiar with the history of the area both past and present.

We did the 3 day Escape Tour, and it was truly something special. This wasn’t an ordinary tour at all. We didn’t visit the big name, bright light wineries because Margaret River is so much more than that. Instead, we were welcomed into small, family run wineries that demonstrated genuine passion about their craft. Every stop felt authentic and memorable. What made this tour extraordinary was that it wasn’t just about wine. It was a gentle reminder of the beauty of our land, the stories of those who came before us, and the people who shape this region today. If you asked us to choose a single favourite moment, we honestly couldn’t. The three days blended into the perfect mix of experiences — walking the Busselton Jetty, exploring the coast and caves, meeting the beautiful horses on the McLeod family property, enjoying thoughtfully chosen meal spots, and indulging in chocolate and coffee tastings. And yes, we even got to see stingrays and dolphins, which felt like a gift. Another unexpected highlight was on the journey back to Perth, listening to the audio version of The Road to Prevelly by Geoffrey Edwards — a moving account of the author’s gratitude to the Preveli Monastery in Crete and the villagers who helped Allied servicemen in 1941. McLeod Tours offers a truly authentic experience, delivered by a genuinely authentic family team who clearly love what they do. We couldn’t recommend them more. Tracey & Paul

If you want the most enjoyable, informative and entertaining tour of the Margaret River surrounds then this tour is a must. Neil and Lincoln are the most knowledgeable tour guides we have ever had and we've travelled extensively. The accommodation they organised along with the meals and the sites we visited were all first class. Thank you to the McLeod family for such a wonderful and enjoyable experience with a great bunch of fellow travellers.

A fantastic tour from start to finish. Linc & Rusty are terrific guides; passionate, knowledgeable, fun and totally professional. It was great to have Lincoln share his family history of the region, his passion really shined through. The tour is nicely varied with great inclusions, and nothing was too much trouble. The small group (we had 13) was great and accomodation was lovely. Well done Linc and Rusty and those behind the scenes, who are great communicators, this was the highlight of my Perth holiday.
