Je reis begint bij de Ku'ia Estates Chocolate Factory in Lahaina, de grootste chocoladefabriek in de staat Hawaï. Onze gids brengt je vervolgens naar ons privé-cacaolandgoed, genesteld in de uitlopers van de bergen van West Maui. Met meer dan 20 hectare aan cacaobomen leiden onze professionele en vriendelijke gidsen je van "boerderij naar bar". Deze interactieve en educatieve rondleiding laat je kennismaken met onze cacaobomen, de praktische technieken voor het oogsten van fruit en eindigt met een exclusieve 9-delige proeverij van onze bekroonde chocolade. Our visit was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Maui! The tour itself was incredible! I learned so much about chocolate production, farming, and processing that I had no idea about. Plus, the chocolate served during the tasting was insanely good! What also really impressed me was the facility's deep commitment to sustainability and giving back to the local community. It’s rare to see a business so genuinely dedicated to doing good while producing such a top-tier product. A huge shoutout to our guide, Rissi, who made the experience unforgettable! Rissi was fabulous from start to finish, incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and endlessly patient. She handled all of our group's many questions with ease and was fantastic at keeping everyone engaged. She was amazing with both my 14-year-old daughter and some younger kids on the tour with us (ranging from about 4 to 10). Rissi even stayed extra time after the tour finished just to keep answering our questions! If you're on the fence about booking, do it. Ask for Rissi if you can, and get ready for some unbelievable chocolate!
This was a great tour! Our guide was so knowledgable, answered all of our group's questions, and genuinely enjoyed their job. The tour size was small enough to feel intimate, yet big enough to have interaction with other guests. It was so exciting to learn all about Maui chocolate! Highly recommend this tour.
We had a great time on our tour! Rissi was a wonderful guide who is super knowledgable about not only the chocolate making process, but the history of Lahaina and Maui. Getting to walk the farm and learn about the care and thoughtfulness put into the chocolate making process made the tasting feel all the more special and meaningful. And the chocolate was absolutely delicious! This is definitely a worthwhile Maui experience, especially if it's your first time in Lahaina. Mahalo Rissi!
This tour was a great way to spend the morning! Rissy was our guide and she was knowledgeable, funny, and really made the experience. We walked through cacao fields and learned about the steps to making chocolate. We could touch cacao pods, and cocoa nibs, and ended with a tasting of 9 chocolates with a beautiful view. The location was easy to find. 10/10 experience!

You should definitely go on a Maui Chocolate tour! Our guide (Carissa) was so fun and informative. You will get to see the fields and learn about the history (and philanthropy) and the growing and processing steps with delicious samples along the way. There's also a great cafe with yummy desserts as well!
