Onze 1-daagse John O'Groats-tour vanuit Inverness is de perfecte manier om het meest bijzondere punt op het Britse vasteland te bezoeken! Zie Loch Fleet, verken Dunrobin Castle en geniet van een prachtig landschap tijdens deze eendaagse tour vanuit Inverness; hoofdstad van de Hooglanden.

Onze tour vertrekt in Inverness en reist naar het noorden, omhoog naar Loch Fleet, waar je misschien een aantal zeehonden en een hele reeks vogels kunt spotten - zorg ervoor dat je je camera bij de hand hebt!
Onze John O'Groats tour gaat verder naar het dorp Golspie.Het dorp, gelegen aan de Noordzeekust ligt naast Ben Bhraggie en is een aantrekkelijke kleine badplaats, met lange zandstranden. Breng hier tijd door voor een drankje voordat we verder reizen naar Dunrobin Castle.
Dunrobin Castle, een statig huis in Sutherland, is de familiezetel van de Clan Sutherland. Het lijkt op een Frans kasteel met zijn torenhoge torenspitsen en het kijkt uit over de Moray Firth. Je hebt hier de tijd om het prachtige statige huis, de tuinen en het museum te verkennen (optioneel extra) en te genieten van wat drankjes in hun tearoom.
We pauzeren op de Helmsdale Clearance voor foto's en om meer te weten te komen over de geschiedenis van het gebied.
We stoppen in het gebied rond de oude Vikingnederzetting Wick voor de lunch.
Na ons bezoek aan Wick, reizen we vervolgens naar John O'Groats; het meest noordelijke punt op het Britse vasteland. Hier kun je over het klifpad wandelen, je iconische foto nemen bij de wegwijzer, genieten van dramatische uitzichten op de kust en misschien wat lokale dieren in het wild zien. John O'Groats is een van de beste plekken in het Verenigd Koninkrijk om Atlantische papegaaiduikers te zien, misschien zie je ook grijze zeehonden of zelfs een orka!

We pauzeren op het strand van Brora voor foto's voordat we terugkeren naar Inverness.

Very beautiful excursion, excellent guide, highly recommended to everyone
Caz went above and beyond for us, stopped at extra places on request (and when we had time) and had some great fun facts while we drove! Was an awesome day in the Highlands.
Overall we enjoyed this trip. We struggled to find the meet-up point because the address was not provided in confirmation email. We ended up having to call the office and get directions live. Our guide, Paul, was new to the role (he announced it was only his second time). He was a very safe driver and pleasant overall. However, one reason we booked the trip was due to the many positive reviews mentioning stories, history and anecdotes told by the guide. We got none of that with Paul, in fact the 11 hour trip was mostly silent on the bus. Early in the trip I asked him about the legend about "silkies" and he did not know what I meant and said he hadn't had time to brush up on his legends. Isn't this part of being a tour guide? it seems he should not have been sent out alone without being fully prepared. Having said that, the views were wonderful, we did see seals far off, and a few puffins which was a life goal. Lots of sheep and some Highland cows from afar. The castle was a highlight especially the gardens. Highly recommend the falcon demonstration! Fish and chips at the blue food truck stand at John O'Groats was terrific.
Fiona was a delightful guide and driver. She was an excellent storyteller and highly professional. We would definitely travel with her again.

We had a blast on this tour. Despite some minor technical issue our minibus had in the morning we covered everything on the list and some more. Castle is big and falconry show was amazing. History is gruesome sometimes but views are spectacular. Our tourguide/driver Lewis was entertaining, courteous and knowledgeable. I appreciated all the details he provided about history, flora and fauna, geography etc. It created comprehensive picture of a beatiful place. John O Groats was fun, but my favorite was Duncansby Stacks and puffins nesting near it Wish we would spend a bit more time in that magical place. Our "extra" was a quick stop at Carn Liath - one of many brochs left from pictish people. Highly recommend this tour: you will cover a lot if ground and will not be disappointed.
A relaxed and enjoyable trip with an excellent route. The driver's commentary was great—humorous and well-paced, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
We did the day tour to St. John’s Ogroats, and it was absolutely beautiful. Everything was well organized, and the places we visited were stunning. A special thank you to Paul, who was fantastic – knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
The excursion was very entertaining, and we visited some incredible landscapes. To mention something negative, I would say that seeing orcas/seals/puffins is not very feasible unless you take the boat excursion that goes a bit out to sea. In our case, for example, we did not take it, and due to the timing of the excursion, we did not see anything.
