This was a very informative walk about the city and Quebec City is a beautiful part of the world to see and visit. Gigi did a wonderful job of showing us the highlights of the upper and lower parts of the city. We we finished the tour, we had lunch at a small cafe and sat outside. It was a very European experience while in Canada. We then took the funiculaire back up to complete a wonderful day.

Yes was a super guide and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about Quebec’s rich history. It is an amazing city to visit and the walking tour was one of the highlights of our three day visit from CT. Thank you Yves!
Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with this tour. The advertised 2-hour walking tour ended up lasting approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, which was considerably longer than expected. Our guide, Chantalle, was clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about the city, but we found her storytelling extremely difficult to follow. She spoke very quickly and jumped frequently between different people, events and time periods, which made the history feel quite disorganized. At times, she seemed to lose her train of thought or begin a story without fully explaining how it connected to what we were seeing. By the end, we felt as though we had heard a lot of information but hadn't actually come away with a clear understanding of much of it. There was also very little interaction with the group. No one asked questions during the tour, which seemed less about a lack of interest and more because it was difficult to find natural opportunities to engage or clarify what was being discussed. We took the tour on September 30, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, and were particularly surprised that Indigenous history or the Indigenous peoples of the area weren't mentioned at all. Given the date—and the importance of Indigenous history to the region—this felt like a significant omission. Overall, the tour would benefit enormously from a more structured narrative, a slower pace, clearer transitions between stories, and more opportunities for guests to engage. Chantalle's enthusiasm is obvious, but the presentation needs considerably more organization for that knowledge and passion to translate into an enjoyable and educational experience. After nearly three hours, we unfortunately walked away feeling like we hadn't learned very much, which was disappointing.
Simon the guide was one of the best guides we have ever had. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history and character of Quebec City. He was clear with explanations and was very interactive with the group.
Our **two-hour walking tour of Old Quebec City was truly a five-star experience**. Our guide, **Mark**, was outstanding. He demonstrated the remarkable ability to walk backward through the streets of Old Quebec while maintaining an engaging and informative commentary on the city's history—and somehow managed to do both effortlessly. Mark had an excellent sense of humor and an impressive breadth of knowledge. What particularly distinguished his presentation was the way he brought history to life. Rather than simply recounting a series of events from the distant past, he often spoke in the present and future tense, as though Quebec's history were actually unfolding around us. It was an unusually effective way of telling the story and kept us thoroughly engaged. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, although it was a bit chilly. We had dressed appropriately and were quite comfortable. My only mistake was carrying a little too much in my backpack, which left my shoulders aching by the end of the walk. My advice to others taking the tour: **travel light and wear comfortable walking shoes.** Old Quebec is a wonderful city to explore on foot, and having a knowledgeable and entertaining guide made the experience that much better. We are very happy that we chose this walking tour with Mark and recommend both him and the experience wholeheartedly. **Mark and the Old Quebec City Walking Tour: 5 out of 5 stars.**
Panoramic UNESCO World Heritage Site Québec, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada Friday, Sep 25, 2026: 9:45 AM–12:05 PM Our UNESCO World Heritage bus tour was excellent. Our tour guide was James, who was proficient in both English and French. Our bus driver was skilled, quiet, and mostly invisible. James kept up an informative banter and answered all questions asked. The two-hour tour was a 5-star experience.
Loved that our guide was a history teacher and was excited about teaching us about the history. Very beautiful city
Simon, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Quebec. He was charming and made a point of engaging with all members of our group. Having locked myself out of my apartment I missed my timed tour. The company were kind enough to slot me into a later tour, for which I was very grateful
We lucked out getting Carmen for a tour guide! She was overflowing with information and animation - what a pleasure to be part of her group! Highly recommend!
Our family was very happy with the tour. We would definitely recommend it. Mark was an excellent and informative. Entertaining tour guide.
