Kefalonia is een prachtig eiland in de Ionische Zee dat bekend staat om zijn wijncultuur. Een wijnreis in Kefalonia is een uitstekende manier om de wijngaarden en wijnmakerijen op de hellingen van Mt Ainos en daarbuiten te verkennen. Je leert alles over de beroemde “Robola” druif geïntroduceerd door Venetianen en hoe deze wordt gebruikt om unieke Kefalonische wijnen te maken. De rondleiding wordt geleid door deskundige wijngidsen die u alle kennis en expertise bijbrengen die u nodig heeft, over een reeks heerlijke wijnen met de juiste manier van proeven. Bezoek de kelders van elk wijndomein en volg het productieproces vanaf het oogsten van de druiven tot het rijpen van de wijn. Loop met je gids rond een van de bergwijngaarden van het landgoed en geniet van maximaal 12 - 15 verschillende soorten eilandwijn, waaronder lokale Robola en Mavrodaphne. Snacks zoals olijven, brood en kaas zijn ook inbegrepen. Je kunt ook genieten van het schilderachtige landschap van het eiland terwijl je geniet van enkele van de beste wijnen die Kefalonia te bieden heeft.

Gentilini is een kleine, door een familie gerunde wijnmakerij die opwindende en unieke wijnen van topkwaliteit produceert en tegelijkertijd de unieke smaken en aroma's van de lokale Kefalonische variëteiten promoot. Het was de eerste boetiekwijnmakerij in Griekenland en produceert nu een volledig assortiment unieke fijne wijnen die over de hele wereld worden geëxporteerd. Je wordt getrakteerd op een volledige rondleiding door de wijnmakerij en wijngaarden, gevolgd door een wijnproeverij, vergezeld van een bord hapjes en de extra vergine olijfolie van de Retreat.
Bezoek een modern wijnmakerijcomplex dat op harmonieuze wijze het oude – een traditionele faciliteit uit de 16e eeuw – combineert met moderne wijnproductiefaciliteiten. Divino is gelegen op het terrein van de oude familiewijnmakerij die is gerestaureerd als tentoonstellings-/museumruimte met een wijnbar, gerestaureerde faciliteiten voor de productie van strowijnen en de nieuwe, hoogtechnologische wijnmakerij, uitgerust om kwaliteitswijnen te produceren met respect voor de natuurlijke kenmerken en speciale eisen van elke druivensoort. Tegenwoordig bedraagt de jaarlijkse productiecapaciteit 100.000 flessen. De 12 geproduceerde wijnen en 3 uitzonderlijke azijnvariëteiten voldoen aan alle voorkeuren en zullen ieders smaak bevredigen.
In het hart van de Robola-wijnbouwzone hebben tientallen wijnmakers uit Omala en de omliggende gebieden in 1982 de Kefalonian Robola Wine Cooperative opgericht, in een poging het potentieel van de Kefalonian-wijngaard te beschermen en te promoten. De nieuwste Griekse wijnbouwcoöperatie bestaande uit 300 leden ontvangt 80% van de Robola's uit de zone met oorsprongsbenaming. Onder de nieuwe naam “OREALIOS GAEA”, geïnspireerd door het zeldzame terroir en het adembenemende natuurlijke landschap, luidt de coöperatie een nieuw tijdperk in, met activiteiten en oenologische praktijken die de lokale traditie respecteren en tegelijkertijd de lat van de wijnbereidingskunst hoger leggen!

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Wij zorgen voor een naadloze ervaring door ophaalservice te bieden voor alle passagiers, ongeacht waar u verblijft. Als uw accommodatie niet bereikbaar is met de bus, regelen we graag een handig ontmoetingspunt op de dichtstbijzijnde toegankelijke locatie, zodat u zich nergens zorgen over hoeft te maken. Ons doel is om ervoor te zorgen dat uw reis begint met gemak en comfort, ongeacht waar u zich bevindt! Als u in Lixouri verblijft en u wilt deze excursie bijwonen, is ophalen bij de haven van Argostoli. Voor deze tour is er geen ophaalservice beschikbaar vanuit de dorpen Agia Efimia, Sami, Fiscardo en Assos vanwege hun ligging buiten onze aangewezen ophaalzones.

- De wijnen die tijdens de tour worden geserveerd zijn voornamelijk witte wijnen, omdat dit de typische wijnen van de regio zijn. Rode wijn wordt geserveerd tijdens de tour, evenals dessertwijn.

Fantastic day out. The wines were surprisingly good, certainly removed all preconceptions of Greek wine. The oldest winery was awesome with plenty of history of the island pre 1953 earthquake thrown in. Great to meet Jack. We will certainly go on this tour again

This is one of the best tours we've ever booked on a holiday! It is so easy to book online. Pickup at our accommodation confirmed quickly when I emailed them. Our tour guide Katerina was so good. Passionate about Kefalonia. So welcoming to guests. She had so much enthusiasm and knowledge about the island and its history and, of course, about wine. We were a group of 12 staying around different resorts. The first winery we tasted 6 wines. All were really good. I even bought a bottle of the rose and I never drink or buy rose at home. The second winery we were led through 10 wines by Katerina herself and we all had so much fun tasting the wines together. We also tasted olive oil and a special vinegar. At the third winery, we tried 5 or 6 wines and were given a tour about wine production. We would book this tour again without hesitation.

The Kefalonia Wine Adventure was an excellent trip. A full day spent with our wonderful guide, Katerina, whose passion for Kefalonia was so interesting and heart warming. We were chauffeured throughout the morning and afternoon to three different wineries by our professional driver, George, where we learned about the wine culture of the island. We also learned about the famous Robola grape introduced by the Venetians. We were given all the knowledge and expertise to properly enjoy a wine tasting. All three wineries were great, but different and we thoroughly enjoyed learning each winery’s harvest and production process. We tasted various wines at each winery and enjoyed meze of breads, oils, cheeses and other wonderful nibbles with people from all over the world. Such fun conversations flowing at each tasting. We bought 3 bottles of wine and a bottle of balsamic vinegar with honey. If you enjoy wines, this is a must do adventure.

We had the best time, met a lovely group of people and our tour guide was great, there was 6 in our group so it was quite interesting finding out about each other and everyone’s take on the wine we was tasting. We visited 3 wineries and a boutique. Each winery was special in its own way, but my favourite was Divino Winery/Museum this had a lot of history and the wine was amazing, it’s what i imagined wine tasting would be.
We prioritize our wine adventures to truly provide an authentic wine-tasting experience! We are beyond delighted you truly enjoyed this excursion with us!
First winery visit the best, second very interesting but only liked 2 wines out of ten also no available WCs Third winery was good but very rushed Host Catherine was amazing and made sure we got a toilet stop after second winery
