Op deze plek ervaar je traditioneel Georgisch vers brood Shoti rechtstreeks van de bakkerij, gecombineerd met lokale zelfgemaakte kaas.
We gaan naar het Bodbe-klooster. Het is een van de belangrijkste religieuze plaatsen in Georgië. Tegenwoordig is er een nonnenklooster waar het klooster was, en de St. George-kathedraal, onderdeel van het klooster, bevat de overblijfselen van St. Nino, gelijk aan de apostelen, die het christendom naar Georgië bracht. Er wordt ook een nieuwe kathedraal gebouwd, waarbij veel van dezelfde bouwmethoden worden gebruikt die eeuwen geleden werden gebruikt om de beroemdste kathedralen in Georgië te maken.
Dit is de attractie die de stad zijn titel geeft als de stad van de liefde. Dit komt omdat dit blijkbaar de enige plek in Georgië is waar je op elk moment van de dag kunt trouwen.
We vervolgen onze reis. Sighnaghi is begiftigd met belangrijke historische en culturele erfgoedsites. De charmante geplaveide straatjes en steegjes zijn gerestaureerd origineel nouveau-houtwerk en de gedetailleerde gevels geven de stad een romantische mystiek. Sighnaghi, gefactureerd als de stad van de liefde, is een populaire trouwlocatie. De trouwkapel hier was de eerste die de klok rond werkte en Sighnaghi als bestemming op de kaart zette. In de trouwkapel worden nu ceremonies gehouden die dag en nacht plaatsvinden.

We had a great day out with our guide Khatuna. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and taught us a lot about Georgian culture, history and cuisine - we stopped for a delicious local breakfast en route to Signaghi, as well as lunch afterwards, and Khatuna helped us choose the best things on the menu, and not to over-order! The Bodbe monastery is beautiful, and Signaghi is a lovely little town to explore. After lunch, we headed to a local winery, run by Gyumri, who was also a star -he was very knowledgeable about Georgian wine-making techniques and also demonstrated some real Georgian hospitality. Really recommend this tour, and thank you Tamara!

Khatuna was such a great guide and made the kakheti trip a magic one. She explained everything on the way taking care of every details. The wine degustation is a must-see experience with a lot of explanation of the fabrication process and the georgian culture.

Great experience. Jonah was very informative and polite. He taught us about Georgian culture, wine making, bread making and day to day life in Georgia. We also had a great lunch with flavored lemonade in a cozy cabin restaurant in Signagi.

Love the Kakheti region, and Sighnaghi in particular. The city was lovely. Our guide, Goram was super nice and resourceful, with all the stories, some from his experiences (he mentioned he grew up in that region). The fun part was during lunch when he introduce us to cha-cha with khinkali. Love them! A little let-down with the wine tasting as it was too rush and not much information from the vinery. But with the traveling off harvesting season, we can't complain much.

It was a great day with my guide Khatuna visiting Kakheti and Sighnaghi. They are great places to see but the real fun is spending the day with a really great guide that knows her stuff and is an excellent person to have a conversation with. She knows the locals and takes you on the best little side visits for bread, cheese and even roadside wine tasting.
This was an amazing tour in Georgia. Our tour guide, Khatuna was so friendly and made the tour very enjoyable. She was always helpful and always had interesting facts and stories to share with us. The tour was personalized and made us feel very special and part of Georgia. I will definitely be doing more tour with Khatuna in the future when I come back to Tbilisi. All her recommendations were amazing. We had a lovely lunch with good view and food and she recommended a great place to try diner which was really good as well. Super happy with the tour and the overall experience. 10/10 for sure! ☺️
It was an awesome tour to the Eastern side of Georgia - Kakheti 🇬🇪 we have visited Bodbe's St. Mino's Convent with the breathtaking views of the Caucasus Mountains. Also, went to the city of Love called Sighnaghi (please try some Shashlik🍗 there!) and just enjoy the view! On the way back we've tried some famous local 🍷 at KTW Winery! And lastly (big kudos to the guide Alexi K.) we visited the main Cathedral of T'bilisi. I highly recommend to pick any tour with Friendly.Ge team! You won't be disappointed!

Chatuna (I hope I wrote it right) which in Hebrew means “wedding “ showed us and guided us through Tbilisi historical places with such patience and passion 😊 The next day she took us to wine tasting, a nice monetary, I real Georgian lunch and much more.
