St. Gerasimos is de beschermheilige van het eiland en zijn relikwieën worden bewaard in de kleinere kerk van het klooster in een zilveren sarcofaag die tijdens de diensten wordt geopend zodat de gemeente zijn voeten kan kussen. Gelegen in de Omala-vallei, met een prachtige klokkentoren. in de architecturale stijl die eigen is aan de Ionische eilanden. Een klein gat in de kerkvloer leidt naar een ondergrondse kamer waar de heilige als kluizenaar leefde.
We bezoeken een lokale distilleerderij-wijnmakerij die fungeert als een tentoonstelling van wijnen, alcoholische dranken en traditionele producten van de Ionische eilanden, allemaal geproduceerd met de liefde en toewijding van de lokale bevolking. We zullen lokale delicatessen proeven
Drogarati is een indrukwekkende grot van ongeveer 150 miljoen jaar oud, met opmerkelijke formaties van stalactieten en stalagmieten. Het is een zeldzaam geologisch fenomeen. De grot is ongeveer 60 meter diep en heeft een constante temperatuur van 18ΊC. De luchtvochtigheid van de grot bereikt 90%.
Zwem bij Antisamos Beach met in de hoofdrol de Hollywood-film "Captain Corelli's Mandolin". Het strand bestaat uit kiezelstenen met wit zand en wordt omringd door groene heuvels. De wateren van het strand zijn azuurblauw kristal. Het strand is georganiseerd met een snackbar, ligstoelen, parasols en watersporten.
Het beste zicht op Kefalonia, de grot van de nimfen, het beroemde Melissani-meer. Geniet van een ontspannende boottocht op het turquoise water terwijl de zon in de grot schijnt.
Het Karavomilos-meer is een prachtig meer van groot geologisch en biologisch belang. Hier vindt een zeldzaam geologisch fenomeen plaats
We bereiken het pittoreske dorpje Agia Efimia. Het is een rustige stad met brede straten en een goede stadsplanning, met een haven waar in de zomer talloze jachten van over de hele wereld naartoe komen.
Het strand van Myrtos is het mooiste strand van het eiland en een van de mooiste stranden van Europa, met hagelwit zand, een paradijs op aarde beschermd door hoge rotsen terwijl de zee sublieme combinaties biedt met kleuren variërend van blauwgroen tot diepblauw. Fotostop.
Bezoek het kosmopolitische dorp Fiskardo, de enige plek in Kefalonia die onaangeroerd is gebleven door de aardbevingen van 1953. Tegenwoordig is het een van de beroemdste toeristische resorts in Griekenland, met restaurants, cafés en bars en de beschutte haven staat vol met jachten. Fiskardo is ook beroemd om zijn traditionele architectuur en de kosmopolitische haven. Een wandeling door het traditionele dorp zal u vullen met unieke beelden van het aristocratische Kefalonia

We had an amazing day with Dimitris. He picked us up from exactly where we had planned at the time we had planned and then whisked us off to see all the fabulous sights of the island. He consulted us at every step about what we did or did not want to see and advised in the order. Using his local information to know when the best time to view certain things were to avoid large queues. During the journeys to and from places he would give us a run down on the history of the places and fascinating facts - he seems to know absolutely everything there is to know about the island even dealing with my youngest’s random questions with ease. He is also quite the photographer and will take as many photos of you in the beautiful scenic locations as needed. Plenty of ice cold water available which was super appreciated after walking in the heat for a while. He even recommended places to eat and we were not disappointed. Unfortunately our youngest became car sick during the journey (Not Dimitiris fault she’s just fell victim to Kefalonias roads) but Dimitiris handled this well. Seating her up front with plenty of air con and taking the roads carefully. Honestly a fantastic day was had by all of us both old and young. Would hire Dimitris again in a heartbeat.
Very enjoyable and knowledgeable driver. Panos made the Kefalonian experience worth while. We were able to see the different hidden gems of the island, and this entire tour I would highly recommend.
We had the best day out yesterday with Dimitris, we saw everything we wanted to in a full day tour, nothing was too much trouble and he tailor made the whole day to suit our needs. Dimitris was very friendly and knowledgeable telling us all about the island and took us to a beautiful beach to swim which we would never have known about without him. We saw all the best bits with no hasstle and at our own time and pace. He recommended a lovely restaurant for lunch where we had a table right on the sea edge with lovely food and great value. Nothing was too much trouble and if you want to see the island best bits in one day without getting on a huge coach with lots of other tourists then book this! Worth every penny!
Excellent day tour of the island. The driver Panios was able to adapt parts of the tour to fit in with our needs. Great attention to details. Would highly recommend. We had an amazing day and would use again
We had a fabulous day with our Guide Dimitri. Highly recommend this full day tour. We saw the sights and highlights of the island plus had an incredible lunch and time to swim. Dimitri gave us history and insights to the island all while making sure the day was tailored to what we wanted to see and do. Book this tour, you won’t regret it!
Our experience was amazing we had a fantastic day visit the island
Lack of clarity on booking meant that we had to pay extra to be picked up from Fiskardo, despite entering our address. Expected our identified places to visit might have been included in the price (Melissani & Drogerati caves). They were not expensive but be aware you are only paying for the driver! However, a great way to learn more about the island with a local and to be able to actually take in the scenery (as otherwise I am the driver). Panos made excellent suggestions but was flexible, and we visited places we would not have known about. St Gerasimos monastery is a must. Olive oil tasting was also a highlight. Overall

Very Nice tour to all the important Sports of the Island; stoping and changing the itinerary of we wanted, very flexível tour.
Our guide was knowledgeable and made the day informative and very special. We had a choice to see all the main sights. His advice to start first/early at the lake was spot on. We missed the long queues by getting there at 09.30am. Kefalonia is so beautiful and we were keen to enjoy the Island. We were picked up and dropped off at the Cruise terminal. Easy no worries about being late. Our guide, Dimitris, took photos of us together. Much better than a selfie. We learnt lots and so enjoyed the day and the Island. Want to come again.
We spent a wonderful day with Dimitris, who showed us not only the well-known sights but also lovely unknown places. We were able to customize the tour to our own preferences, and Dimitris took great photos of us. Small tip: Don't start too late and possibly skip something; otherwise, the tour schedule is very ambitious.
