Welkom op onze stadsboerderij! Apikol is een distilleerderij voor stadslandbouw in het centrum van Quebec. Rondleidingen worden geleid door een van de mede-eigenaars van de imker en distilleerder. U zult gefascineerd zijn door de wereld van de bijen tijdens de observatie van bijen aan het werk in onze korf (4 seizoenen). Daarna ontdek je hoe we onze ambachtelijke alcoholen maken van onze honing. Het eindigt allemaal met het proeven van onze alcohol.

De tour van 60 minuten is inclusief: • Bezoek onder begeleiding van een gids (een van de eigenaars) over de interpretatie van de bij, de extractie van honing en zijn transformatie, fermentatie, distillatie, rijping, formulering en botteling. (45 minuten) • Proeverij van 3 producten onder leiding van een van onze experts, waaronder sprankelende mede en 2 sterke dranken van onze 4, om te kiezen op basis van uw voorkeuren. (Mogelijkheid om anderen toe te voegen tegen een kleine meerprijs). (Duur: 15 minuten)

A really interesting experience led by the owner who was really passionate about what the business was trying to achieve. We learnt a lot about bees! And indeed the alcohol was excellent. A very interesting tour - an absolute recommend!
Apikol is an excellent visit! Zachary gave us an impressive presentation about how are raised in the city. He educated us about how the honey is harvested and used to create excellent beverages. The distillery is spotless! Our tasting was another excellent experience and it was hard to choose just one thing to bring home so we chose more including jars of honey. We recommend this!

I absolutely loved this tour and tasting; learned so much about bees and beekeeping as well as all the processes for making alcohol with honey!! Our guide was a perfect teacher, and the tasting inspired me to purchase a bottle of their sparkling mead to bring home. Highly recommend!!
Very informative! The tastings at the end were great. They even made a mocktail for my daughter which she loved. All and all a great experience! Highly recommend.

This was an informative and fun tour, Fred was knowledgable and explained everything very clearly in excellent English. We really enjoyed all his analogies when explaining about the bee life cycle, bee hives and honey production. The distillery process was explained very well whilst looking at the processing equipment. At the end we tasted 3 of their products and had the chance to buy their alcoholic drinks as well as jars of their locally produced honey. Many thanks Fred for an excellent way to spend a rainy afternoon in Quebec City😊
