Ervaar de kerstsfeer in drie meren/dorpen en één pittoreske stad op één dag. De hele dag brengen we door in de Alpenregio, waar we traditionele kerstmarkten zullen bezoeken. Hallstatt zal ons begroeten met een kerstsprookjessfeer, we lopen door smalle middeleeuwse straatjes en stoppen voor glühwein en kerstkoekjes. De Salzburg Christkindlmarkt aan de Dom en Residenzplatz heeft diepe historische wortels en is een van 's werelds oudste adventsmarkten. Het is een unieke setting in het hart van de oude stad die op de Werelderfgoedlijst van Salzburg staat, de traditionele marktkraampjes en de lange geschiedenis maken de Christkindlmarkt in Salzburg tot een echt speciale gelegenheid. Lokale volksgebruiken en traditionele versieringen voor de kerstboom, cadeaus voor groot en klein, allerlei heerlijke traktaties in de vorm van Oostenrijkse specialiteiten, glühwein en warme punch: op de kerstmarkt op het Domplein van Salzburg ontdekt u praktisch alles je zou kunnen wensen.

Wenen naar Hallstatt, ongeveer 4 uur. Ik zal je algemene informatie geven over Oostenrijk en de Oostenrijkse geschiedenis. We maken een korte stop bij een tankstation voor een toilet, een snack en koffie. We rijden langs een pittoreske dorpsweg, langs fascinerende uitzichten op de bergen en de prachtige stad Bad Ischl, die vele jaren een favoriete vakantieplek was van de keizerlijke familie van Oostenrijk.
Hallstatt, 2 uur. Halstatt is een charmant dorpje aan het meer. Het is een ongelooflijke plek die eruitziet als een openluchtmuseum, maar toch wonen er mensen in dit dorp. We hebben tijd om te lunchen en gaan samen voor een korte wandeling.
We rijden langs een bergweg met een prachtig uitzicht op bergmeren, valleien en kleine dorpjes
Het is de perfecte mix van geschiedenis en cultuur, de thuisbasis van Mozart, een oud fort en verschillende Sound of Music-sites.
Hallstatt - Wenen, ongeveer 3 uur. Zet je af bij je hotel. De weg terug naar Wenen, 3u 30min met de auto Onderweg stoppen we een keer op de snelweg voor een bezoek aan het toilet en snacks.

We can’t say enough wonderful things about this Christmas tour through Hallstatt and Salzburg. It was the kind of experience that stays with you long forever — truly a core memory. Hallstatt was breathtaking, with its snow-dusted rooftops (we did get very lucky with this). Strolling through the village felt peaceful and timeless, and every viewpoint looked like it belonged on a Christmas postcard. Salzburg was just as enchanting. The Christmas markets were full of handmade ornaments, Christmas decorations, and tasty mulled wine! Wandering the historic streets with festive decorations around every corner was pure magic. The tour was wonderfully organized, with the perfect balance of guided activities and Austrian history. We would highly recommend this Christmas tour to anyone wanting to feel the true spirit of the holidays. It was everything we hoped for and more — a trip we’ll cherish forever. 🎄✨

We had amazing experience. It was private tour with just two of us, me and my husband. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and interactive. If we had a quotation she always had an answer. She is “walking library”. This is very rear when tour guide is so competent. We had a great time. Highly recommended
