Ervaar de sensatie van je leven met onze deuren-off helikopter tour over adembenemend Kauai. Tijdens dit spannende avontuur voel je de wind in je haren en krijg je onbelemmerd uitzicht vanuit onze speciaal ontworpen helikopter met de deuren verwijderd en de bediening door de piloot aan de linkerkant. Onze deskundige en bekwame piloten Gids u langs de iconische bezienswaardigheden van het eiland en delen onderweg inzichtelijk commentaar. Veiligheid staat bij ons hoog in het vaandel en onze helikoptertours voldoen aan de hoogste industrienormen. We vliegen een VOLLEDIGE 60 - 65 minuten durende tour. U wilt niet minder dan 60 minuten genoegen nemen, omdat dit onze piloten in staat stelt om op elk uitzichtpunt de tijd te nemen en de helikopter te draaien, zodat alle passagiers een geweldig uitzicht hebben, ongeacht de stoelopstelling. We vliegen met een MD500E vliegtuig, een van de veiligste en beste helikoptermerken ter wereld. We vliegen een volledige tour met alle stoelen verkocht. Maximaal 4 passagiers per helikopter. Tour check-in tijd is 45 minuten voor de tour tijd. Na het inchecken bij ons op kantoor en het verifiëren van gewichten krijgt u een grondige veiligheidsbriefing. Vervolgens wordt u naar onze hangar vervoerd waar u aan boord van het vliegtuig stapt en uw piloot ontmoet.
Na het opstijgen zijn uw eerste schilderachtige bezienswaardigheden de Nawiliwili-haven en de historische Menehune-visvijver. Dit is een goed moment om de tweerichtingscommunicatie uit te proberen, met je piloot te chatten en jezelf voor te stellen.
Nadat je over de Tunnel of Trees in Poipu bent gevlogen, ga je landinwaarts en laat je alle tekenen van beschaving achter je. Je vervolgt je weg door de Hanapepe-vallei richting Manawaiopuna Falls, beroemd gemaakt in de openingsscène van Jurassic Park.
Je begint een voorproefje te krijgen van de unieke geografie van Kauai wanneer je over Olokele Canyon vliegt.
Bekend als de Grand Canyon van de Stille Oceaan, ervaart u het beste perspectief van de beroemde kloof van Kauai en de vele prachtige kleuren waaruit de bodem en de vegetatie bestaan.

Tijdens onze VOLLEDIGE uurtour krijgt u meer tijd aan de kust dan al onze concurrenten. Onze piloten kunnen u van dichtbij en persoonlijk meenemen naar de prachtige kathedralen van Kalalau, hoewel afgelegen, weelderige valleien, en hebben nog steeds genoeg tijd om uit te vliegen en een breed perspectief van de hele kustlijn te krijgen.
Een prachtige vallei, bergkam en strand langs de kust van Na Pali die bijna altijd wordt gemist tijdens de kortere 45 minuten durende tours van onze concurrenten. Je piloot vliegt je dicht bij deze epische kliffen en maakt kans om wilde geiten te zien rondzwerven.
Krijg uitzicht op het prachtige Ke'e-strand, of zoals de lokale bevolking het 'het einde van de weg' noemt. Dit is het begin van de Na Pali Coast Trail. Het is ook de plek waar uw piloot de helikopter zal laten draaien, zodat iedereen aan boord nog een laatste blik op de kust van Na Pali kan krijgen.
Krijg een ongelooflijk perspectief op Tunnels Reef vanuit de lucht. Je zult beseffen waarom dit rif tot de beste snorkel- en duiklocaties ter wereld behoort.
Terwijl u langs de kust van de noordkust van Kauai vliegt, ziet u vele stranden, waaronder de populaire Hanalei-baai. Je vliegt omhoog richting de prachtige bergen boven het slaperige stadje dat vaak veel watervallen heeft, vooral na een beetje regen.
Nadat je de North Shore hebt verlaten, vlieg je naar het midden van het eiland naar Mt Waialeale, de slapende schildvulkaan van Kauai. De epische krater staat bekend als de Weeping Wall dankzij de vele watervallen. De krater kent meer dan 450 centimeter neerslag per jaar, waardoor het een van de natste plekken op aarde is.

Great time. Pilot was a local and gave us lots of details about the sights and history of Kauai. The ground crew was friendly and all had a strong focus on safety. I have flown before but never with doors off. It was exciting and scary at the same time. I was strapped in tight, but being a small aircraft, there is a lot of movement and being in an edge seat at 4500 ft with no doors played with my mind. Loved checking the “Doors Off” experience off on my bucket list, but my next flight will be “Doors On”. Over all, the views and 60 min flight cannot compare with anything else. This will remain a high point of my trip.
The pilot was professional, friendly, and did a great job flying the helicopter. The flight itself was smooth and enjoyable, and I appreciated the opportunity to see Kauai from the air. My biggest disappointment was the seating arrangement. I was seated behind the pilot as the only passenger on the left side, and it felt like the majority of the tour was oriented toward the passengers on the right with the flight direction mainly going clockwise around Kauai. During many of the scenic passes, I had only a brief moment to see the major landmarks before they disappeared from view. For much of the flight, I found myself looking out over the ocean or outward terrain of Kauai while the best views seemed to be on the opposite side of the aircraft. I understand that every seat offers a different perspective, but I left feeling like I missed or only got a small glimpse on many of the iconic sights that I had paid to experience. If you’re booking this tour, I’d strongly recommend asking about preferred seat assignments beforehand (not guaranteed) or considering an option where everyone has a more equal opportunity to enjoy the scenery. I don’t mind paying a premium for an unforgettable experience, but when you’re spending about $400, it’s reasonable to expect that every passenger has a good view of the island’s highlights. Overall, the pilot earned five stars, but the seating experience significantly affected my enjoyment of the tour.
It was incredible! A bit scary at first and them I made myself realize I wasn't going to fall out! Chris was our pilot and headed sure both sides had equal viewing opportunities. The scenery was beyond phenomenal! We spent a full hour on the tour. They warned us to bring a light jacket before arriving so it made the trip comfy! This trip was one of the most memorable highlights of my life!
We had a great doors off helicopter ride with Cassie. She kept everything very level and zero motion sickness issues. We went last year and the pilot was a bit more adventuresome. Cassie is a ex Marine. We did the 60 minutes guided tour of the island. Sure it’s $400 or so a ticket but worth it. Many would call a by her list thing.

Without question, this was one of the most incredible experiences of my life! I chose the doors-off helicopter tour, and if you're even considering it, do it! Flying over Kauai with nothing between you and the breathtaking scenery is absolutely unforgettable. The waterfalls, the Nā Pali Coast, Waimea Canyon, and lush valleys are even more spectacular than the pictures. The entire Jack Harter team was professional, organized, and made me feel safe from the moment I arrived. The pilot was knowledgeable, engaging, and made sure everyone had an amazing view throughout the flight. I've traveled to many beautiful places, and this experience is at the very top of my list. It gave me a perspective of Kauai that simply isn't possible from the ground. If you're visiting Kauai and can only splurge on one excursion, make it this one. Every penny was worth it, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
