Kom in de kerststemming tijdens deze wandeltocht door Wenen. Adem samen met je vriendelijke lokale gids de pittige aroma's van peperkoek in terwijl je je een weg baant door de traditionele Weense kerstmarkten op een van de oudste pleinen in Wenen - Am Hof, de populairste kerstmarkt op het Stadhuisplein (Rathaus) en de laatste halte is de kerstmarkt Charles Square (Karlsplatz). Bewonder de prachtige architectuur van de stad tijdens stops bij Graben en het Rathaus, en sluit je tour af met een mok hete gekruide wijn (op eigen kosten)

Deze feestelijke wandeltocht begint wanneer je je weg naar Graben Street begeeft - prachtig versierd met gigantische kerstkroonluchters. Begroet je professionele gids en de rest van je kleine groep en ga te voet langs enkele van de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden van Wenen. Stel je gids veel vragen; de kleine groepsgrootte zorgt voor persoonlijke service.
De Freyung Passage is een architectonisch juweel met marmeren zuilen, friezen en ijzerwerk. Geweldig ook voor etalages.
De markten op de Freyung behoren tot de meest traditionele in Wenen, inspirerend met traditioneel vakmanschap en een feestelijke, rustige sfeer - weg van de gebruikelijke drukte van vele andere markten.
Kerstmarkt Am Hof bevindt zich op een van de oudste en mooiste pleinen van Wenen. Beroemd om zijn "Zirbenpunsch" en grote verscheidenheid aan lokale kraampjes. Oostenrijkse Post is hier ook vertegenwoordigd en biedt bezoekers een zeer speciale hoogtepunten.
Het Burgtheater is het Oostenrijkse nationale theater en het belangrijkste Duitse taaltheater ter wereld.
Minorien Church presenteert de meest indrukwekkende geboorte van Wenen. De aanblik van deze kerststal kan de kijker ongetwijfeld in een meditatieve stemming brengen. Dit komt natuurlijk deels door de schoonheid van de figuren, maar ook door de landschapsarchitectuur en de vindingrijkheid in de presentatie en karakterisering van verschillende soorten mensen.
De traditionele kerstmarkt met ongeveer 150 kraampjes biedt kerstcadeautjes, kerstboomversieringen, handwerk, culinaire lekkernijen, snoep en warme dranken. De bomen in het Rathauspark en langs de Ringstraße schitteren in feestelijke pracht.

Wiener State Opera is een van de toonaangevende operahuizen ter wereld.
De tour eindigt op de kerstmarkt Art Advent Karlsplatz; waar u kunt blijven genieten van de kleurrijke sfeer, traditionele Oostenrijkse gerechten en glühwein terwijl u door de kraampjes met handwerkartikelen en vintage kerstdecoraties bladert.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Dace. We got to experience a variety of different types of Christmas markets and spent just the right amount of time in each.
Trying to visit 4 Christmas Markets in two hours, along with some historical sites, was too much. Our guide had to rush us through each location. No time even for pictures!

The tour needs to be longer. Too rushed to do 4 Christmas markets in 2 hours plus the last market was too far away from the city center. Barely had time to take pictures. We were only in town one night so needed more time to enjoy.

Vienna at Christmas time was magical. The Christkindle Market was one of the best markets we saw. Perfect for young and old alike we ranged from 15 - 74. Cannot recommend Vienna enough as a fantastic destination especially at Christmas time.
Great tour. We visited four markets, and the best ones too!! The tour operator used audio equipment so we could always hear the knowledge she was providing. We even seen the Last Supper that Nepoleon had commissioned in a church that we passed. It was great!!
Outstanding tour. Dace our guide was fantastic, and ensured we all saw as much as we could. Dace was also very knowledgeable and made the tour so interesting. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Grand hotel which was excellent but pricey & a great location right next to the State Opera. Lots of cafe restaurants nearby but with limited menus . The Tirolerof provides good food at reasonable prices. Visited the Christmas markets but disappointed to find the items vastly overpriced & much cheaper in the UK. Used the Big Bus hop on hop off sightseeing service for 48 hrs & saw the great palaces & museums and the other parts of the city. Wonderful architecture & culture made up for the Christmas markets which were a let down.

Very nice tour, we learned a lot about Vienna we never knew. History of the city but also about the rich families who lived here and made the city what it is nowadays. If you have planned a trip to Vienna, book this tour as well.
one of the nicest Christmas markets I"ve visited lately its so nice full of magic ,the decorations are amazing you feel like a child again .
We thoroughly enjoyed this trip on our first day. WE WERE VERY LUCKY as 2 people cancelled and the guide continued kindly with us like a private tour! We had a brief look at the cathedral while waiting for the others who never came. We then enjoyed a walking tour in the sun, but chilly! a great introduction to the city centre plus a few Christmas markets. As the light faded the Christmas lights/markets had atmosphere, very festive!Our friendly guide even showed us a great café to get the Viennese coffee and cake.
