We beginnen aan een comfortabele en schilderachtige reis vanuit Christchurch, die ongeveer 2,5 tot 3 uur duurt. De route leidt u door de North Canterbury regio van het Zuidereiland, en komt uiteindelijk aan in Kaikoura, een van Nieuw-Zeelands belangrijkste walvisspottende bestemmingen. Kaikoura staat internationaal bekend om zijn walvisexcursies, met name de mogelijkheid om potvissen te observeren. Kaikōura is a fantastic destination for marine life lovers. Seeing huge whales, cute seals, and playful dolphins and fishing along the shore was an unforgettable experience. It was such a pleasure to visit beautiful Kaikōura and watch its incredible marine life up close. The scenic drive made the journey even more exciting, with stunning views along the way. Our tour guide, Thomas, was lovely, welcoming, and made the trip even more enjoyable.

Alongside the whales & dolphins encounter, we enjoyed several picturesque sightseeing stops that showcased the natural beauty of the region. We took the Kaikoura Whale watching return trip from Christchurch. We feel the greatest experience we ever had on any tours! Excellent! What a lovely day in Kiakoura. The route was beautiful with many scenic stops. Paul was absolutely delight as a tour guide. Had a spectacular short coastal and captured few seals 🦭.
